Oh man, i'm knocked out of the top 50 too... really got some catching up to do ^^;.
I just arrived a week or so ago, and I'm 90th. I don't know if this is good, but I sure am proud! I mean, I have a silver SS, and even Saturos doesn't have one.
I could go way up, I only need to get me some more beatmaps.

I haven't really played much of hidden on the easier stuff because, quite frankly, it gets boring when it's too easy. Lately, I've been replaying a lot of stuff and bettering my old scores..my goal is to S rank everything that I could only A before and atleast A everything that I have B's/C's on. One day I'll get around to bettering those by playing everything on hidden, don't you worry.

It's good for you because you're in top 100 already.
It's not good for the community because it means maybe only around 100 people are playing seriously.
(Of course, this could be a completely misguided conclusion...)
Hard to say - I'd like to just rely on the answer "maybe they're just mostly playing unranked completed beatmaps" but most of the users on this forum don't even bother with the forum and probably don't even know Completed Beatmaps exists ={Echo49 wrote:

Or maybe everyone's just got a dozen or so beatmaps that they love and just play 'em to death. Okkusenman~
Several factors contribute to my low ranking
-Poor skill
-Poor hardware (mouse)
-No quota to get new songs
-No time to play
Apart from that, I guess there's no excuses for me to have a rank consistently around 100

->No time (I mean too much hwk and also science test coming up)
->Poor Accuracy
->Freezing temperatures
->Slow Computer
