Opening a Wii TaTaCon to fix Sensitivity?

Was curious if anyone has actually done this. I received one a few days ago and it seems that the left rim is less sensitive then the rest of the drum. I was hoping I could fix this on my own somehow (I don't really want to go through the hassle of re-shipping it back to Hong Kong from the US)

I tried opening it up, but it would seem that the drum itself either doesn't come apart easily, or there is a hidden screw I might not be seeing?

Edit: I have the Pega third-party drum it would seem, not the official TaTaCon

Got it open, the screw I was missing was directly in the center, covered by a sticker. There are no screws under the rubber pads or the silver sticker at top

The middle pads seem to have rubber contact pads or something to register hits. The rim uses some weird thing though, not sure how to describe it, but I'll have to take pictures some other time. It's like 2 layers of plastic with metal in them, and I guess come in contact with each other when hit. It has maybe 8+ of these on both left and right sides.

As to how to make it more sensitive, I have no idea. Pressing the little sensors by theirself with my finger, they seem to be somewhat sensitive, but the left and right sensors react to about the same pressure. I tried duck taping the left side down further, but it doesn't seem to help.
