Region locking... I'm stuck playing the Japanese version which I can't even find at where I live but I guess I used the word exclusive wrongly (box art is also a big factor though, runs~)Dieathan wrote:

I got the game, exams are keeping me from it though orz... And I like jrpg's yoda ( I like all sorts of RPGs in general) edit: I didn't realize I double posted sorry D:Seibei4211 wrote:

Anyway, after a solid 18 days of nonstop playing, Kingdoms of Amalur is finally done. I'll probably never play a better western RPG than that, but that's not saying much. Also, for such a huge fucking game, it never froze once. And it never got old for me. I've moved onto Fear 2 cause I wanna see if it is, in fact, a scary game. So far, there's been too much boring FPS crap.
Word, I should join the party.Seibei4211 wrote:

Talk to Mafiamaster and Ivalset. But I think most of the people who frequent this thread play at least some JRPGs.YodaSnipe wrote:

No, not really, it's another heavily flawed game. It's very focused on grind.YodaSnipe wrote:

Abyss, Symphonia, and a little bit of some others.Seibei4211 wrote:

Also, Ival and I are big Resonance of Fate fans, Yoda.
I like the ps3, hope you have no problems with that D:YodaSnipe wrote:

Yeah, it's coming out at a bit of a bad time. I've been waiting for a US PS3 Tales game forever, but there are a lot of other games I wanna play this month.Ivalset wrote:

Wow, I only just found the game on the shelves among many other games that weren't in the New Releases section despite being a new release (Came out this Thursday).YodaSnipe wrote:

For some reason I don't like bioshock as well... I think I've figured it out why, it's te time period, I don't really like anything set far into the future or bioshock's time period (modern yet ancient ala la noire)Seibei4211 wrote:
I'm happy they're finally making a new Assassin's Creed game instead of remaking the same one. New traversal, new combat style, new free-running style, etc. And they're apparently ditching the castle defense thing they stuffed into Revelations, so that's nice. A bow and arrow will be cool to use. I wanna see what they mean when they say that momentum is a big part of combat now. It seems like it'll be less counter-based, so that's cool.
Edit: So yeah, I got really bored with Fear 2. Fighting the same fucking enemies with boring guns over and over just to get an occasional, not-even-scary pop-up... Trying out Bioshock. I don't know why I didn't like this game when I tried the demo, because I'm having fun with it.
Was it the collector's edition from the site? I heard they were only shipping that from the site /hence i preordered thereDieathan wrote:

From what I've gathered after playing for about an hour, it's definitely better than the first game in a number of ways. Combat's much faster-paced and a bit more challenging, the skills are a lot less frustrating since it now just depends if you have enough AP to use it, dungeons are slightly more interesting, enemies are more creative and possibly a few other things.
No. They don't even sell the Collector's Edition in the PAL regions from what I know. I just picked it up from retail.YodaSnipe wrote:

About HD repacks,Jak n Dexter Collection made me happy along with MG collection.Seibei4211 wrote:
Fuck. Yes. It looks like the Ratchet & Clank Collection is finally underway. I've been waiting for that ever since they came out with the God of War Collection.
Actually, there was one. It was rated PG by the ACB bizzarely enough and I have a copy with that same rating.Rantai wrote:
There is no official AU release. That probably doesn't help its numbers.

I've just heard that it's one of the rarest PS3 games that exist, which probably explains its scarcity.

No Noire?Dieathan wrote:
Last chapter on mk2 right now.
I still haven't gotten Noire join my party yet since there are barely any quests to raise Lastation's shares in Lastation and yet Arfoire doesn't have any shares to mooch off anymore since I already got rid of all of them.
Well, at least I'm almost done. Been playing it for about a week now.
EDIT: Just beat the game with the Normal and Human/Makers Endings. Time to get those other endings if I can.
I don't understand why you wouldn't research those products first. I've even read an article about how horrible the first game was even before it came to PSN.adam2046 wrote:
IT'S CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES FIGHTING! Why the hell wouldn't I buy it? Because it sucks, yeah...
Bought Skyscraper because it was so bad and the opening was hilariously bad. Long story short, it broke a controller somehow.
I was really expecting Gungrave to be a lot better though.
Really should have bought Maximo or Shinobi...
I did research Skyscraper and BCV, I just didn't think that they'd be be more horrible than entertaining.Pokebis wrote:

It looks like cow feet because it's a Tabi Sneakers. I've also finished both inFAMOUS games and i gotta say they're both awesome (the 2nd is better though). Right now i'm playing Ratchet&Clank: Crack in time and Naruto Ultimate Storm 2, and i got my eyes on Star Wars for my next gamerust45 wrote:
Just beat inFamous 2 (shortly after the first one) and I have to say it was pretty enjoyable. The only problem I have is that some of the powers aren't as sweet as the powers in the first one. Chain lightning anyone?
Oh yeah, did anyone else notice that Cole's feet kinda look like cow feet? There's an odd indent at the tip of his shoe's.
Oh, Noire can join your party. I just didn't think I'd end up locking her off by accident on my first playthrough. Did too many quests that raised Planeptune's shares in Lastation and I couldn't fix it sadly.Rantai wrote:

Those are both signs of a very poorly designed game. RPGs are supposed to engage nearly immediately (within the first 2 hours) with their mechanics if not their storyline. The fact that we've accepted what FF13 brought to the table is a sign that we're all lowering our standards. The fact that I both acknowledge and accept the problem suggests I'm one of the worst, too.Seibei4211 wrote:
They almost always take several hours to start revving up. You didn't even finish the Final Fantasy XIII tutorial for, like, 12 chapters.
