[Archived] osu! won't stop updating

Problem Details:osu! won't start because every time i double click on it, it updates. At first i taught it was normal, but when it finnishes it starts updating again and again and again... I tried restarting my computer, unsinstalling and reinstalling but nothing seems to work. I have seen other people ask the same question on the forum, but those people are not connected to internet when the problem accures. which is not my case, I am connected to internet when this problem accures. PLS help me :cry: . (sorry for my bad english)

Tengo el mismo problema y no me funciona ni reemplazando el archivo, ni una nueva instalación de osu desde 0, ni nada, cuál es el problema? Ayer mismo estaba jugando y hoy me da este error de actualización infinita una y otra vez.

¿Has probado a hacer lo que dice otro usuario en el post? Iniciar osu! en modo de compatibilidad de Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Entonces quizás deberías de ir pensando en cambiar a Windows 7, por ejemplo. XP es muy antiguo. Mira a ver si tienes alguna actualización pendiente de instalar.

Además, vete a tu instalación, abre "osu!.cfg" y deja _ReleaseStream así: _ReleaseStream = CuttingEdge

Si no funciona, no tengo idea de que puede ser. Lo siento.

Por qué cambiar a windows 7, cuando en windows 7 tienen el mismo problema y lo arreglan poniendo compatibilidad con window xp? xDD

Qué ha cambiado de ayer a hoy? Me iba perfecto ayer xD

Si tienes NET Framework 3.5, trata de instalar la versión 4 e inténtalo de nuevo.

Si tienes NET Framework 3.5, trata de instalar la versión 4 e inténtalo de nuevo.
Ya tenia el 4, y volvi a instalarlo como te digo, el bucle no termina nunca, alguna solución habrá de haber xD Qué locura! xD

I have the same problem as well and I have tried the compatibility with Windows XP Service Pack 3 and copying osu!.exe into another folder, however both solutions didn't seem to work, I also have NET Framework 4.5.2 as well.
