00:09:544 (9544|0) - could extend to 1/4 longer as a progressive pattern like 00:07:309 (7309|3,8267|1,8267|2,8267|0) -
00:16:964 - can put a LN here for plute, similar was mapped at 00:11:857 -
00:17:762 (17762|2) - also sounds like ghost note and 00:18:639 - flute skip
00:18:001 - might be a nitpick thing but personally I would suggest avoiding using 4 note chords as much as possible unless it's an end to a section like 00:18:480 -
personally I would suggest 00:18:001 - 123, 00:18:480 - 234. so that it would somewhat reflect the pitch representation.
tho like i said, if you really wanna keep the 4 note chord. 00:18:480 - would be fine to keep since it would somewhat make sense (end of this section and it reflects 00:17:522 - a lil on pattern visual). and I would really encourage changing just 00:18:001 - then
00:18:799 (18799|3,18799|2,18879|0,18879|1) - minor thing but would suggest changing this to maybe 42 31 so that it's different patterning from 00:19:437 (19437|3,19437|2,19597|1,19597|0,19916|0,19916|1) - on the toms which would be a nice touch
00:22:150 (22150|0) - very minor thing but I would suggest deleting this note for better density flow into the rolls
00:21:671 (21671|3,21990|2,22150|1,22230|3,22230|2,22309|0,22349|1,22389|2) -
also complements that 00:22:230 - snare is actually louder than 00:22:150 -
00:32:203 (32203|0) - flute died 00:32:682 - so a clearer coordination might be good enough
00:37:948 (37948|0) - same but died at 00:38:267 -
section review
00:32:841 - 00:40:501 - okay I think there's a lot of things that can be improved on this section
first of all, not sure what this 00:34:597 (34597|1) - LN is representing, since it looks like you're focusing on the flute & piano here with LNs. So it might actually be a rice note instead
I feel that an issue with this section is that, the jumps in general feel very overused here. Which personally I think is overshadowing the LN patterning here (can't really feel the impact of them)
So, my suggestion is to compromise some of the jumps.
For example, 00:23:905 (23905|3) - I would suggest deleting this note solely for the purpose of just highlighting the flute & piano on this section of pattern 00:23:746 - 00:24:544 -
It doesn't always mean that if you have a kick/snare there, you should add a note there/ it HAS to be a jump to represent it. deciding to add a note on a case by case basis would allow you to have more room to work with and sometimes make the pattern stand out better.
another example would be 00:29:012 (29012|3) - could probably be deleted too. tho another issue here is 00:29:331 (29331|2) - LN is probably misused since I don't think there's a piano here
another example is 00:25:501 (25501|0) - i would suggest deleting this. 00:25:182 (25182|1,25182|0,25341|1,25341|0,25501|1,25501|0) - like you can see the issue here
if you delete the note, it would play exactly like 00:26:139 (26139|3,26139|1) - which you did for the snare which i think is a nice touch too
one last example where 00:26:458 (26458|1) - to be deleted so 00:26:458 (26458|1,26458|0,26778|0,26778|1) - can be distinguishable from each other
and lastly (yeah I meant it when it's a lot),
pattern consistency at 00:23:746 - , 00:33:958 - etc where I think it should've been 1/4 LNs considering what you did at 00:28:852 -
00:37:788 (37788|3) - could move to col1 to avoid weird anchor
00:40:022 (40022|0) - move to col2
01:06:033 - 01:36:671 - next section review time!
ok for this section, I think the LNs are lacking a bit of oomph. Like in terms of LN difficulty. The kiai section is a lot easier than the build up 00:25:182 - lol. which felt like a missed opportunity that you probably could've went for a more release type of LN pattern like what you did for 01:06:990 (66990|0,67469|1,67788|0) - .
Like it could easily be applied to sections like 01:09:862 (69862|2,70341|0) - , 01:15:288 (75288|2,75607|1) - , 01:18:479 (78479|1,78798|2,79118|0,79437|3,79756|0) - (This section especially! It's a build up! What a waste!!!)
Or, maybe you could leave the first kiai section as it is, and apply it to 01:21:352 - the later section instead where it has a higher pitch and everything
or idk, maybe have LN chords instead for this pitched up section at every section end 01:21:352 - ,01:22:309 - ,01:23:267 - etc instead of just 1 LN
01:08:905 (68905|0) - drag 1/4 longer for length consistency with 01:07:947 (67947|3) -
01:09:862 (69862|2) - same, can drag more for playability
01:10:820 (70820|3) - can be shorter
Got it fixed like suggested. Btw, I do think 01:10:820 (70820|3) is simillar to 01:10:341 (70341|0)
LNs like these
02:18:639 (138639|3) - ,
02:21:192 (141192|0,141272|1) -
02:22:841 (142841|0,143053|0,143266|1,143479|2,143692|2) -
02:25:500 (145500|1,145660|3) -
can definitely be pushed further (increase their LN length) to make it more interesting to play imo
02:43:053 (163053|0,163532|1,164011|2) - contrary to #4749648
I think these could be shortened to be differentiated from 02:41:617 (161617|1,161936|3,162096|2,162256|0,162415|3,163053|0,163532|1,164011|2) -
or idk, make 02:41:936 (161936|3,162096|2,162256|0,162415|3) - harder instead. There's a lot of options you can do
03:03:000 (183000|3) - can move to col2 and 03:03:798 (183798|3) - to col3 to ease the anchor down
To me it is 1/6 and not jumpstream. By doing jumpstream it is quite overkill so I would keep it as is my man.
