This time I'll host a simple flavorless game.

Setup:
This game will use the F11 setup. One of these four setups will be picked randomly and used:
1 - Mafia Roleblocker, 1 - Mafia Goon, 1 - Cop, 1 - Doctor, 5 - Vanilla Townies
2 - Mafia Goons, 1 - Cop, 6 - Vanilla Townies
2 - Mafia Goons, 1 - Doctor, 6 - Vanilla Townies
1 - Mafia Roleblocker, 1 - Mafia Goon, 7 - Vanilla Townies

Alive:
1. JInxyjem
2. Rantai
3. bmin11
5. akrolsmir
7. Lincolm
8. Kanye West
9. Jayel

Dead:
6. Sync - Mafia Goon - Lynched Day 1
4. Nyquill- Mafia Roleblocker - Lynched Day 2

Sample PM's:

General:
1) Do not quote your role PM or anything the mod gives to you.
2) Do not post screenshots or any sort of factual evidence of private communications, either with the mod or amongst yourselves.
3) Do not edit your posts.
4) Do not talk outside of the thread, unless your role PM allows so.
5) Mod has the final say on any issue. If the mod makes a mistake, feel free to PM him to sort it out.
6) If you need any help, or have questions, or just want to talk in general, feel free to PM the mod.
7) Dead people may not post in the thread.

Day:
1) Game starts at Day.
2) Deadlines will be 96 hours tentatively. Extensions may be placed depending on the activity.
3) You may vote someone by using this format: Vote : Player. You may also choose to not lynch anyone: Vote: No-Lynch
4) You may also remove your vote by using this format: Unvote
5) When a player receives more than half of the total votes at any point during the day, that player is automatically lynched.
6) Once a player is lynched, there shall be no posting in the thread even before the mod posts the lynch scene. Night will commence shortly.
7) If no one has been lynched, and the deadline has passed, the person with the most votes gets lynched. If there is a tie, the one who reached the tying amount of votes first, is lynched.
8) A player has to remain active, at least one post per 24 hours. If a player has not posted for 24 hours, one may request for them to be prodded.
9) If the player prodded doesn't respond, a he/she will be replaced.
10) If the player gets prodded three times already and still becomes inactive he/she will be automatically replaced.
11) If no replacement can be found. The player will be modkilled instead.

Night:
1) Night lasts 24 hours.
2) Any roles or factions with active night abilities may choose to use them by PM-ing the mod (see the Role PM for role-specific instructions).
3) Once the deadline for night has passed, all actions not received will count as a No Action.

It's one of the 4 here. No one truly knows which one right now, that's why it's a semi-open setup.

And we must find the those mafia with voting right?

OK, this is scary.

At the very least we know that there are 2 scum, regardless of the setup. Which means safe lynches D1 and 2.

Which isn't much if we're dealing with the 4th setup.

How is that going to help? Maf and Doc will fakeclaim VT, and if we have a Cop and he claims, then the mafia would know if there's a Doc or not due to the setup while town still can't confirm the setup.

And if everyone claims VT we're back to square one.

It is sort of complicated.... since I'm a newbie here, though I've played Mafia games in many other places... :/

And we know each night we lost 2 man if we don't catch the mafia.

It has been 33 hours already since the start of the day, meaning we have around 70 hours left, and yet you start a random vote. Kayne, are you sure your vote is not going to impact the lynch result, or you simply don't care?

And are you guys really want a random-vote-fest while we only have 56 hours left? Remember, we are not in the same time zone (I'm in S.Korea for example) and this means we will be taking atleast a day or two to actually have some kind of a discussion. So please, hold you votes back.

Thought I'd like to mention when kanye started the random vote it was not late at all, 70 hours to discuss and provide results. In fact, we had even less time for anime mafia and a random vote proved somewhat useful.

But seriously if we're doing a random vote we need everyone to follow through, if we started one at around the time bmin posted, it wouldn't have been too late

I'm not sure your idea of a random vote squares with mine, but having everyone follow through is absolutely not necessary to create enough useful information to discuss which IMO is the point of rvs.

@Akro - Could just be overly cautious (which doesn't make much sense when I think about it, for the first day).

I'm worried of townies getting lynched from lurker's random vote. I'm skeptical that people will fully participate D1, after watching several games before this one.

I know this went well for Themeless Mafia, but the chance of this happening is 2/9 + mafia lurking, which I think it's quite slim.

I see subtle scumpainting of bmin here. bmin was unwilling because he felt there wasn't enough time and a townie could end up being lynched, not himself.

I don't see the point of this argument at all. Are you suggesting that disagreeing with risking possible town lynches leads to being over-cautious of it's own life?

Especially with a lynch that is based purely on words and no actions. The thing that got me raising an eyebrow was this is coming straight off a player with a vote on him. Not much but it's curious.

@bmin We're always going to be risking town lynches, unless we have a claimed cop. Our chances with a lynch (2/9) are much better than our chances of waiting for the nk (0/9).

Also, what is up with explicitly pointing out Sync's lurking and NOT prodding him? (prod:Sync)

Thus far I have not been dissuaded of lynching bmin.

It's uncharacteristic of you that you have gotten your facts wrong. Sync was the one that got the first vote and was the only vote when I started rambling about "it's too late and dangerous to start a RVS"

I guess it could be taken that way if we look at Nyquill's vote (which came after my post) and my second post following that, but why should I suddenly change my thoughts just from that single vote?

Cool, thanks for the extension; I was out of town yesterday. Sure we could lynch lurkers, but no one's really lurking anymore, are they? I guess my RV still stands for now anyway. I don't really want to vote bmin unless town reaches a solid consensus. Being cautious =/= mafia.
