ye, i see what you mean here, i also moved 00:05:570 (2,3,1) to make the effect even more noticeable for the player
00:10:236 (1,2) - would consider changing this to a kickslider instead since its kind of a jumpscare
02:39:594 (5,6) - here it doesnt even have clear indication it changes to 1/8th
tldr: i'll keep this, although it might be a jumpscare, the player is only 10 seconds into the map, they can just restart, expecting the same rhythm to come up again in the future. after the player knows that that arrangement of circles means a 1/8 double, i can throw 2 at once & it won't come out of nowhere. having that already established, i spaced the doubles out a bit more for the ending, subtly signifying a slower rhythm to the player, which they can assume its a 1/6 by its spacing
00:10:236 (1,2) happens at the start, it might be a jumpscare, but the player can just restart the map & know that they can expect more of those in the future, & indeed it happens again, at 01:20:364 (1,2), a very similar part of the song, another 1/8 double happens
since 00:10:236 (1,2) & 01:20:364 (1,2) teached the player, 01:53:503 (1,2,3,4) is not a jumpscare, now the player already understands that that double with that spacing means a 1/8 rhythm
for the ending, i do 1/6 doubles instead of 1/8 doubles, this would be a problem if they had the same spacing as the 1/8 doubles that came before, but they don't, they are a bit more spaced out, enough to be noticed by the player to subtly understand that they are a 1/6 instead of a 1/8
another thing is that in all playtests that i did, the only double that players consistently missed on a sightread was 00:10:236 (1,2), the first one, every other one was handled perfectly fine, & on a second play, or if they restarted after missing the first double, they consistently handled every doubled perfectly fine, so ye, i'll keep this
00:40:715 (1,2,3) - spacing on this burst kinda ridiculous would consider lowering the spacing on this burst
00:40:715 (1,2,3) is the intruductionary triple so i made it smaller, after that, 00:46:329 (1,2,3) is also smaller than before, but bigger than 00:40:715 (1,2,3), the same goes for 00:52:294 (3,4,5) & 00:57:908 (1,2,3), but the last 2 maintained their sizes
in sequence 00:40:715 (1,2,3) to 00:46:329 (1,2,3) to 00:52:294 (3,4,5) to 00:57:908 (1,2,3) have a noticeable build up in difficulty, which trains the player for the next kiai, where the triples are bigger but both have the same size, aka: 01:58:596 (1,2,3) & 02:04:210 (1,2,3)
i did noticed an inconsistency on my nc pattern here: 00:41:768 (1,2,3,4,1,2) should one one entire combo following the vocals & 00:43:522 (3) should start a new new. certainly a leftover from when i removed the video, which had me colorhaxing the map & breaking nc's at some points for better colorhaxing. i'll fix it since i don't think i'll add the video again, if i do, i'll update the changes here
01:04:925 (1) - i think the idea is fine in itself, but i think making it 1/4th instead would help with not sliderbreaks and readability
i get what you mean, but this sliders being a 1/8 allows the player to assume they are circles & get a 300 at the same time, i think its important to do them here because they're cure, i like them, & also because when they happen again in the future, like at 01:12:469 (1) & at 01:14:575 (1), the player knows they can just play them like circles & they will be fine
01:06:504 (5) - i feel like the spacing from this to 01:07:031 (1) - this is a bit too big, maybe lowering it would help a bit?

02:16:852 (5) - would continue following the kicks here? i get the guitar is louder but i think the other idea would be better and more fun to play
will keep it since i do want somewhat of an uncomfortable movement from 02:16:852 (5) to 02:17:213 (1), signifying a transition from the harsh parts of the song to a more comfy one
i disagree since this triple idea appeared first at 00:51:768 (4,1,2), meant to be slightly harsher version of the stacked doubles that happen at 00:37:908 (3,4), 00:43:522 (1,2), etc, it just gets repeated in the future with the same shape so the player will know its rhythm when they see it. i will however make then slightly ugly in the first appearence to match the song
