About first picture, checked artist's pixiv and that picture is original. :<
I tried to create pattern of staples as background (similar to anime opening) but... meh, I don't know myself.

Both are great actually! I can see where you were going with the 'stapled' background in the first pic, so I think I'll use that for now.

Hmmm, on second thought if there's some contrast between the top/bottom panels with the pic bg (i.e. maybe the same bg with a lighter shade of purple?), it might look better - what do you think? Idk.

also, I did made a psd of this, since its a lot simple to do anyways. hope u not mad. no credits because I had see a similar layout for same thing on other forum a long time ago
