Unless there's a way for us to tell you there's a kartparty going on, then the only way for you to know is to be lucky, as mm201 said.

You say you don't keep osu! turned on but is there another way to contact you? Like AIM or MSN or something? I'd happily take a few seconds to message you whenever it's going down if it's an option.

Also, knowing what times people are around may help. I'm generally around most of the evening after I get home from work, which tends to be between 6-8pm (GMT-5). Often I'm around at random on weekends too.

And if there isn't a game in progress, why not try starting one? A number of us have kartparty on our highlights now for exactly this purpose.

And I didn't wanna try starting one since... well... I didn't know when everyone usually gets on. I'd leave my 3DS on, even in Sleep Mode, but... a battery that only lasts about 7 hours at max isn't long enough, especially if you wanna play your 3DS nearly every day. I'm reluctant to play because of that ._. (I'm also more reluctant to charge it/leave it on the charger because I don't want the battery life to go down sooner.)

I live in germany so i have CET (GMT + 1 or UTC + 1 / UTC + 2 while summertime) i hope this is right xD

On weekend i have no problems staying the whole night awake ^^ so if the time differences are to big i can do something against it ;)

I have Fridays/weekends off, so I can afford to stay up all night on Thursdays. GMT-5. -4 during Summer. I don't notice highlights on irssi, so try to catch me on osu! or I can stalk you in my 3ds friends list.

Good games, everybody! My hands are still shaking...
That first RR was like a perfect run. Besides falling off the ripply road with holes too early.

General observations:
Blazevoir is cool dude
When Soaprman is around, things get messy.
Remmy is mediocre at everything.
I am the undisputed banana/green shell champion
SNES Rainbow Road is a road that you go to die.

Been playing Mario Kart 7 for the past few days and I think my Ghost Data is appearing on the Ghost Data that Nintendo sends through the Mario Kart Channel via SpotPass. I've even beaten the all of the regular Staff Ghosts and gotten close to beating some of the expert ones as well.
As a side note, that turn after the mushroom jump on Rainbow Road is just sinister. Especially since you can't see it until you make the jump.

It's totally unsightreadable. I fell off the first bunch of times I played the track because I took it right in the middle instead of staying to the left. You also need to time your tricks carefully or you'll bounce too far.

The worst part is probably the turn with the 4 drops around the small moon. When I land them, I begin drifting the wrong way for some reason unless I press R twice. The huge corner cut at the end also takes a lot of luck.

It would be nice if Mario Kart Channel would always send the world records, and also if you could watch replays of ghosts.

Anyway, we seriously need to have an 8-person community race. (I'd also love it if we could, say, get on Vent so we can hear each other rage XD)

EDIT: So I did Worldwide afterwards... Ended up doing Maka Wuhu 3x in a row ._. UGH! (Seems like Metal Mario players pick that a lot...)

They seem to be blocking glitched ghosts from appearing through Spotpass. I hope they can still figure out something serverside, like preventing the track from being chosen, or making glitchers explode in a giant fireball forever.

The reasoning in that article is not to put out a revised cartridge, since people with the first version would still be able to do the glitch. This doesn't rule out the forced-update-to-play-online possibility.

Well but they could do it like with Zelda Skyword sword.
But even then ... You have to dwl it the patch channel . I guess there would be still people who wouldn't do that because they are idiots.
But you have to connect with Nintendo before racing online so it should be possible to force people to dwl the patch "channel".

I hope they will fix this sometime ... or i just play with communities who don't like choosing this Wuhu track.

Just stalk players in your friends list and try to drop in on their games.
If more than 2 gather, they'll probably call for a kartparty so stay in #videogames.

I recently heard of this glitched shortcut on Wuhu Mountain Loop and I checked one of the ghosts I got from Streetpass doing this shortcut. I tried it myself in Time Trial and here's the time I got:

I am GMT + 10 but I randomly go on Mario Kart when I can. I don't exactly have a scheduke per se. However maybe knowing what times you guys are usually on would help :)

I wouldn't do the glitch on my time trials. It would prevent the game from ever storing a legitimate record there for me ever again, and Nintendo filters out glitched runs for Spotpass.

Yeah, Maka Wuhu was called "Wuhu Mountain Loop" in other versions, and our Wuhu Loop is "Wuhu Island Loop"

So... I've seriously been wanting to have an 8-player kartparty for a while now (over Community, of course)... If possible, can we try to get everyone together tonight or tomorrow night around... I dunno... 10 PM - 12 AM CST (GMT -6)? (Not saying that's how long I'd want us to play; you can play as long as you want/drop out whenever.)

So apparently I do better in large battle courses with lots of rooms. And it's okay when Soaprman is a dick in races, but not me in battles? ._.

So I just checked to see how many coins I currently have and noticed a title below my Mii: Banana Blitzer. Do these titles even mean anything? (Also, apparently whether it's Worldwide or Community, all your Wins and Losses are tracked together; I have over 1k wins and 400+ losses, and I haven't even been doing Worldwide that much.)

I think it has something to do with your streetpass ghosts... like, determines your ghost's AI or something. I've had no luck getting streetpasses though so it's not like I'm able to try such a thing out!

Soaps right it determines your AI but for Grand Prix. So if you use a lot of Bananas you will be Banana Bltizer and if you StreetPass someone you'll appear in their Grand Prix randomly and put a whole lot of Bananas everywhere >_>
