00:05:910 - quite minor but i think this note could be d like 00:05:620 cuz they're similar in pitch? kinda also avoid same color to finisher as well

permalink

i rather leave it as is, i feel it suits vocal tones better

00:12:878 00:14:620 - remove
00:14:233 00:15:201 - add a note

doing this will help emphasize a line of lyrics with a full chain and cutting chain on moving over to the next line?

permalink

only removed the notes u suggested, didnt add because i feel it wouldnt make too much sense

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

actually nvm, i feel leaving it as a stream represents the background sound better

permalink

00:13:943 - no reason why sv should go lower like this, it kinda ruins the structure you established at 00:09:297 00:11:039 00:12:588

make it go upper like the other 3 would make this nicer and more consistent

permalink

sure

00:16:717 - there is technically no note here, maybe shift this to 00:16:846 for the drums? (can also do 3 triplets here for the drum beats, i.e. add 00:16:588 as well)

similarly, shift 00:18:305 to 00:18:039 and maybe do K finishers for 00:18:105 and 00:18:372?
(for example 00:17:839 - kdddK d K d K, or can do something else if you like)

permalink

moved notes accordingly, but i didnt want to change to finishers

00:20:781 - 00:22:656 - maybe try mapping the swing 1/3 drums here?

imo it would be more interesting and fitting to the song here, compared to the 1/2 mapping currently

(can also do the same for oni)

permalink

ok, but kept 1/2 for oni for better difficulty progression

uhh i was kinda thinking of adding notes at 00:20:692, 00:21:228, 00:21:719, 00:22:299

and removing 00:20:960, 00:21:585, and maybe 00:22:121 lol

permalink
Reopened by doulph

maybe up to you though (i like to map accurately to the song lol)

permalink

yea that works too (i didnt even realise there was a 1/3 drum wtf its so subtle)

00:37:476 - i think you can add a note here for vocal. you dont seem to avoid 1/4 finishers all that much (evidenced by 02:08:900 02:20:238)

permalink

or if u have those 1/4 finishers by accident (or other structure thingy) u may wanna fix those instead

permalink

sure, bumped the finisher sv by 0.1 to make it easier to read

00:39:217 - adding a kat here would make this small little section go mirror it looks kinda cool imo

permalink

yes

00:40:557 - pretty clear 1/4 synth here, add note?

permalink

this too 00:40:691, if you follow #4863980

permalink

ok, bumped finisher sv too

permalink

i changed my mind i think mapping 1/2 for the last 2 notes make the vocals stand out more

permalink

leaving this open for now

permalink
Reopened by chairIess

i think leaving it at 1/2 plays better

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

just my opinion, but i would fill in 00:40:557 as dk K here, since similar 1/4 synth bursts are mapped fully in other places (can keep the 1/2 rest at 00:40:691 for the vocal break though)

up to you though

permalink
Reopened by doulph

(can keep current if you really like it ig)

permalink

i'll just keep it as 2 1/2 breaks

00:58:972 - think u can start sv from 1.1x instead? the 0.07x jump here feels kinda random and a bit jumpscary imo

permalink

01:20:400 - same here

permalink

ok

permalink

01:02:722 - would be nicer to invert this chain to ddddddddk so d could go with drums? kats feel kinda weird on drum imo, esp whenyou're going for a mono like this

permalink

sure

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

01:02:722 - starting the sv from 1.1x feels less drastic and feels more smooth imo. current looks a bti forced with how fast the svs are accelerating, and it kinda makes the chain feel disconnected too

permalink

ok

01:07:008 - i think the gradual svs here make no sense. it's not a buildup or anything that warrants a keep-going effect if u know what i mean

if u still wanna sv this small part i feel like a sharp sv jump 1.1x from 01:07:008 to 01:07:543 would make this funny vocal part stand out better than the current gradual accel

permalink

01:13:034 - svs here too. for this section just make it flat outside of the finisher sv bump (if applied this bump sv on finisher 01:17:186)

permalink

ok, made the part x1.05 with x1.1 finishers

01:08:213 01:08:280 - quite clear 1/4 drums, add notes?

01:08:615 - bump sv on finisher like 01:04:329?

01:08:749 - a bit kinda weird that you mapped 01:08:749 on nothing then nothing goes on actual drum spot at 01:08:883. would recommend moving 01:08:749 -> 01:08:883 and delete 01:08:949 to highlight vocal

permalink

i made it ddk k im not sure how you wanted it to go, made more sense than just forcing 2 doubles

permalink

01:14:641 -> 01:14:842 would help highlighting the blue tick vocal at 01:14:708 better with a gap imo

01:18:592 - maybe add note. having this triplet for 1/2 vocal but leaving 01:18:659 out does feel weird imo

01:21:472 01:22:542 01:23:567 01:24:058 - just my idea personally, but i think it would be nicer to finisher these notes as a signal of bpm change, and also quite loud crashes too

permalink

if u dont like finisher like (understandably),. then could try bumping smooth sv (like bumping this 01:22:542 to 1->1.05, then 01:23:567 1.05->1.1, 01:24:550 1.1->1.2)

permalink

having them as finishers sucks to play so i just made it flat sv changes instead for emphasis

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

01:25:376 - maybe a note? no reason to leave this drum unmapped imo

permalink

feels too unnoticable to map, i'd rather leave it empty since the mapping here represents the vocal pitch increase more than the drums

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

01:25:494 - maybe bump the sv smooth from 01:25:494 to 1.3x so the speed compared to 01:25:258 will be more noticeable?

permalink

i just redid the sv here, reopen if you still think its not noticable enough

permalink

01:32:227 01:32:404 - these could be removed to represent the drums better. currently there's no drums on said notes

additionally could also map 01:32:935 a kat for drum?

permalink

removed the notes, didnt add the drum for better effect of the finisher sv

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

01:34:116 - the vocal is on 1/12 tick
01:34:195 01:34:274 - you can map this to fit vocal more

permalink

01:34:057 - could maybe remove this note so this vocal chain could stand out more as snap changes

permalink

i would rather not map the 1/12, would be too hard considering the structure is mainly 1/4 (also i mapped this part to fit the background blaring sounds rather than the vocals)

i removed a few notes since the density is a little too high tho

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

01:34:589 - this note is not really emphasizing any particular sound, would suggest moving to 01:34:766 for vocal

permalink

the part is mapped for the blaring sound in the background, i'd rather leave it as is

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

01:36:183 -> 01:36:538? doing so will help transitioning to vocal note there, and this chain could fully embrace the 1/4 drums in the background too

01:40:317 - i hear 1/4 drum, add note?

permalink

yes

01:57:502 - subjective, but could maybe fill in the 1/1 rest here with a d note? same for 02:11:912 and 02:12:857

i personally prefer to not have too many 1/1 rests for the most intense part of the song

permalink

sure

permalink
Marked as resolved by chairIess

02:14:215 - maybe could remove for 02:14:274~02:14:628 vocal could stay 1/2

permalink

if applied also changing 02:14:038 to something else like ddd or dkk to avoid same color with 02:13:801 they have different vocal pattern

permalink

remapped the part, reopen if i didnt address it properly

permalink

sure

permalink

02:23:723 - the 5-plet should start from here instead of 02:23:605? there is no drum note at 02:23:664

same for the other diffs
