[map]

- 00:04:478 (1) - add whistle, like you added on 00:07:175 (1,1) -
- 00:40:209 (1,2,1,2) - kinda don't agree with nc usage here, it doesn't reflects music and looks uhh as a patterning tho. i'd just use two examples. first is to removing nc from 00:40:714 (1) - and let it without any nc or also removing 00:40:714 (1) - then use nc on both 00:40:883 (2) - and 00:40:546 (2) - so it would have more sense as a structure for stream.
- 01:56:725 (1,2) - 03:35:152 (1,2) - 05:52:681 (1,2) - why no hitsounds on slider end and circle, there are claps sounds here, should be used tho ):
- 05:01:613 - you're skipping such powerful beat
- 06:07:512 (1) - missing clap on head
- and 06:40:546 (3) - i'd add something, not just only a whistle

stop making good maps that can't mod properly lol
lemme know where you have a second map, i'll mod it

not used to modding maps from very experienced mappers so be gentle with me ok

00:44:928 (1,2,3,4) - i think u should move this closer to the next stream, the stream jump feels a bit too big rn especially since this is where u introduce the concept of stream jumps in your diff it should be a little easier to play. the angle of the next stream is also pretty uncomfortable to follow and a smaller spacing between them should reduce the impact of that angle and make it more intuitive to play while still keeping the purpose of introducing stream jumps, especially since the stream jumps that follow later in the map use a more comfortable angle it doesn't make sense to make the introducing stream jump harder than the ones after
00:55:377 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - maybe the spacing could increase progressively? the sounds are getting stronger and stronger and having equal spacing for each pair doesn't really represent that super well
01:06:838 (3) - ctrl+G? it helps differentiate 01:06:669 (2,3) from 01:05:490 (1,2) since they sound different and also introduces the thing u do in the next part with the note on the slider tail (like 01:08:523 (2,3) 01:09:366 (2,3) )
01:20:068 (5,1) 01:30:855 (4,1) 01:41:641 (3,1) - is there a reason why u stacked these doubles but the rest of them u only overlapped? you also did this in the other choruses so you probably have a reason but i can't pinpoint it myself so im curious lol
02:24:029 (1,2,3,4) - shouldn't these have bigger spacing than 02:23:692 (1,2,3,4) ? to me it sounds like the sound is getting stronger but the spacing is getting smaller
02:46:107 (2) - to me it sounds kinda off to have the strong clap on the slider tail, especially here where there are no vocals so you have to follow percussion. later on in the part it is justifyiable since theres vocals that start on red ticks but here i think it should be clickable. this is also the case in 02:52:849 (1). on 02:51:501 (2) and 02:54:197 (2) both strong vocal and percussion land on the slider tail. i see the effect you're trying to create with doubling the SV on these sliders with claps on their tail but to me it still sounds off and i think itd be more representative of the song to use active rhythmn for the claps
03:19:815 (2,3,1) - the flow here feels uncomfortable and I don't really see a reason for that since usually you use more comfortable flow to represent the same sounds at the start of the chorus (eg.01:19:815 (4,5,1) 05:37:343 (2,3,1) and the rest). ctrl+g on 03:19:815 (2) then on 03:20:152 (1) and then moving 3 to its new head would flow better imo or simply coming up with a different pattern works too
04:27:737 (1) - i think these smaller sliders are burai, you can't tell which direction they're gonna go in while the head is still there/before clicking. even tho they're hold sliders im pretty sure it's still unrankable. its ambiguous which direction they're gonna go in since rn the slider head blocks vision of the slider path that makes it obvious it'll go left (hopefully that makes sense lol). u used a slightly different shape for this one 04:33:804 (1) and it seems a lot less ambiguous than the previous ones since the head is more towards one point of the star rather than centered so copy pasting 04:33:804 (1) for all the previous stars would fix it. its only these three 04:27:737 (1,1,1) that are the problem
05:01:613 - feel like there should be a note here, theres a strong sound in the song tho since you are emphasizing sounds different than the one u skipped having a 1/4 slider on 05:01:529 (3) and ending it on 05:01:613 keeps that same emphasis but doesn't skip over that sound. i think that works pretty well
05:01:782 (1,2) - u mapped these with 2 1/4 slider but these 05:02:793 (1,2,3,4) are all circles even tho theyre the same sound. itd be better if it was consistent imo, i dont see the need for variety here
05:03:804 (1) - i dont think this NC is necessary since there isn't any change in the music
05:53:018 (1) - extending this slider skips over a sound on the red tick that u followed with 05:52:681 (1) so it feels kinda inconsistent. tho you did do this in every other chorus so u probably have a reason but again I wanna hear what it is lol
06:41:388 (2) - the sounds ure following stop on the blue tick so i don't see the purpose of the repeat since there isn't any sound worth mapping on the downbeat. you stopped following the instrument that is on the downbeat(06:41:557 ) at 06:36:164 (1) - and it feels off to switch back to it for the last note of the song

phew that took a while
here imma shoot a star for your star map :O (hehe xd puns)
good luck
hope i helped at least a little :)

  1. 01:24:703 (1,2) - why not trying to do same as u did on 01:19:310 (1,2,3) -, avoinding to skip the red tick, it'll sound cool imo. or maybe extending 01:19:310 (1) - should be more consistent
  2. 01:40:883 (1) - same as above
  3. 02:24:029 (1,2,3,4,1) - actually that rhythm feels a bit ou of place imo, it feels a bit mixed between whistles rhythm and vocals. you should at least try to make 02:24:029 (1,2,3,4) - different. to show the difference with 02:23:692 (1,2,3,4) - (hope you understand my english is so bad)
  4. 02:48:804 (2) - NC maybe?
  5. 03:07:175 (4,5,1) - spacing inconsistency with 01:28:748 (4,5,1) -
  6. 05:24:703 (4,5,1) - same here
  7. 04:16:276 (2) - whistle on sliderbody is intended?
  8. 06:38:776 (8,1) - why not increasing the spacing to show the intensity of the sound above? as u did on 05:03:046 (4,1) - 05:04:394 (8,1) - that was cool
  9. wow too huge to point out thing on this diff

I think mine represents the piano better and also looks nicer

- 05:01:613 - you're skipping such powerful beat yea but the blue tick rhythm stands out more
- 06:07:512 (1) - missing clap on head fixed
- and 06:40:546 (3) - i'd add something, not just only a whistle yes

00:55:377 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - maybe the spacing could increase progressively? the sounds are getting stronger and stronger and having equal spacing for each pair doesn't really represent that super well the part is really calm, the contrast in rhythm alone is enough and, minor increases would not be noticeable when playing and ruin visuals, big increases would feel really overdone
01:06:838 (3) - ctrl+G? it helps differentiate 01:06:669 (2,3) from 01:05:490 (1,2) since they sound different and also introduces the thing u do in the next part with the note on the slider tail (like 01:08:523 (2,3) 01:09:366 (2,3) )no, i'd rather keep consistent flow for vocals here, so i can make 01:07:175 (1) - stand out more due to breaking flow there
01:20:068 (5,1) 01:30:855 (4,1) 01:41:641 (3,1) - is there a reason why u stacked these doubles but the rest of them u only overlapped? you also did this in the other choruses so you probably have a reason but i can't pinpoint it myself so im curious lol just minor variation in patterns that still emphasizes same things and plays pretty much the same to keep the map a bit more engaging and dynamic and as you said it repeats like that each time.
"repeated variation" is what I really like using for such maps. it keeps things more interesting on super repetitive songs like this one while not feeling inconsistent or anything due to being quite similar in how it plays and repeating like that. you might also notice how the first iteration of this musical pattern uses a slightly different rhythm than the other 2 times it repeats each part, like 01:42:063 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - 01:47:456 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - 01:52:849 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - as a similar idea. they still follow and emphasize the same stuff with similar difficulty

02:24:029 (1,2,3,4) - shouldn't these have bigger spacing than 02:23:692 (1,2,3,4) ? to me it sounds like the sound is getting stronger but the spacing is getting smaller
02:46:107 (2) - to me it sounds kinda off to have the strong clap on the slider tail, especially here where there are no vocals so you have to follow percussion. later on in the part it is justifyiable since theres vocals that start on red ticks but here i think it should be clickable. this is also the case in 02:52:849 (1). on 02:51:501 (2) and 02:54:197 (2) both strong vocal and percussion land on the slider tail. i see the effect you're trying to create with doubling the SV on these sliders with claps on their tail but to me it still sounds off and i think itd be more representative of the song to use active rhythmn for the claps
part just uses a different form of emphasis (high sv + stack on tail to emphasize the kick-snare rhythm there) since the part feels quite different. explained here too http://i.imgur.com/NNgcCkb.jpg

03:19:815 (2,3,1) - the flow here feels uncomfortable and I don't really see a reason for that since usually you use more comfortable flow to represent the same sounds at the start of the chorus (eg.01:19:815 (4,5,1) 05:37:343 (2,3,1) and the rest). ctrl+g on 03:19:815 (2) then on 03:20:152 (1) and then moving 3 to its new head would flow better imo or simply coming up with a different pattern works too
feels totally fine to me with slider leniency

04:27:737 (1) - i think these smaller sliders are burai, you can't tell which direction they're gonna go in while the head is still there/before clicking. even tho they're hold sliders im pretty sure it's still unrankable. its ambiguous which direction they're gonna go in since rn the slider head blocks vision of the slider path that makes it obvious it'll go left (hopefully that makes sense lol). u used a slightly different shape for this one 04:33:804 (1) and it seems a lot less ambiguous than the previous ones since the head is more towards one point of the star rather than centered so copy pasting 04:33:804 (1) for all the previous stars would fix it. its only these three 04:27:737 (1,1,1) that are the problem
should still be fine and breaking on them from going into the wrong direction is also impossible

05:01:613 - feel like there should be a note here, theres a strong sound in the song tho since you are emphasizing sounds different than the one u skipped having a 1/4 slider on 05:01:529 (3) and ending it on 05:01:613 keeps that same emphasis but doesn't skip over that sound. i think that works pretty well
see other reply
05:01:782 (1,2) - u mapped these with 2 1/4 slider but these 05:02:793 (1,2,3,4) are all circles even tho theyre the same sound. itd be better if it was consistent imo, i dont see the need for variety here first one is mainly to transition and lead into the stream
05:03:804 (1) - i dont think this NC is necessary since there isn't any change in the music follows the consistent stream pattern though,
sudden 16 notes would be lol

05:53:018 (1) - extending this slider skips over a sound on the red tick that u followed with 05:52:681 (1) so it feels kinda inconsistent. tho you did do this in every other chorus so u probably have a reason but again I wanna hear what it is lol i have more of them in other spots, vocal is most important here anyways, so longer hold works better and I never put much emphasis on that red tick sound so skipping it doesn't feel weird since I emphasize vocals a lot already anyways, it's really intuitive in gameplay and makes a more interesting rhythm following these wouldn't really allow me to use 1/1 and 3/4 sliders and make the whole chorus really bland
06:41:388 (2) - the sounds ure following stop on the blue tick so i don't see the purpose of the repeat since there isn't any sound worth mapping on the downbeat. you stopped following the instrument that is on the downbeat(06:41:557 ) at 06:36:164 (1) - and it feels off to switch back to it for the last note of the song removed this for now

phew that took a while

  2. 01:40:883 (1) - same as above
  3. 02:24:029 (1,2,3,4,1) - actually that rhythm feels a bit ou of place imo, it feels a bit mixed between whistles rhythm and vocals. you should at least try to make 02:24:029 (1,2,3,4) - different. to show the difference with 02:23:692 (1,2,3,4) - (hope you understand my english is so bad) both have the same base 1/4 synth sound and the vocals are seperated with a streamjump and change in song => stream spacing change
  4. 02:48:804 (2) - NC maybe? if I nc'd all sv changes in this part it would be pretty spammy and wouldn't help readability lmao
  5. 03:07:175 (4,5,1) - spacing inconsistency with 01:28:748 (4,5,1) - both are spaced passive 1/4 - overlapped active 1/4 ??
  6. 05:24:703 (4,5,1) - same here they all play similarly due to leniency anyways
  7. 04:16:276 (2) - whistle on sliderbody is intended? removed
  8. 06:38:776 (8,1) - why not increasing the spacing to show the intensity of the sound above? as u did on 05:03:046 (4,1) - 05:04:394 (8,1) - that was cool but it already increases by ~20%

I finished preparations earlier than I'd thought, so I was planning to mod my pending requests and close the queue (indefinitely, please read the main post for info if you have any interest whatsoever), but this map is just.. fine. It's beyond my ability to provide suggestions. I hoped I'd be able to make a meaningful contribution to a big name's map, but I guess I still have a way to go. I'll just shoot a star since you went out of your way to post on my queue in the first place. Push for rank. Concepts are clear, applied repeatedly, play correctly, look fine. Overall quality map. I apologize I could not provide any insights in unnoticed mistakes or outright flaws that are just beyond my comprehension as a mapper and a modder. Good luck!

  1. I don't get the diffname, what should it represent
  2. I think a little variation in rhythm would be good at the intro of the map, basically 7 times playing the same pattern is kinda boring. Maybe combine 00:02:961 (2,3) - these objects together into one slider, same for the first 4 iterations.
  3. 00:45:181 (4,1) - At least this streamjump feels forced, doing it for the vocal is kinda meh and the stream is only gradually increasing in volume. Would just make it regular streamy
  4. 01:28:579 (2,3,4,5,1) - This is probably the one thing that annoys me the most out of the map: The pattern neglects the really dominant kicks which (at least to me) leaves bad feedback to player since you have these two subsequent sliders with the ends on them which is kinda wtf.
You should definitely have these notes played, not only followed, so put some objects at them (in the example at 2, 5, 7):

And this repeats throughout the whole map so idk what good reason you might have for this. Would need to fix them all.
  5. 01:56:051 (1) - Two circles instead cuz kick on sliderend. Same for 03:34:478 (1) - 05:52:006 (1) -
  6. 02:33:636 (1,2,3,1,2,1,2) - I feel you could highlight this section a bit better if you space them wider and a bit more freely.
  7. 04:27:737 - Idk lol, I'd rather stick to long 8/1 sliders here than the vocals, feels a bit better to play. but you put effort into these so w/e (look more like flowers tho)
Otherwise pretty consistent stuff with some nice patterns. The red underlined thingy is kinda important to look over, otherwise it's already good to go.

Maybe combine 00:02:961 (2,3) - these objects together into one slider, same for the first 4 iterations. I already added some variation by alternating the first rhythm with 00:07:849 (1,2,3) - etc. going further than that just seems too varied to me as the repeats the exact same thing and I already used two ways to map it for some variety
  3. 00:45:181 (4,1) - At least this streamjump feels forced, doing it for the vocal is kinda meh and the stream is only gradually increasing in volume. Would just make it regular streamy nerfed it a bit, jump itself seems fine to introduce them in an easier part and it works well with how the synth picks up so much + vocal
  4. 01:28:579 (2,3,4,5,1) - This is probably the one thing that annoys me the most out of the map: The pattern neglects the really dominant kicks which (at least to me) leaves bad feedback to player since you have these two subsequent sliders with the ends on them which is kinda wtf.

disagree, you might see how I foused a lot on vocals in these parts and put lots of kicks on sliderends, they seem more important to me and suddenly switching to kicks would take away from that
  5. 01:56:051 (1) - Two circles instead cuz kick on sliderend. Same for 03:34:478 (1) - 05:52:006 (1) - similar here, I don't care much about kicks on my dnb maps lol
  6. 02:33:636 (1,2,3,1,2,1,2) - I feel you could highlight this section a bit better if you space them wider and a bit more freely. don't think so,
the sudden increase in tapping rhythm stands out a lot already and the spacing contrast is also cute
  7. 04:27:737 - Idk lol, I'd rather stick to long 8/1 sliders here than the vocals, feels a bit better to play. but you put effort into these so w/e (look more like flowers tho) seems better to focus on the vocals as closely as possible, 8/1 spam seemed gross there to me

23:54 Mir: i didn't even notice they were hitnormals i thought it was the song
23:54 Lasse: they are different from the song though
23:55 Mir: that may be so but they blend into it really well
23:55 Lasse: they give the right amount of feedback imo
23:55 Lasse: you easily notice when you go offbeat and when you tap
23:55 Lasse: did you redonwload? I changed them once a few days after submit
23:55 Mir: i just redl'd
23:55 Lasse: idk they are like
23:55 Lasse: super obvious to me
23:56 Lasse: lol
23:56 Mir: to me they blend in so well i don't even notice they're there
23:56 Mir: it really doesn't help that soliely used like
23:56 Mir: really loud hihats
23:57 Lasse: they seem much louder than the song ones to me lol
23:57 Mir: im really on the fence about it
23:57 Mir: i can hear them now
23:57 Mir: that you said it
23:57 Mir: but had you not, i never would have known xD
23:58 Mir: i thought you were using uhh
23:58 Mir: 00:02:456 (1,2,3) - this hitnormal
23:58 Mir: for the whole song
23:58 Lasse: lol
23:58 Mir: that's why i couldn't hear the hihat
23:58 Mir: cuz it blended in so well i didn't realize you switched it
00:00 Mir: i think
00:00 Mir: i'll get some opinions
00:00 Lasse: i mean it just sounds really audible to me
00:02 Lasse: I mean I tried like
00:02 Lasse: 5 hitnormals
00:03 Lasse: and this seemed nicest to play for me without killing the song
00:04 Mir: http://i.imgur.com/uaLK86T.png http://i.imgur.com/1m8MucE.png
00:04 Mir: maybe cuz you placed them you can hear them
00:05 Lasse: i mean compare it to shit like
00:05 Lasse: justability
00:05 Lasse: that is actual blending
00:05 Mir: well we can
00:05 Mir: avoid that cant we
00:05 Lasse: this gives enough feedback imo
00:06 Lasse: eh
00:06 Lasse: http://puu.sh/x8xQ9/d3b81479e4.zip these are what I had before
00:06 Lasse: but they are so noisy idk
00:06 Lasse: current just work too well
00:07 Mir: i mean at least i can hear these
00:07 Mir: these work
00:08 Mir: the other ones work way too well
00:09 Lasse: mh
00:09 Lasse: how about http://puu.sh/x8xYM/e4cffbe1b3.wav
00:09 Lasse: the other ones ruin it a bit for me tbh
00:09 Mir: http://i.imgur.com/TXxC9zV.png g
00:09 Lasse: but this one might blend even more
00:09 Lasse: it should still dl?
00:10 Mir: nope i dont think so
00:10 Mir: saves as html
00:10 Lasse: http://puu.sh/x8y0p/611fb583f9.zip
00:11 Mir: these blend too much as well
00:11 Lasse: i want to die
00:11 Mir: :(

I probably missed a few additions, I'll give a proper reply when I'm back home in some hours, map is still qualified for a few days anyways
edit:
02:33:299 - prefer to keep whistle on vocals and stronger synth only here
06:30:433 - similar here for synth

others all fixed

also fixed the slightly broken stack on 05:36:164 (1) -
+ drum clap 02:54:197 -

thanks for checking!
going to look for qat then
