for those asking for this to be ranked:

right now we're working with alden on getting one other OWC osu! original out the door (that being gllensista from last year), after which we'll be focusing on getting this ready

unfortunately the mp3 on this is exactly 5 minutes long, which you think would be fine (although you'd have to extend the ending spinner past where the song ends), but the song starts 2 seconds in -- the drain time is 4:58 with that in mind, and there's not really any way to reasonably extend it to be marathon-length

what this means is there needs to be a spread from insane onwards for this set, similar to the ro32 tb which is ranked already. good news for people that want to play this song that aren't gunga-aimers, for sure, but it does mean this is gonna take more time to cook and get fully ready compared to the other tiebreakers, since we need minimally two additional difficulties (potentially three)

tl;dr this will be ranked, we just have other priorities right now

unfortunately it's mostly up to the mappers' discretion whether or not they want to rank custom maps for tournaments and has been that way for a while -- there are a decent chunk of them that do go for ranked, though (OWC 2024 already has a few in ranked at the moment outside of custom songs)

i would love to have all high-profile tournament custom maps ranked too i.e. stuff from corsace and owc, but it'd be a logistical nightmare to 1) get spreads for every set that needs them and 2) coordinate ranking en masse all of the customs in a timely manner

even for the osu originals themselves we've been struggling to actually coordinate and manage time effectively, rn i'm basically the only person really pushing for the sets to go for rank and it has been a special type of hell managing all of this with how many conflicting schedules, timetables and work ethics there are -- and that's just for pushing around 15 sets; multiply that number by 5 and you would get how many customs are made per OWC, and hopefully you can see why No One Wants To Do That.

if you're looking for specific tournament customs to be ranked i'd recommend trying to see if the mapper is interested in doing so in the first place, otherwise shoot it up for loved where it's practically guaranteed to get in based on history
