think mapping the piano on 00:07:079 was a good idea, but also hear piano notes on 00:07:398 and 00:07:526, so I'd map it like
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/16928610/dda8
and add SV:
7074,-108.695652173913,4,1,0,80,0,0
7138,-107.52688172043,4,1,0,80,0,0
7201,-105.932203389831,4,1,0,80,0,0
7265,-105.263157894737,4,1,0,80,0,0
7329,-104.166666666667,4,1,0,80,0,0
7393,-103.092783505155,4,1,0,80,0,0
7457,-102.040816326531,4,1,0,80,0,0
7521,-101.010101010101,4,1,0,80,0,0
00:25:206 (166,167,168,169,170,171,172,173) | 01:19:589 (492,493,494,495,496,497,498) | 02:16:526 (954,955,956,957,958,959,960,961,962) - these three sections are inconsistent, you're following the vocal on all of them but the current patterning being different on all of them feel super weird since they're very similar (with the last one being higher pitched)
even them out yo, you could go with this: https://i.imgur.com/bWdUUNd.png with the last being differently colored but with similar rhythm
00:28:015 - should sound better like this https://i.imgur.com/EpPHmv2.png
but it's up to your preference (cursor is on 00:28:015 -)
i have to agree with yongin here, i get your intention for the current pattern but the finishers doesnt seem to be quite fitting here since it hardly emphasize well with the guitars.
I would more likely prefer apply yongin's suggestion. In addition, move this note at 00:34:781 (53) - to 00:34:653 (53) - and filling the holes at 00:33:632 - to 00:34:015 - could keep in touch with the of the current section
guys stop being sus
anyway, applied yongin's suggestion, with regards to the follow-up suggestion i added a note at 00:33:632 (50) - and 00:33:887 (52) -, didnt add at 00:34:015 - because it felt really uncomfortable to play being right behind the sped up finisher
00:36:249 (236,237,239) - feels like these should be deleted and 00:36:185 (235,238) - make finishers so it's congruent with what happened before at 00:34:143 - . they are basically the same phrase, it doesn't make much sense to have one emphasis the cymbals and one emphasize the guitar lick when they both have guitar licks and cymbals.
00:57:377 (145,146,147,148,149,150,151) - the same snapping as on Oni, but different colors, either apply the pattern from Oni to Inner, or from Inner to Oni.
01:09:887 (418) - this could be a D since it's different from the snare drums on 01:09:632 (416,417) and would also be nice to finish this chain with contrast imo
01:28:708 - What you are following to make a 9plet here, quite hard and even harder than the kiais
Should be changed to sth like this:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/709366576448798750/897846545133752360/unknown.png
01:28:708 - d ddkdkkd -> ddd kdkkd
01:30:112 - nerfed to 7plet instead and changed a bit to fit music better kkddkdddk -> k ddkdkkd.
the music is pretty intense here, so i think this improvisation fits
for reference, this is mapped differently from 01:35:219 -> 01:38:793 even though they are basically the same part because that part leads to a lower pitch, decreasing intensity section
A quick example for you:
93176,-101.557382460024,4,1,0,90,0,0
93240,-102.354459634984,4,1,0,90,0,0
93304,-103.164147570123,4,1,0,90,0,0
93368,-103.986747928844,4,1,0,90,0,0
93431,-104.822462195779,4,1,0,90,0,0
93559,-106.535074542592,4,1,0,90,0,0
93687,-95.2380952380952,4,1,0,90,0,0
93942,-101.010101010101,4,1,0,90,0,0
94197,-107.52688172043,4,1,0,90,0,0
94453,-114.942528735632,4,1,0,90,0,0
94708,-123.456790123457,4,1,0,90,0,0
i don't really agree with the slowing down then speeding up again part of the suggested sv, this 0.98x sv is actually purely for aesthetic reasons because the note 1/2 before if it goes from 1x -> 0.96x directly looks kinda bad as it kinda overlaps with the finishers when it appears. same for 02:35:602 (41,42,43) -
01:39:504 (652) - thoughts on having a finisher here? strong cymbal crash backing the guitar up
i agree with a finisher here but i might need to change this part a bit since if that's a finisher i think 01:40:526 (663) - deserves a finisher too for the stronger sound there?
the switch from 1/3 to 1/4 feels super messy here though, the guitar maintains itself on 1/3 until 01:47:419 and then it swaps to 1/4. try something like this instead: https://i.imgur.com/n6WSyro.png
it matches the 1/3 guitar lick more accurately, accounts for the swap to 1/4 on 01:47:419 and makes the transition to the other 1/4 patterns more smoothly
01:47:675 - can make a portion of this pattern a 1/3 as well. the 1/4 kind of works just due to the speed at which it flies by, but for players trying to follow the guitar I feel that adding the 1/3 may represent the sound just a bit more accurately from a pure timing standpoint.
i disagree with this change
01:48:951 (721,722) - ignoring this 1/3 guitar here sounds super weird given that you did map it thoroughly in this section, and if #2551190/7154993 is applied I also recommend you to map it for consistency purposes
also didnt change the guitar solo 1/3 02:44:921 (121,122,123,124,125,126,127,128,129,130) - because the guitar is way stronger there and the notes dont sound as finisher worthy, also unfinishered 02:44:665 (120) -
01:52:708 - 01:54:112
Really suggest you to remove the 1/4 to present the calm feeling of this part
So should be like this:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/709366576448798750/899695733224140811/unknown.png
01:58:206 (779,780,781,782,783,784,785,786) - these notes aren't necessary to be mapped. It feels too overmapped and should just be deleted, and so the pattern can end here 01:58:143 to look better
02:08:164 (885) - could move this note over to 02:07:909 to have better vocal improvisation, as 02:08:100 is basically 3 loose non-held vocals in which the first is backed by a single piano note and the third is backed by a kick, I think it'd be a more interesting improv than 2 triples aswell
02:11:793 (890,891) - kinda think removing these two notes would be nice since the swap into the drum would be quite smooth and the intensity drop feels quite nice coming off this chorus
02:29:036 ~ 02:33:121 - this part is a tad strange imo due to the piano, which is the main layer on this section. since the coloring feels quite off with the notes, here's something you can try: https://i.imgur.com/fvmNRzD.png
it also addresses the sudden 1/8 double being somewhat awkward by keeping it as a mono, it comes out of nowhere and no 1/8 doubles are used on the rest of the map, so it's REALLY easy to be thrown off by it, especially since it isn't a mono. adjusting it like this will make things more flowy and reduce a possible miss
hmm most of that makes sense
i think 02:29:802 (6,7) - sounds like k d instead, and that 02:30:568 (9) - & 02:30:823 (10,11) - should have the same colour, so i changed that
i'm really not too sure about the 1/6 (yea 1/6 not 1/8 lol) doublet, but i just changed it anyway to dd since i guess theyre both roughly the same pitch
02:39:887 (67) - can be moved here 02:39:632 and changed to ddk to keep the consistency of this pattern potition 02:38:483 (60,61,62) - (4th tick)
02:49:206 - all of these cymbals (02:49:972 (145,146) - , 02:50:994 (153,154) - etc.) definitely should be emphasized with a finisher, so consider adding one to all of them. you already are using finishers in the middle of 1/2 patterns by this point, so it's not going to be too difficult.
02:52:580 (185) - change this to a D because why not tbh lmao
you use K D on all 1/3 and following notes, so why not also have this one as a D aswell
#2551203
what nifty said basically
