I'm wondering: Are there any logical reasons except for "it was always like this" to use Fahrenheit and the Imperial Units? There probably aren't, but why are people still using them? I wouldn't mind personal usage, fine, if you learnt it like that, I wouldn't want to force you, but why aren't e.g. American weather forecasts not even showing the temperature in Celsius (http://puu.sh/ogVy)? They'd just have to add a second number and distinguish which number stands for fahrenheit and which one stands for celsius. I don't know, maybe I'm expecting too much of american weather forecast shows. Don't mind me ranting.

I agree, but it's not as easy as "just switching over". Freeway signs will have to be fixed all across the nation and the educational system will have to be changed, not to mention forcing everybody to learn the new system. Edit: A quick status update from G+ "Went to the The White House for a special tour and to watch "To Kill a Mocking Bird" where I got the opportunity to see President Barack Obama when he introduced the movie. Sadly I wasn't able to get any crystal clear pictures of him while I was there but it was a wonderful experience nonetheless. Thanks to everyone who made this a possibility!"
