I prefer getting as close as I can (<5000) then just nofail+mods to get the exact score needed. You end up with less D ranks that way

I guess the closest for me that's reasonable is 200,000,000 or 222,222,222. I'll aim for that because there's people with 2 fetishes...Eventually. >_>; I don't know about 2222 or 2000 plays though.

I think an easy way though to get a good amount of plays when it comes to getting the score is to first get to the target score as fast and as close to the score as possible without going over.

Once you're there, you'll have x attempts to get that one desirable score. Assuming you don't mess up and use all your attempts (Which shouldn't be the case unless you like exiting songs), you'll get the target score with x amount of plays left.

Now all you need to do is go to some ranked beatmap, play a bit, then quit. That'll count as one more play to your plays...And just keep spamming on and on with that until you reach your desired playcount...

I'll give an example.

Suppose I want to get to 100,000,000 with an 1,000 playcount.

Let's say I play until I reach 99,998,000 with only a 980 playcount (Just using these numbers to make it easier with math). I need 2,000 points to reach 100,000,000 and I have 20 shots to do it. All right, suppose it took me only 1 play to reach that 2,000 point mark and voila, I have 100,000,000 points. But I only have 981 plays. How can I get the remaining 19 plays?

Just go to whatever ranked beatmap and play a little then quit. Doing this 19 times will get to 1000 plays...
Though this will jack up your level score depending on how you do...:X
