im not exactly sure what will change if this mod is applied, i tried playing nightcore without this change and with it and i see no difference, lmk if im wrong
In addition to the speed increase and pitch change, Nightcore mod also adds a simple drum rhythm in the background.
The easiest sound to listen for if you're trying to notice this is the cymbal crash which is added every 4 measures (16/1
) starting from your first uninherited timing point. The timing for this sound is reset whenever a new uninherited timing point is reached. As an experiment, you can try spamming uninherited timing points with Ctrl+P
in the beginning of your map to hear this clearly (but don't keep this).
Here's an easy way for a mapper or modder to check these sounds:

Here's a screenshot at the first timestamp I mentioned, for reference.
thank u for mapping this song, it's very nice to see it on taiko, but i would like to discuss the way diffs are spread in the set as i believe that it could be improved.
starting with the muzu, the diff is virtually a futsuu, with the sole addition of one (multicoloured!?) triple at 00:49:868. comparing density and sr with typical muzus shows that it would be more fitting to 'beef it up' a little bit to make it a proper muzu - or remove the triple, add a 2 beat rest moment every now and then, and rename it to a futsuu.
i struggle to see how hexe's inner oni could be an inner oni and not an oni, as it does not present any gameplay that would be too challenging for an oni difficulty, which is also reflected in the diff's low star rating. i suggest this diff could be renamed to an oni with no change to the mapping, and the current oni could be renamed to 'lite oni' or remapped to be a muzu to fit a more traditional spread perhaps.
it's a fun mapset, and i hope you're able to push it for ranked if that's your goal. best of luck :p
hey, thank you for you mod, i really felt that muzu was too easy so i boosted it, to *2.52 instead of *2.21.
i dont think that oni needs to be renamed to lite oni, i buffed it too a bit but its still have low sr for some reason, and i renamed hexe's inner oni to hexe's escape
i'll just post it here i guess
00:18:320 (47,48) - and 00:24:513 (70,71)
in muzukashii all 4 are finishers but in oni 48 and 70 + 71 are not and i ignored finisher for consistency in kantan as it is a GD but within your own set of difficulties this looks like an inconsistency considering nothing before or after happens that justfies finishers missing
