Tablet Recommendation for osu!?

Wasn't exactly sure where to post this, so I went with the General Discussion area.
If this is the wrong section please feel free to move it.

Getting down to the reason for me creating this.

I've decided to give tablet play a try for a while until my QPAD 5K arrives, at the moment I'm borrowing my sister's (birthday present) Wacom Bamboo Fun Craft but I'll eventually be handing it back to her when her course continues in the practical area again.

After using the tablet for these past two days, I have been highly enjoying it and this lead to looking into purchasing my own tablet for myself.

I've looked at getting the same model that I've been using (only costs AU$223) but am willing to splurge a little more money on a (better?) tablet.

Is the Wacom Intuos4 Medium 6x9 a reasonably decent upgrade over the Bamboo model?
How does the pen for this tablet compare with the Bamboo variant?

I would like to thank people in advance for their advice.

Unless you plan to use your tablet for graphical purposes other than osu!, you can stick with small sized tablets.
The difference between an intous4 and a bamboo pen only is the design and pen size + the extra grip. Might also be a little difference in latency,
atleast it feels that way to me when I use my intous4.

If you're going to buy an intuos4 for the sole purpose of playing osu!, then you're wasting money. The only benefits that you'd get are improved recognition height of the pen and more solid build quality, neither of which will make enough of a difference in osu! To justify the enormous price gap between a bamboo pen medium and the intuos4.

Now, if you're going to be doing some serious digital art, then the intuos4 would really shine. However, the many features that make it a great (and expensive) art tablet are useless in osu!.

that too.

actually i was in the same problem before getting my bamboo one. i was gonna get the intuos4 medium JUST for osu! i don't even draw lol.

$350 vs $69 huge gap for getting features i have never needed in osu! since i got my tablet.

some people say intuos4 feels nice for tapping tho but i don't think you want to spend extra $281 to practice a style that feels awkwardly weird and somehow doesn't feel so accurate to me (of course there are exceptions like TTTL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDwkOyaTf9o that are pro at it).

Get a Tablet PC or a Cintiq 21UX Heavily overpriced but hell. it's bloody worth it.
Never tried the Cintiq but it's better than a tablet PC.

Anyways, realisticly, get a bamboo.

I disagree that I should disagree with that. :D

Cintiq's are sexy, but at the asking price starting at $1000 for a 12-inch screen, it's out of the budget of most people, even some professionals. There are DIY Cintiq kits available that knock the price down to about $800 for a 15" Cintiq based off of a Large Intuos4, so that's certainly an interesting option, and IMO that's bloody worth it.

I don't like Tablet PC's compared to a Cintiq because they last as long as the computer does, whereas a Cintiq can be carried over into new machines. However, they're reletively cheap compared to a Cintiq and computer, plus allow you portability, so it would largely depend on your needs.

This lol. Tried osu! for a little bit on a touchscreen and my hand does get in the way. Would much prefer my standalone tablet over a touchscreen.

Majority vote is for Bamboo. Good for the money and does the job very well. Simple as that.

hahahaha i wanna see someone spending over $1000 just so they can see they can't do mad insane streams / super fast jumps followed by some more death streams in there no matter how much they practice lolol.

I would like to thank you all for your input and views on this matter.
In the end I've decided to purchase the Wacom Bamboo after seeing that plenty of people value this particular tablet itself and know that it wont turn out to be a colossal waste of money.

Now all that's left is to buy a mechanical keyboard to replace this horrible Alienware (rebadged Logitech) rubber dome keyboard and I'll be set for a while.
I already know which one I'll be buying.

I'll be getting a razer black widow with blue switches :DD if i'm not mistaken some pro players chose that same keyboard.

For osu! you'd rather want a linear then a tactile switch, such as the black (g6v2, zibal are the gaymer choices here) or preferably red (probably a filco, which would be a tad harder to obtain).

The blackwidow is great value for the money, but it isn't anything out of the ordinary. Clearly its better then pretty much all rubber domes, but within the mechanical keyboard class its "just another keyboard with mx blues".

oh so i heard but black switches i heard they are more hmm "stiff?" lol and i did try to find kb's with red switches but dang i didn't find a good one lol.
