I disagree DxS, I'm sure all the people who signed up for insane are great players, but unless PP or MooNiZZ were playing I can't see ledzur coming close to losing. ^_^

I've seen most of the pros play, and I must agree with MooNiZZ "It will be an insane spinner tournament". Why not add mods to insane but not to the otherones?

I can understand why you wouldn't use Hidden coz only weird people are good with that ^_^, or Flashlight (no-one uses that anyway), but Hard Rock could make some good tournament maps IMO.

Totally agreed.

Nowdays we usually play maps with HR only, Since the other ones is either too easy, or impossible to pass. there's almost nothing in between that without HR.

About hidden, yeah weird people are good with that, try playing a faster song where you have to react when you see the fruit at the top, then hidden doesn't matter. Hidden on fast song is exactly the same as without. That's it

Actually, if there are some good Easy-Hard players out there, it will be a spinner contest for all the difficulties, meaning that this tournament isn't fair for those who can get the best runs in the spinner and still beat the top score even if they have a percentage less than the top score (which could be a score with 100% accuracy. >_<).

Well, u can put another difficult in the Tourn, wich only Moon and me can register, and PP if he want ^^

If u want i can leave the tourn, its ok for me and u can have pretty matchs, as well, i play for fun only, TF2, L4D and CS calls more ma attetion. :)

mkay so this will be my first post on the osu forums :x

so what I've gathered from this Mooniz obviously being the amazing player he is, as well as Ledzur are angry that there will be no mods for the insane category that I am also in?

I also disagree with there being no mods, because pretty much I play with HR + Hidden most of the time.

But the whole fight about why is there even a tournament is stupid, what's wrong with a tournament? is it soooo terrible? It's just going to increase the CTB activity and help out osu overall, there is NOTHING wrong with a tournament, so stop being stuck up jerks and let this happen, you're only creating stupid childish drama for no reason what so ever.

Congrats, Mooniz and Ledzur you guys are both the best CTB players here, but you don't see PeterPrime or L creating drama like this over the tournament. They are both very good players as well.

Also this tournament will increase the overall skill of other players, isn't that what you want, for people to actually challenge you? So stop whining and let it happen smoothly. It's nice enough that there is a tournament besides just multi and single player.

that's my lil saying 8-)

I'll add a line.

I never said there was something wrong with the tournament, but after talking with several people and getting insulted by pretty much everyone on multiplayer before i even started posting in this thread (Yeah the time before i started kicking people). Made me realize, that being in a competition while being insulted throughout the whole thing, isn't a fun way of doing it.

My opinion stands, Without mods, there'll be a spinner competition. That's pretty much everything i said from the beginning.
I asked BG ingame about mods and he said that he would do something about it, some days later he posted another "There will be no mods"-post on the forums. (Y) I Trust in thee.

Treat others as you want to be treated yourself.
(Since there will be "but you're an asshole on mp". I'm just saying, i didn't start insulting alot of people, i got insulted by them for weeks, which is the reason for my current behavior online.)

I'm a damn sensitive person, i usually can stand them. But having people just joining a room to insult you over and over, for weeks gets on my nerves, that's why i'm kicking people when they do something stupid :)

For a tournament to be succesful, you need to have a date set and everything fixed.
If you make them signup and then it won't start for another 2 months, people will plan other things.
Think about that until the next one.

Try it now. Few days ago our server was failing.
That's why you saw error message. It wasn't caused by error in the submission code.

Well... Or the servers are down again, Or there is an reail error now. When I try to sign up I get this nice little error:

Although, i'm busy with setting things right at Lime... And busy talking with VALVe about access to Steamworks SDK. :P
Website *updated*. I'll review new beatmaps NOW. Also, please note that submission system (both for Beatmaps and User) wasn't working properly since 10th June 2009. That was caused by moving to another server... And expiry of my old domain name. Everything is back and works as it should.

I think at the start the TOs were going to have it in May, assuming they were going to get 64 sign-ups in April. But they can't start until they get all the players. It seems Catch the Beat isn't maybe that popular.
BagnoGamer, you might want to update what's in the first post with what you said on your IE-hating website in regards to mods.

Catch the Beat's not that great, Standard's better. Mostly weird people or people with crap mouses play CtB.

Catch the Beat has a lot of good Chinese/Taiwanese players, have they been told about the tournament?
