Beatmaps can only be made with MP3 files right? Well I have some song files i would like to try mapping, unfortunately they are WMA files. Can I get a recommendation for a way to turn audio files into MP3 format without having to buy software?

PS. This will be my first mapping attempt, any tips for a first timer?

Actually both mp3 and ogg is fine, and there are many free software can do format transform
If you have trouble in doing this, I can do this for you, just send me the wav file
BTW if you offer the song name, maybe I can try find a mp3 file for you

Here are two free softwares you can use, i prefer Goldwave, but audacity seems to be more popular

Just put the file you want to convert into the program and save as mp3 192kbps, ez.
