IRC Taiko mod
19:51 <Kurosanyan> : Porque so ha kiai na tua mappa? :(
19:52 <PhNyx> : só?
19:52 <PhNyx> : ele não colocou kiai nas outras diffs?
19:52 <Kurosanyan> : Não
19:52 <PhNyx> : oh god LOL
19:52 <PhNyx> : aponte isso no seu mod
19:53 <PhNyx> : ele tinha mas acho que tirou
19:53 <Kurosanyan> : ... SV 1,6 ;_;
19:53 <PhNyx> : yes
19:53 <PhNyx> : 1,4 é pouco
19:54 <PhNyx> : 1,6 é recomendado para baixos bpms pelo que me falaram :p
19:54 <Kurosanyan> : Sim, bpm 105 :v
19:54 <PhNyx> : c:
19:54 <Kurosanyan> : Mas eu nunca gostei do SV 1,6 :(
19:55 <Kurosanyan> : Jogo as mappas lentas com HR
19:55 <PhNyx> : eu tambem
19:55 <PhNyx> : só usei porque em 1,4 fica um pouco lento
19:55 <PhNyx> : e o bpm em sí já é lento
19:55 <Kurosanyan> : hahaha combo colours vermelho e azul mas 0 new combo
19:56 <Kurosanyan> : hueheuhue u lazy
19:56 <PhNyx> : sim sou
19:56 <PhNyx> : hehehehehe
19:56 <PhNyx> : eu fazia isso antigamente, agora não faço mais
19:59 <Kurosanyan> : 00:32:596 (74) - k here because it sounds better and then 00:32:596 (74,75) - fit with 00:33:739 (79,80)
19:59 <Kurosanyan> : -
19:59 <PhNyx> : lol wait I'll open it
20:00 <PhNyx> : so sad cannot have sections on IRC -.- but ok
20:00 <Kurosanyan> : D:
20:00 <PhNyx> : ok, done
20:00 <Kurosanyan> : 00:35:739 (88) - here a d?
20:01 <PhNyx> : hm, both k and d fits here
20:02 <PhNyx> : d sounds soft
20:02 <PhNyx> : k, changed to d
20:04 <Kurosanyan> : 01:20:596 (294) - k?
20:05 <PhNyx> : hm, I prefer d here so it sounds like a variation from 01:16:025 (274,275) -
20:06 <Kurosanyan> : k'
20:07 <Kurosanyan> : Nothing else to say. Patterns are a little weird and I think the map isn't consistent enough (you make too
20:07 <Kurosanyan> : much different patterns) but it should be okay I guess.
20:09 <PhNyx> : the song itself is too repetitive and I tried to find different patterns because it's already low bpm and I didn't
20:09 <PhNyx> : want something boring hm

[Difficult]
00:20:024 (1) - Remove this new combo; it doesn't make any sense. Add a new one at 00:20:596 (7) for ~*consistency*~.
00:29:739 (1) - Replace this whistle with a clap on the slider's end-point for ~*consistency*~.
00:35:310 (5,6) - Not even sure which part of the music you're trying to represent here. If you still want to do something different here, two triplets fit the music way better. Timeline Reference
00:59:310 (5) - Add a hit-circle here like you did in the pattern starting here: 01:01:453 (1). You know, for ~*consistency*~.
01:11:453 (2) - Either add a clap here like you did at 00:53:167 (2) or remove the clap at the spot I just mentioned.
01:58:596 (9) - Add a hit circle here to follow that synth and for ~*consistency*~. It'll ruin your pattern but that's no excuse.
02:06:310 (3) - I know the music/hitsounds are getting quieter, but add a finish here like you've been doing for the last 6,000 or so measures or else it sounds unexpected and shitty. ~*consistency*~, again.
02:06:882 (6) - ^

[Niva's Normal]
-- Gah, so many places where you're ending sliders on beats where there should be a hit-circle or a slider start-point. Because you're not stressing the beats appropriately, the player gets less of a feel for the music. Also, it messes up combo placement, especially if you're inconsistent with it. Oh well, it'd require way too much work for a difficulty that is pretty solid otherwise.

01:14:882 (3) - It'd sound a lot better if you replaced the clap with a finish. It'd tie right in with the sliders. Try it and decide yourself.
01:40:596 (1) - Add a finish at the start of this slider like you did at 01:31:453 (1). The music is pretty dramatic at this point.

[Relaxing]
00:41:167 (1) - Replace the whistle with a clap for *~consistency~* reasons.

lol, hitsounds

call me back

edit:

[Taiko]
USE 1.4 SV; 1.6 BAAAAAAAD
Taiko is a percussion-based rhythm game. If you can make the map around both the melody and percussion, then great. However, at the very least, you need to be consistent and arrange your dons and katsu in a way that compliment the music.

00:36:024 (89) - Add a katsu here to follow that snare-like thing in the background (and for consistency). Change the roll if you have to.

I see no problem about that slider ends (as it's not an absolute rule and, as you said, will left too much work if the entire diff is fully revamped)... Fixed the hitsounds anyway~

1.6 is okay for low bpm and I prefer it this way

02:08:025 (502) - this note is overtaking the previous note because you change slider velocity. Please either remove it or don't change the slider velocity.

Uhm, I don't think that pattern overlaps badly... It's a variation of this and has been used in many other ranked maps (this or this, for example)...

Made them tidier (especially 00:35:453 (4,5)) though, thanks Saturos-fangirl (:
