confused about what? 2 people have pm'd me a roleclaim

the concept is this:

1. mass claiming wins games

2. people don't mass claim because of possible negative side effects

3. mass claiming to 1 person, assuming that person is town, eliminates all negative side effects

4. the person claimed to can also act as a proxy, and so is a perfect fit for a civilian (to entice a night kill)

I don't really want to trust Two just yet. Wolves would benefit a whole lot from knowing who the roles are much more than a pro-town player.
The wolves will probably roleclaim as a vanilla townie/civilian in order to hide behind the few players that have to claim as that role or actually have that role. If everyone does roleclaim to you, wont' that raise suspicion to the wolves and get you NK'd? The Angel may or may not protect you depending on if they believe you're pro-town or not. Pro-town players will most likely give you correct roleclaims, so we don't need to worry about that.

Too much WIFOM!

If you were the vigilante, this would make this easier.

I've never seen that PM the role thing , is that even doable? .. i find it hard to trust people if i'm not 100% sure they're town anyways , and D1 it's not helping much cause it's being really quiet .. the day seems long enough to get some conclusions tho , but it'll be better to seize it


I can't gather much infornation just yet about players .. i'll try to do my best when i can give my opinion .. but now there aren't lots of pots to get it.

We are just assuming that Chris was hinting to be a Vig while there is still a possibility he could have different roles. I don't think it's right to think "This, thus that" at this point. So, I'm not sending my role to you until Chris confirms (and even that, I would feel comfortable to just send it to Chris)

There's no and/or option? I guess it makes sense with how Chris reacted. (Semi-meta) I've always thought Chris would play similar to how you do and expected him to be less direct about his role. There's the possibility of him being a wolf, but I'm not sure yet. bmin pretty much has the same reasoning as I do.

I don't see why you're targetting Chris, isn't vig is the one role you can can claim that actually makes you more likely to be town? There is no point in a wolf claiming vig since that's the only role that's actually mod-confirmable.

If it's because he's not willing to shoot somebody on Day 1 to prove it:

If somebody fakeclaimed vigilante then yes, the real vigilante should shoot him.

I'm saying that if Chris was indeed a wolf then why would he softclaim a role that is pretty much impossible to fakeclaim successfully?

Sounds pretty logic to me , but since it's an almost-confirmed wolf , and i say almost cause maybe he's vigilante roleclaim it's true .. so , wouldn't it be better to find another wolf now and make the real vigilante , if there is another one , shoot him , if that doesn't happen i guess he can shoot someone and the mod will proove he's the real one .. i mean , we could use this lynch in a better way , that's my opinion.

I'll save my vote for now anyways.

Lynch me if you feel you can save one day doing so , i'm just telling you the best option in my opinion , we have 3 more days to find more evicende on a safe lynch , Chris it's an easy thing to solve as i said before .. why waste 1 lynch like this? If he's the real vig it wouldn't be worth it .. and if he's not it just takes 1 night to figure it out.

The reason it's just obvious , the almost confirmed wolf that can't be faked leads to the chance to seize this D1 lynching another wolf and prooving chris innocence , if he's the vig we have a confirmed town and one probabbly well used lynch here.

I also have supposedly 4 total civilian claims

first of all, I want to say that I hate you all

second, I want to say that I hate the vigilante for being horrible (shoot chris pls)

third, why the hell are some of you trying to lie and say civilian, come on now

both animask and salvage brought up the guardian angel when talking to me - werewolf tell

animask and salvage both refused to claim - werewolf tell

salvage even went so far as to say that he wouldn't claim even if town was going to waste a lynch on him

as far as adam refusing to claim, he also refused to claim for absolutely no reason in the last wwg so it doesn't say much at this point except he is bad

oh and there's more than that that I'm not going to say at the moment

Two: He is probably playing this werewolf game like his other ones. I guess I still find him weird since I've never really liked him in any of the games. I normally don't like roleclaiming on Day 1 so I'm going to possibly roleclaim on Day 2 unless something comes up. His aggressiveness makes me think he is a civilian due to him pressing on everybody so far.

Chris: Two finds him suspicious for hinting at being vigilante. The only role that can be mod confirmed. Two said he would confirm his role. It's possible that he meant confirming his role in a loose way (like claiming and giving results).

Salvage: I think he might actually be a civilian even though he was been playing with a lot of scum tells. If he's not that good at this game, he'll have to learn somehow.

Everyone else needs to talk mor---... No, you guys should post chat logs instead.

If I get NK'd, Two is probably the one to blame.

Seems to be the most suspicious to me besides Two. I think Two & Chris could be wolves. After Two hooks everyone in with roleclaims, he'll make everyone think that he is a civilian and kill all the good roles. Two is the most... aggressive and information seeking so he seems innocent for now.

Sorry for not posting guys, I'm lacking internet at home right now for reasons unknown and I've been at work a lot with a stripped down workstation as I typically work via remote desktop (lol can't do that with no internet at home). << direct copy from other mafia game thread.

Basically I'm going to refuse to claim at this point in time as well. I get that mass role-claim's win games for town but with 4 civillian claims and 3 refusing to claim I find it highly unlikely everyone is telling the truth. There's also the possiblity that Two isn't who he seems.

Two: Is that 4 civilian claims other than yourself? Because I would find those people pretty fucking suspicious.

Also: can someone please show me where Chris said he was the vigilante?

if you really want to bring that up, let's point out a few things

1. there was a serial killer who won by killing certain roles, is there one in this game? no

2. that setup was horrible

3. I knew you lied, you knew I knew you lied, not sure why you are trying to argue that me being right all the time makes me wrong

4. town actually did share a win with serial killer that game, unlike you and your team who once again lost

care to explain why you are glossing over chris' incriminating lack of activity? how about the fact that you are targeting someone who is both new, has a language barrier, and no "political" sway? what about being afraid to roleclaim to me since you've already insinuated you aren't a civilian and don't want to risk claiming a duplicate power role?

I never insinuated I was or was not any role. If I were a civilian why would I tell you lest I risk claiming the 5th duplicate of a role in a 14 person game? If I were a power role why would I claim to someone who I can't confirm town just because other people did?

I'm just not sure about you this game. Why rolefish day 1, focus on me after you THINK you've already pegged mafia member, and not hunt the other people who first refused to claim. Salvage seems to speak english pretty well enough to want to play a game like this, and he seems pretty freaking scummy to me. As for Chris' inactivity, sorry, I wasn't in on this as I've been without internet / not reading this forum or IRC for a while now.

Also why bring up your half-win like its some sort of accomplishment. Its called a pity award given to the 2nd place losers. In the end only bmin won. Don't fool yourself into thinking you won that game. P.S. - Chris' role in that game was hilarious, and the hosting was incredible. Also my mafia team in that game was retarded, not much I could do.

I've been browsing as invisible since before this game started. Nice try though.

Like I said, it's impossible for werewolves to win this game. It really doesn't matter to me in the long run if you're a wolf or not, it's just boring when people refuse to make the game interesting by not risking a claim.

I don't know the game seemed pretty dormant before I came back. I feel like I'm making the game more interesting.

And for the invisible browsing thing I just thought it was hilarious that you feel the need to be invisible. Hell, if everyone playing mafia games went invisible maybe you'd be right about who was mafia more often because you wouldn't always pressure lurkers.

D1 in a Werewolf is probably the most abstract thing ever. One reason is that it's so open and the fact that no discussion taking place at all and just votes being placed is probably how it is. There's nothing to go on unless you do something on your own initiative.

Which is why people are just blindly following Two because he's the only influential poster thus far. I'm pretty sure someone else is doing work behind the scenes as well, werewolf or not.

Also, a lynch can tell a lot of things. Unless of course...you lynch the coroner. Like a dumbass.

Where does it say that he roleclaimed as the Samurai? Someone else could be the real samurai. Two is mass scouting/roleclaim hunting. The
strategy seems familiar, so the best thing to do is to give an answer that will best suit your role. Someone else probably fake roleclaimed who is a civilian/pro-town. That's the only weakness that I can see in his plan. Wolves will fake roleclaim or not claim at all. So he's probably trying to get a wolf to fake roleclaim.

Two is openly doing this and I have no idea what everyone else is doing.
