Anyway, I don't think Mara is part of a cult, it seems more likely to me that he is something else entirely. But whatever his role, it's clear that he is very dangerous to keep around so I suggest lynching him today. Vote LunaticMara.

Mara's role revolves around Skyrim. Why would you think the entire game?

There could be a cult, but so far I don't see any signs of there being one. There could be a mason group or something similar. Who else here besides Two would qualify for a role like that? (Unless he dies on Day 1 automatically lol)

Which means he can just as easily kill town. We don't even know if Salvage was mafia, he turned up "Mafia?" which LS would NOT have implemented if Salvage was indeed mafia imo.

I think mara is hilarious in this thing.
I would be highly dissappointed if he gets lynched and we have no one making skyrim jokes in all caps anymore.

IMO, it's more likely there's a Skyrim cult or something and LunaticMara is out to kill them all (which fits with "Mafia?" being the name of the cult when revealed). Either way, LunaticMara is confusing the hell out of me, so I don't know what to think >.<

Swiftwolf always ends up looking like mafia but he has good intentions, so I think he's town. I'm inclined to say that Lilac is town due to meta. As I said before, I still think bmin11 is a godfather or something, but this is just a gut feeling.

adam already said animask was mafia, and given that it was one line in a whole wall of text, I'd think that LS told him to post that and it's true.

@Two: It could be, but I'm not even sure what adam's role is supposed to be. In other words I don't know if that was an investigation (either mafia or miller) or if that was a piece of information LS gave out, in which case I'd expect animask to be mafia and not miller.

There's no reason why it couldn't exist, pretty much any combination of regular roles (as well as made-up ones) should be up for grabs I think.

Though given the rest of his flavour text, I'm thinking he doesn't mean "priest" in the traditional sense.

I'm still far from understanding Mara's role, but he certainly did helped us and he has his limits on using his ability, which I doubt an anti-town would get as an restriction.

I could not catch up with Two & Lilac case yet. I must have misread some posts. I'll get to my reading.

I can tell you that LS isn't happy with my flavor and my ability very much. I can't provide any solid logic for it, since the flavor and the story I received from LS does not make much indications toward me.


EDIT: in other word, I would have given myself an anti-town role if I was the mod, LS just chose not to for some reason. Maybe balance issue I guess.

I don't see why you would think I'd be anti-town?

-I've never been incorrectly lynched as town. Hell, I hardly ever even get serious votes against me. People generally don't see me as scummy.

-Here are all of the recent games where I've been mafia:
1) Paska (pretty much my only really good mafia game)
2) TF2 (won, but it was dead easy with the general lack in participation as well a pyro (cop) safeclaim)
3) Less Experimental (pretty much an utter failure)

Besides Paska I really don't see any reason for LS to give me an anti-town role.

Anyway, I don't think LS would give Mara an independent role that draws so much attention to himself, as that would make it really hard for him to win. Though I guess WIFOMWIFOMWIFOM etc.

Ive been trying to figure out maras role and I think I might have it now.

Role name is probably Lunatic or something
Day vig, maybe priest, with one of the most ridiculous post restrictions ever.
Loses memory after day kill, picks it back up when someone votes him?
This guy is either going to make or break us, in my eyes.
He killed either a cult member or mafia, but we dont know yet if thats all he can get.
I say keep him around one more day just to see what happens. If he kills a townie then we lynch. But theres a whole possibility that im entirely wrong and mara had one day kill and is making everything else up.

So far this game has seriously been one of the most weird, surreal, and awesome things ever btw.
Top tier mafia game.

that is exactly why I think you and bmin are potentially mafia

our roles are based on how we play not what we've been

for example, the reason why I'm not anti-town is because I generate discussion (there is no way for making people talk and exposing alignments to be a good trait for someone who isn't town)

with you and bmin, playing in a way as to not be suspected is exactly why you are prime candidates for mafia

animask is always lurky, often doesn't make sense, and is just obstructive in general which is why him being a miller makes sense

I actually believe what bmin said about his role, but I still believe lynching you is a good idea at this point 0_o

Flavors are based on LS's view on people, correct? Than if LS thinks the person's behavior seems like townie, then the person's alignment is likely to be town. The motive behind person's play style shouldn't influence how LS thinks about the person, unless the person has a history of back stabbing townie a lot, which is not the case for 0_o. Of course the last bit is just my opinion on 0_o's history.





P.S. I was lynched as a (bullet-proof) townie on Two-for-One mafia

Yes, if someone's playstyle gives off the appearance of town then they have potential to be a successful mafia. But it's not about what players have qualities that make a good mafia, it's about how LS generally views the players in games. And the fact that I am often viewed as town, and only have an average mafia success rate, I think makes it pretty clear that I'm town.

The difference between me and bmin is that, while he also generally has a town "aura", he has a reputation of being a tricky mafia.

If his power worked like that we would have like 2 or 3 "jack of all trades" players running around, which seems rather unrealistic. Also nothing happened with that blessing so either we wait til LS sees it or it does absolutely nothing but make Mara laugh at us.

Now I'm kinda questioning if Mara killed Salvage or the death scene was complete flavour and current posting related...

...Regardless, I think 0_o, bmin and Mashley are Mafia because 0_o is good at it, bmin makes a great Godfather and since Mashley isn't independent, there's no way in hell he's town with that little posting.

i dont really understand the 0_o part because from what I've seen hes been town a lot and plays pretty pro-town. I also don't think bmin would be a godfather, but he has been SK like a bajillion times so I can see him as anti-town or possible mafia.

I can kind of agree with your reasoning on Mashley. kinda.

Just ignore the underwear part, and Mara said the one with the Amulet of Light has a strong evil aura. So, we just have to search for anti-towns and we would get one if we are lucky.
