Been playing Mario Kart 7 for the past few days and I think my Ghost Data is appearing on the Ghost Data that Nintendo sends through the Mario Kart Channel via SpotPass. I've even beaten the all of the regular Staff Ghosts and gotten close to beating some of the expert ones as well.
As a side note, that turn after the mushroom jump on Rainbow Road is just sinister. Especially since you can't see it until you make the jump.

It's totally unsightreadable. I fell off the first bunch of times I played the track because I took it right in the middle instead of staying to the left. You also need to time your tricks carefully or you'll bounce too far.
The worst part is probably the turn with the 4 drops around the small moon. When I land them, I begin drifting the wrong way for some reason unless I press R twice. The huge corner cut at the end also takes a lot of luck.
It would be nice if Mario Kart Channel would always send the world records, and also if you could watch replays of ghosts.

They seem to be blocking glitched ghosts from appearing through Spotpass. I hope they can still figure out something serverside, like preventing the track from being chosen, or making glitchers explode in a giant fireball forever.
The reasoning in that article is not to put out a revised cartridge, since people with the first version would still be able to do the glitch. This doesn't rule out the forced-update-to-play-online possibility.

Well but they could do it like with Zelda Skyword sword.
But even then ... You have to dwl it the patch channel . I guess there would be still people who wouldn't do that because they are idiots.
But you have to connect with Nintendo before racing online so it should be possible to force people to dwl the patch "channel".
I hope they will fix this sometime ... or i just play with communities who don't like choosing this Wuhu track.

I am GMT + 10 but I randomly go on Mario Kart when I can. I don't exactly have a scheduke per se. However maybe knowing what times you guys are usually on would help

I wouldn't do the glitch on my time trials. It would prevent the game from ever storing a legitimate record there for me ever again, and Nintendo filters out glitched runs for Spotpass.

So I just checked to see how many coins I currently have and noticed a title below my Mii: Banana Blitzer. Do these titles even mean anything? (Also, apparently whether it's Worldwide or Community, all your Wins and Losses are tracked together; I have over 1k wins and 400+ losses, and I haven't even been doing Worldwide that much.)
I think it has something to do with your streetpass ghosts... like, determines your ghost's AI or something. I've had no luck getting streetpasses though so it's not like I'm able to try such a thing out!
Soaps right it determines your AI but for Grand Prix. So if you use a lot of Bananas you will be Banana Bltizer and if you StreetPass someone you'll appear in their Grand Prix randomly and put a whole lot of Bananas everywhere >_>Blazevoir wrote:

But blue shells are so useless. You get them from position 5 - 8 and they hit the first guy. Yeah so great, you just wasted an item.
Ok in Mario Kart 7 the blue shell also can hit people that are on the shells way not like the DS version but still, it is a stupid and useless item.
I don't know anyone who likes that piece of crap.
They removed the ghost for some reason but why not the blue shell?

Yeah, you can still only get 2 stars with 40 points... From what I've seen, you need to finish x seconds ahead of everyone else (thus close-call races aren't good enough).

I also think that the red shells is almost like the blue shell, I mean the other player can be so far away and it will follow you even though you can protect yourself.
Blocking reds with items is more reliable than blue shell dodging ever was.

My point is this:
You are 5th and get the blue shell, you shoot it and it hits the 1st but you don't get anything. It only helps people on 2nd or 3rd place.
It only helps you if you are lucky enough to hit the 2nd and 3rd (maybe 4th) with the explosion of the shell.
I don't know if it is possible to get the blue shell as 4th but i guess 5th is the best position for that.
Even worse if you get BS as 8th.
It is my opinion and i have no problems with yours but i guess it is impossible to convince me that the BS is useful.
It is just a passive item which only helps people a few places behind the 1st but not the guy who gets it.
The same is true of the lightning bolt.
If blue shells originated from the environment instead of other racers, there'd be much more rage.

maybe but atleast you profit by lightning bolts if you get them and you can protect yourself if you are lucky enough to have a star.

Well atleast you can abuse the bullet bill in the "Wii Mushroom idk the english name ^^" if you using it in the right moment before the end of the track where all the many mushrooms you have to jump/glide other, it won't end until the final curve before the goal :3
