1) Put it simply: We need more of them.

Raise prices or drop them, but I want a couple more choices than just half a year or a year. In the face of a bad economy, we need them.

2) Pink osu! pants. Yes. And maybe a Pippi plushie to go along with that, but...

3) Ramen Economics play into the osu! factor quite a bit. I'll explain that later.

The economy is not even that bad anymore. Even if it was it is not so bad that you cannot scrounge up an extra 25 dollars. 25 dollars is a piffling amount for a yearly subscription to a game, considering some online games' monthly subscription rates. Stop whining and get a job/some source of money.

If anything, I'd want to increase it. It's already crazily low for the amount of support, bandwidth and quality of game you are getting here...

You could consider offering a 5-dollar one-month subscription. It's a much worse value for the buyer, but many might still go for it because 5 is such a low number.

I'd be able to live with $5/mo., like I said, I just want more choices since money management seems to be my "thang". Whether you raise fees from there is up to you, as I was open to both as said above.

Tode: I'll get a job once people start to overlook the fact that I am 15 and no one here right now wants to hire a 15y/o shitboy.

do you not get an allowance? do no relatives send you money for christmas? there is usually SOME way to get money. Worst scenario if you really want it you'll save your money.

A couple things.

Just because the news says the economy isn't bad anymore, that doesn't mean the economy isn't bad anymore.

osu! subscriptions are dirt cheap and osu!direct alone is more than worth it.

Not everyone is a spoiled brat who gets money from relatives.

Grow out of your delusions, people.

This is a very good idea because it lets people "try" a subscription without making a "big" commitment. I'm in favour of that.
peppy
I'm more than happy to add a one month option. Perhaps $4 would be a better price though?

Hey, that's not my call~
peppy
Not your call, but I am looking for feedback here :P.

Four dollars sounds excellent.

Have you considered a recurring monthly subscription aswell?

$4/mo. is perfectly reasonable.

Couldn't such a small fee be abused to simply download a ton of maps through osu! direct in a short amount of time?

Yes.

Do subscribers receive notifications if their subscription is about to run out? If not, they should, especially if the month-long deal is going to happen.

I love how you both agree with me and insult me at the same time
peppy
Abuse isn't a huge issue. Even if they were to download every map (no, I am not condoning this) the subscription cost should cover their bandwidth. Of course it won't help cover the costs of the 9x% non-subscribers' usage, but at least it isn't a loss.

An email is sent out on expiry.

If someone's going to be downloading a ton of maps, they might as well just get some map packs.

It's less about the maps. If people had the patience, they could just invest a few hours into downloading every ranked map here, it will just not be replaced for bandwidth terms.
Though having easier access to maps would do a man good, but yet I desist.
peppy
I have added a 1 month subscription option and some general enhancements to the subscription process.

And with that, this piece of legislation has passed. I sorta feel good. Thanks to all for the forum and peppy for the obvious.

Personally, I wouldn't mind because I know bandwidth costs are NOT cheap.

EDIT: Good thing I saw this thread, my subscription was about to run out.
