False Noise
Based out of Toronto, Canada, False Noise is an electronic composer and producer with a penchant for the extraordinary. Twisting classical drum and bass influences into modern EDM with a whirling maelstrom of musical fragments from a variety of styles, his work has been compared to artists such as Tim Hecker, Oneohtrix Point Never and Jon Hopkins. Incorporating elements of lofty, ambient soundscapes with a compositional grit all his own, False Noise's sound is best described as an eclectic narrative without words, inspired by chapters upon chapters of electronic music subculture to produce something special.
True to his underground roots, False Noise first emerged in the osu! community during 2017 via Shiirn's collaborative beatmap for Skyshards, and has since garnered a cult following among more technically inclined mappers with sets for both Serpentine and Kek by Mir taking the spotlight in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Those with a desire to explore longer-form takes on conceptual pieces will find an abundance of rhythmic and melodic variance in False Noise's tracks just waiting to be charted.
