(all diffs)
00:01:022 (7) - 00:08:966 (63) - 00:16:910 (112) - 00:24:854 (171) - 00:32:797 (222) - 00:40:741 (279) - I do not understand the reasoning behind these finishers, as they do nothing to represent the song besides introducing a new musical layer, which shouldn't be done with a finisher.
(inner and oni)
00:12:069 (79,80,81,82,83,84,85,86) - 00:27:957 (188,189,190,191,192,193,194,195) - the finishers inside these patterns do not follow anything relevant either, it's just part of the main melody which you weren't following with finishers before.
(kantan, futsuu and muzukashii)
00:14:924 (48) - 00:15:420 (49) - 00:15:793 (51) - 00:30:811 (102) - 00:31:307 (103) - 00:31:680 (104) -
same reason as the last point
remove all these finishers as they do not represent the song properly and are inconsistent
I removed the finishers but now I don't know, I need to sit on this decision because this map without finishers feels a bit empty imo, I have to wait to see how it feels later when I don't have recency bias
current audio is not great (spectro: https://i.imgur.com/iYqdTAq.png)
here's a better quality 192kbps audio with no clipping: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1075771926032678933/1159687120152187000/1-23_Grandpa_and_the_Delightful_Tadpoles.mp3?ex=6531edcb&is=651f78cb&hm=c55b7ac05ef6a2a08aa303776c957681a88f008dc4aa85a28644c0b396767763&

new offset:
first red line: 62 (please select "omit first barline", in order to hide the barline that will appear too close to the second one.)
second red line: 1064
this also means that the barlines were wrongly placed because they were 2/1 too early.
:eh:
if you carefully look at the current audio, rather than "clipping" there's actual information in the audio that goes up to 20~21khz or so (oggs tend to go up that high). the new audio provided is not only bloated but also removes any useful information in the audio above 15 khz frequency.
HOWEVER, something d3kuu is right about is that your barlines are still 2/1 early, and that you should omit 00:00:030 and have another redline at 00:01:022.
But then 00:00:526 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - is lost if I do that... can't I just make another audio file that has a longer break at the start and adjust accordingly to fix the timing being 2/1 early AND keep the beginning?
:eh: I will just add another red bar
hello! metadata is wrong. I'll explain why and what you need to put instead:
Artist: 下村 陽子
Romanised Artist: Shimomura Yoko
the artist field should be in japanese, and because of the literal romanisation of the name, the surname goes before the name. that's why it's shimomura yoko and not yoko shimomura!
source: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/BE8AAOSwvBVlCGDU/s-l1200.jpg (the official soundtrack)
Title: おじいちゃんと愉快なオタマ達
Romanised Title: Grandpa and the Delightful Tadpoles
source: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/urYAAOSwmCFk~~Fg/s-l1600.jpg (track 23)
as you can see, there's an official non romanised title of the song, and the source is the official soundtrack which was released in 1996.
Source: スーパーマリオRPG
When the game is japanese, you should use it's original japanese title! In this case it's this one :D
"super mario" should go to tags instead. In addition, you should have "Yōko" in tags for searchability purposes, as it's how you type the artist's name (ō is not an allowed character in the romanised artist's field)
