Main Rules
- Tournament is open to all players living in Australia/New Zealand (despite it being called "Ausu!Taiko" rather than "AusNZ!Taiko"; the name is really just for consistency with last year's name). EDIT: Surprise entrance from Malaysia!
- This tournament style is a double elimination bracket.
- Players will be seeded by global rank.
- The tournament is limited to the first 32 entrants that signs up.
- Any people that insults/fight/poor attitude with other players/tournament staff is disqualified (Same goes for staff members).
-
ausu!community rules also apply to this tournament; any rule break in the community servers before or during the tournament (e.g. discord) can have potential disqualification and bans.Yeah, ignore that.
Match Rules
- 1 on 1 Taiko match; highest score wins.
- Scoring will be calculated via ScoreV2.
- The map pool contains 4 NM, 2 HD, 2 HR, 3 DT, 3 FM & 1 TB.
- You can request to use NC instead of DT, but your opponent must agree to do so.
- Free Mod consists of HD, HR, HDHR, or NoMod only. No other mods/combinations of mods may be used.
- You are allowed 1 ban per match (which must be used).
- You can pick 1 warm-up (limit up to 5 mins per warmup).
- !roll will determine who will pick the first beatmap.
- The player with the lowest roll will ban first, followed by the other player.
- You have to be on the match on the scheduled time.
- You have 10 minutes to attend your match before a win by default is given to the other player.
- If both players fail, the player with the highest failed score wins the point.
- If the scores are tied, then the beatmap will be played again and no point(s) will be awarded.
Tournament Structure
- Seeding is based off of the player's rankings; there will be four seed categories and every player will fit into one of these depending on their total Taiko pp compared to the rest of the players. Groups for the Group Stage will be groups of four, where each player is from a different seed category. Please note: this may change depending on the number of participants.
- 4 points to win the match in the group stages.
- 5 points to win the match in the round of 16 and quarter finals matches.
- 6 points to win the match in the semi finals and finals week 1 matches.
- 7 points to win the match in the finals week 2 matches.
