00:02:994 (8,9,10) - make this k d d instead of d k d for consistency on the sounds + it sounds a lot better anyway

permalink

applied :3

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

if you've made the previous 3 notes k d d change 00:04:015 (11,12,13) - to k d k instead of d k k

permalink

applied along w/ previous

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

add k on 00:06:058 and change 00:05:802 (16) to d

permalink

ok was originally only following vocals but this sounds good since the syllable is dragged out too

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

00:07:079 - you can do something like a kdddk d d here or something because now you're kinda missing the piano especially on an inner you can just do that

permalink

agree, felt kinda weird leaving this out too

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

think mapping the piano on 00:07:079 was a good idea, but also hear piano notes on 00:07:398 and 00:07:526, so I'd map it like
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/16928610/dda8

and add SV:

ok, also added note 00:14:483 - to basically combine them into one big section
and 02:04:909 - too around the same section in last kiai

permalink

the kiai times look quite strange to me, usually we start/end a kiai on the first beat unless the music supports otherwise.
in this case, i recommend ending kiais at 00:19:845 - 01:13:972 - 02:11:164 -

permalink

(all diffs)

permalink

00:28:015 ~ 00:31:079 , 01:22:143 ~ 01:25:206 ,
02:19:334 ~ 02:26:483 - i'd also suggest turning on kiai on these 3 parts as well, they seem to have the same intensity as current kiais

permalink

kiai times changed and new kiais applied to all diffs

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

00:21:377 - kkd for high pitched vocal feels a bit strange for me
plus you don't have triplet on 00:25:462 -
you may consider 00:21:377 - k ddk

permalink

(new offset timestamps) changed 00:21:670 - 01:15:797 -, 02:12:989 - kkkkk (final kiai, so more intense + vocal is more high pitched than the previous 2 timestamps)
changed on oni as well, final kiai one being k kkk

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

00:24:440 ~ 00:28:015 - this part seems oddly empty here, all diffs are pretty much the same and theres much more to map to. could buff oni and inner a bit (maybe muzu too if you'd like)

permalink
permalink

tried to buffed oni and inner in all 3 sections, didnt change muzu

even them out yo, you could go with this: https://i.imgur.com/bWdUUNd.png with the last being differently colored but with similar rhythm

permalink

this was not intended oops yeah i made them all the same now with colour changes on the last one

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

applied to oni (slightly simpler rhythm with fewer 1/2s), where last kiai has an additional 1/2 for the increased intensity

permalink

00:28:015 - should sound better like this https://i.imgur.com/EpPHmv2.png
but it's up to your preference (cursor is on 00:28:015 -)

also here 01:21:887 -

permalink

applied to all diffs as well as all instances of this section in the music, and removed the svs on the k dk d as it didnt suit the finishered notes

permalink

didnt mention but i changed kdkkdkddk -> kdkkd d K so no 1/4 finisher

permalink

good catch, didnt hear that sound

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

00:34:270 - this section sounds completely off to me. (You first mapped drum with the kat finisher but instantly swap to bass on the next don)

Suggeest moving the (00:34:270) kat finisher to 00:34:143. Adding a kat finisher in 00:34:398 and remove the don in 00:34:526

permalink

i think both work, i prefer how it is mapped currently (to the guitar) but might seek more opinions first

permalink

i have to agree with yongin here, i get your intention for the current pattern but the finishers doesnt seem to be quite fitting here since it hardly emphasize well with the guitars.

I would more likely prefer apply yongin's suggestion. In addition, move this note at 00:34:781 (53) - to 00:34:653 (53) - and filling the holes at 00:33:632 - to 00:34:015 - could keep in touch with the of the current section

permalink

yongin big boy modder

permalink

irone sussy modder right there

permalink

Irone why you are so sus

permalink

guys stop being sus
anyway, applied yongin's suggestion, with regards to the follow-up suggestion i added a note at 00:33:632 (50) - and 00:33:887 (52) -, didnt add at 00:34:015 - because it felt really uncomfortable to play being right behind the sped up finisher

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

forgot to SV notes: 00:35:292 , 00:35:930 ?

permalink

that was because there weren't enough notes to go from 0.9x to 0.8x sv, but i changed it to 0.92x sv at the start so i can apply sv on every note

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

there were too many notes* so placing sv would've been redundant on those

permalink

00:36:249 (236,237,239) - feels like these should be deleted and 00:36:185 (235,238) - make finishers so it's congruent with what happened before at 00:34:143 - . they are basically the same phrase, it doesn't make much sense to have one emphasis the cymbals and one emphasize the guitar lick when they both have guitar licks and cymbals.

permalink

ok makes sense

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

00:37:206 - Pretty strong cymbal like 00:36:185 - , you may consider finish it
Could be K if you want to contrast with 00:36:440 -

permalink

00:53:164 - maybe you could throw down a d in here for the guitar, following the vocal is alright but since you're transitioning into a more dense section, bridging with this first guitar note is pretty nice imo

permalink

yea i like the bridging idea

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

00:53:547 ~ 00:57:632 - higher diffs should have more than just the vocals, could try mapping more of the drums or give it some improvisation so the density of the diffs can be consistent

permalink

filled section a bit and added some 1/2s

permalink

01:28:708 - d ddkdkkd -> ddd kdkkd
01:30:112 - nerfed to 7plet instead and changed a bit to fit music better kkddkdddk -> k ddkdkkd.
the music is pretty intense here, so i think this improvisation fits

for reference, this is mapped differently from 01:35:219 -> 01:38:793 even though they are basically the same part because that part leads to a lower pitch, decreasing intensity section

94708,-123.456790123457,4,1,0,90,0,0

permalink

i don't really agree with the slowing down then speeding up again part of the suggested sv, this 0.98x sv is actually purely for aesthetic reasons because the note 1/2 before if it goes from 1x -> 0.96x directly looks kinda bad as it kinda overlaps with the finishers when it appears. same for 02:35:602 (41,42,43) -

permalink

01:39:504 (652) - thoughts on having a finisher here? strong cymbal crash backing the guitar up

permalink

i agree with a finisher here but i might need to change this part a bit since if that's a finisher i think 01:40:526 (663) - deserves a finisher too for the stronger sound there?

permalink

that's just a strong guitar sound, I don't think you need a finisher there since the note I pointed out is backed by a cymbal crash and not only by the guitar

permalink

alright i'll just apply the one finisher then

permalink

01:46:653 - i think kkddk d ddk fits better here especially the kkddk instead of the repeat kkd or whatever u had i forgor

permalink

changed, for better playability too ig

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

01:46:653 - this guitar lick is pretty clearly 1/3, so consider making some of these patterns snapped to 1/3 instead. doesnt need to be the whole thing because sometimes the guitar is 1/4 (because it's not perfect), but it's very much meant to be a 1/3 lick.

permalink

remapped the front to kddkddk 1/3 but kept the 1/4 later

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

the switch from 1/3 to 1/4 feels super messy here though, the guitar maintains itself on 1/3 until 01:47:419 and then it swaps to 1/4. try something like this instead: https://i.imgur.com/n6WSyro.png

it matches the 1/3 guitar lick more accurately, accounts for the swap to 1/4 on 01:47:419 and makes the transition to the other 1/4 patterns more smoothly

permalink
Reopened by Ideal

applied, i like this, it's pretty much what i was trying to go for

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

01:47:675 - can make a portion of this pattern a 1/3 as well. the 1/4 kind of works just due to the speed at which it flies by, but for players trying to follow the guitar I feel that adding the 1/3 may represent the sound just a bit more accurately from a pure timing standpoint.

maybe:
01:47:760 -> d
01:47:845 -> d

permalink

i disagree with this change

  1. it decreases the playability of this part since this change would cause 1/3 in 1/4 which to me is just an unnecessary diffspike here
  2. the sound, while meant to be 1/3, very clearly does not land on the 1/3 tick on 01:47:845, at which there is no sound at all. while in the 1/3 at the start, the guitar does at least make a sound that fits the 1/3
technically i couldve mapped this entire part as a 1/3 stream but i tried to make it a bit more friendly with small breaks, to go for a balance between playability and following music
permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

01:48:951 (721,722) - ignoring this 1/3 guitar here sounds super weird given that you did map it thoroughly in this section, and if #2551190/7154993 is applied I also recommend you to map it for consistency purposes

ending it at 01:58:143 is too brief i think and this part is pretty intense so i think it'd be ok to map that part to follow guitar. might see what other people think first, but for now not changing

whereas you could have a kkd on 02:10:270 for the vocal for improv purposes and it also feels and flows super nice imo

Maybe Ideal was talking about 02:11:793 02:11:857?
It's really weird to have a 4plet here, and 02:11:985 should prob not be ignored.

ok maybe

permalink

it's inconsistent with the section at 01:14:282 - as well so I don't actually know why

permalink

makes more sense, changed

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

its the final chorus so i kinda wanted to have higher density (?) if it feels weird/incosistent then i can remove it

permalink

wdym 4plet is higher density
other sections don't have 4plets as well so why it should be here

permalink

no not the 4 plet i meant the ddk triplet after ur suggestion cuz the other 2 dont have a triplet after the last finisher lol

permalink

anyways you should probably changed it so the issue is solved.

permalink

changed to similar to other choruses instead so just left the middle note instead of a 5 plet

permalink

02:13:006 - Imo k dkk would be better when 01:15:814 - is k ddk
kkkkk is too much in my eyes and kinda break the flow

permalink

Oni as well

permalink

ok fixed

02:23:419 - finisher maybe, would understand if u dont want it right after the stream

permalink

applied, changed 9 note to kkddk k d so finisher not after stream

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

02:26:483 and 02:26:866 should be finisher again

02:29:036 ~ 02:33:121 - this part is a tad strange imo due to the piano, which is the main layer on this section. since the coloring feels quite off with the notes, here's something you can try: https://i.imgur.com/fvmNRzD.png

it also addresses the sudden 1/8 double being somewhat awkward by keeping it as a mono, it comes out of nowhere and no 1/8 doubles are used on the rest of the map, so it's REALLY easy to be thrown off by it, especially since it isn't a mono. adjusting it like this will make things more flowy and reduce a possible miss

permalink

hmm most of that makes sense
i think 02:29:802 (6,7) - sounds like k d instead, and that 02:30:568 (9) - & 02:30:823 (10,11) - should have the same colour, so i changed that
i'm really not too sure about the 1/6 (yea 1/6 not 1/8 lol) doublet, but i just changed it anyway to dd since i guess theyre both roughly the same pitch

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

applied similar color changes to all diffs

permalink

02:29:547 - finisher

permalink

yea

permalink

02:33:185 - delete this note

permalink

ok

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

02:34:653 - theres nothing supporting a 1/6 4plet here, replace with 1/4 or sth else

permalink

changed to 1/4 kkd

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

no for this, first because i dislike having offhand patterns in the map, secondly because to me the piano decreases from higher pitch to lower pitch so i dont really see why it should end with a k either

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

02:37:006 - Don't you think this is too excessive if compared with other smooth SVs?
And it looks like the pattern is not snapped on 1/4
If I was you I would make 02:37:006 1.1 or 0.9
both work.

permalink

i have two (2) cool svs on this map and both are deemed too excessive crying
i changed to 0.9x but it doesnt look as cool now :(

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

02:37:589 missing k

permalink

yea, changed in muzu-inner

02:39:249 ~ 02:41:802 - follow more of the drums like 02:37:717 pls

permalink

added more notes

permalink

02:39:887 (67) - can be moved here 02:39:632 and changed to ddk to keep the consistency of this pattern potition 02:38:483 (60,61,62) - (4th tick)

permalink

makes a lot of sense, applied

permalink

02:46:909 - finisher for consistency

permalink

ok

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

02:49:206 - all of these cymbals (02:49:972 (145,146) - , 02:50:994 (153,154) - etc.) definitely should be emphasized with a finisher, so consider adding one to all of them. you already are using finishers in the middle of 1/2 patterns by this point, so it's not going to be too difficult.

permalink

yeah didnt want 1/3 finishers but whatever, makes more sense and consistent with other diffs this way

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

02:49:206 (138) - I also recommend making this note a D, since it is the lowest part of the pattern, and the others going kd kd and then kk imply a rising pattern, and starting with a D D would make sense.

permalink

applied

02:49:772 - 02:52:580
What some cool SVs.
But I think they would be too excessive compare to other SV changes
Consider nerfing the gaps between the SVs.

permalink

0.75x -> 1.05x (0.05x increase per note) to
0.8x -> 1.04x (0.04x increase per note)
anything lower is too underwhelming imo

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

i mean i can still reduce to 0.03 gaps if still too excessive

permalink

still too excessive on my side

permalink
Reopened by BlackBN

0.03x gap now
literally dont want to go any lower

permalink

02:52:398 - you've been following drums and guitar in this section, so this note looks a bit odd. i suggest removing this, make 02:52:270 a blue note, and extend the spinner for guitar

permalink

(oh remember to apply to all diff if you agree)

permalink

changed for inner oni, will apply to other diffs later on

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

just checked other diffs, kantan follows guitar only and futsuu/muzu were made to follow piano so only changed for oni

permalink

make SV on 02:52:398 1.25x and 02:52:781 1.3x because I could barely see the faster spinner when playing the map and It's a cool effect

permalink

looks nice, applied

permalink
Marked as resolved by arcpotato

also applied on muzu + oni

permalink

02:52:580 (185) - change this to a D because why not tbh lmao

you use K D on all 1/3 and following notes, so why not also have this one as a D aswell
