I didn't use it to confirm my role. The idea was to use someone who was likely mafia as a puppet to hunt down other mafia, then cut the cord to incriminate him. Here is what I had planned for day 2 after I'd sent day 1 (I didn't want to keep lunaticmara around at this point):

Contrary to popular belief I am willing to roleclaim in situations where it makes sense. Very few of these situations involve you.
