After playing this, I feel a need to rant.
It's beatmaps like this that make me pissed off about the way the ranking system currently works. This is one of the coolest (if not THE coolest) map I've ever played, yet here it sits,
without a single BAT having even entered this thread. And why? It's certainly not its priority ranking, which currently sits at +10 (is the Kudosu system even working?). It's not that you don't know what you're doing; this map is awesome, the people who've modded your map thus far seem to agree, and judging from the amount of Kudosu you've pumped into this thing, you obviously know what makes a good map. It's not that you lack dedication; you've put three Kudosu stars on this and have heeded every bit of advice that's been given to you. No; all it takes is looking at your profile. Not a single ranked beatmap yet, and a relatively low in-game rank. This only goes to prove the point I made in my Feature Requests thread that
most BATs are extremely biased as to which maps they give modding/ranking priority to. Thus, maps that oftentimes still need work get ranked while truly stunning maps like this get left in the dust. That, to put it quite bluntly, is
&%$@ING UNFAIR.Okay, that's enough ranting for now. It's just that this map is so effing cool that there's simply no excuse a BAT hasn't modded this yet. Once I find a way, I
will be making an appeal for a BAT to mod this map.
But now for the
VERY MINOR kinks that need fixin':
[Rookie]
0:33:599 (2) - New combo.
0:31:370 (5-8) - Move this group a lv. 3 space left so that 5 aligns with 4, yet proper spacing is still maintained.
0:40:948 (2,3) - Move these a lv. 2 space right.
2:19:791 (2,3) - Try moving these next to the slider's end instead of underneath it, that way they don't give the impression that the end of 1, 2 and 3 are the same rhythm distance apart.
2:25:540 (1) - Move a lv. 3 space left.
2:27:696 (1) - ^
[Incarnate]
0:31:641 (5) - Move a lv. 3 space down.
0:48:534 (5) - Align this with 4.
0:55:360 (6) -
Optional: new combo for consistency's sake?1:09:732 -
I absolutely ADORE the way you link sliders like this!1:14:043 (2) - Try moving this next to the end of 1 instead of underneath it so the player doesn't get the impression they should click it at the same rate as the linked sliders.
1:34:552 (4,5,6) -
These linked sliders are even cooler than the last set!1:44:223 (1-4) - Move this group a lv. 3 space up so that 1 aligns with the end of the slider while maintaining correct spacing.
2:15:839 (3) - Move it a lv. 3 space right.
2:24:462 (8) - Two things:
Optional: new combo? Also, yay for more cool, linked sliders!2:53:205 (2) -
AWESOME SLIDER!!!2:58:953 (1,2) -
Optional: Link these? Pleeeease?3:25:899 (7,8) - Move these a lv. 3 space up.
3:29:492 (3-6) -
I just can't get enough of these![Rhythm Master]
(To save space,
YAY, you kept the cool linked sliders! )0:52:486 (1) - Move it a lv. 3 space down.
1:38:474 (1) - Seems a strange place to start a new combo...
2:12:246 (6,7,8) - Move this group a lv. 2 space left.
2:24:462 (1,1)
Optional: Link 'em? PLEEEZ?2:42:785 (1,2) - Move 'em a lv. 3 space up.
2:50:510 (1) - Why is this note its own combo?
2:53:205 (3) -
RETURN OF THE AWESOME SLIDER! YES!!!3:03:264 (2) - Move this next to 1 instead; stacking them is misleading after the previous two stacked groups.
3:20:510 (5) - Start combo here instead of next note.
Optional: maybe extend this difficulty to the end of the song? After such a cool map, it seems shameful to let that much song go to waste! (Not to mention you have that weird bookmark floating around by itself; it made me think there was more!)As you can see, the problems left in this map are very,
very minor, and can be fixed in minutes. Like I ranted before, considering how cool this map is, I'm nothing short of irate that the BATs haven't even given it the light of day.
I'd give you multiple stars if I could, but I can only give you the one, unfortunately. Outstanding! Better than several
ranked maps I've played!
