Just for future modders:

- "Mapsets may also use a complete set of custom difficulty names that clearly indicate their level of difficulty to the player" I asked in #lounge about these names and people saw no problem.

- About the 80kbps thing, I got the mp3 directly from the ost (for reference, it's 128kbps there) and then cut it with Audacity so that it was just one loop. If anyone has a better sounding mp3 I'd be grateful, anyways, comparing this one to the one I got from the ost there seems to be no mayor differences.

Thanks :)!

  1. Unrankable Issue/Highly Suggested
  2. Comment/Minor

General
  1. You might want to add "Yacht Club Games" to the Tags since they are the developers of the game so that if anyone searches for music of there games they will find your map.
  2. The black combo color might be good visible on the yellow Background but there are some players playing with 100% Dim. I've tried to play it like this and it was really hard to read q-q

Peasant
  1. 00:04:050 (2) - Minor - Place this at 72|36 to keep it symmetrical with 00:01:650 (2) - .
  2. 00:09:250 (4) - Consider adding a finish here instead of the clap as you did in the other diffs. This one just sounds so out of place since (maybe because there aren't more claps in this section) >:
  3. 00:11:250 (2) - This feels pretty weird rhythm-wise. Maybe it's just me but I think the sound at 00:12:050 - should be seperated from the rest. The main reason is that the holds of the instruments are all different: There's a really high 1/1 one at 00:11:250 - , and then there are two 3/1 ones starting at 00:12:050 - and 00:13:650 - . That rhythm feels way more natural to me here. (This just counts for this repeated Slider since the other ones aren't like this one because at them all the sounds mapped belong together) Marking this as highly suggested since this rhythm seems very weird here.
  4. 00:27:250 (5,1) - Uhm, I know it's a longer gap but this looks like it's still pretty hard to play for newbies. Maybe you could tweak it a bit especially because the other 2/1 Gaps don't have this spacing which could make it kinda confusing ;w;
  5. 00:42:450 (2) - The spacing to the following object is pretty low. Consider to make some adjustments here~
  6. 00:54:850 (2) - Is it intentional that this isn't at x:256? Since this messes up the symmetry as well as the spacing.
  7. I dislike your downbeat placement of the Normal-Sampleset in this diff since some of them either just simply don#t need the emphasis or the Normal-Sampleset doesn't fit. Also this Diff doesn't feature claps until the end as well as one unfitting at the start. Consider adding them as in the other diffs.

  8. Flow-wise very clean diff. Not much to say here, good job ^^ Sorry for so nazi stop making good diffs ;_;

Vassal
  1. 00:03:250 (1,2,3) - How about placing them in a line? That would also create a triangle with 00:02:450 (5,1) - which would look really cool here (:
  2. 00:08:050 (5) - I personally think this Slider looks a bit randomly placed. This may be just a personal preference here but this would be cool at 220|285 due to a zugzag movement with the previous Circles.
  3. 00:36:050 (4) - Why did you suddenly use 0,70 Spacing in the Section starting here? (until 00:47:250 - ) I don't really see a reason for this. The song doesn't get any calmer or even change at all imo :<
  4. 00:50:450 (1) - Hm, ignoring the note at 00:50:850 - feels wrong to me conisdering that the hold of the sound basically starts with this note and that you didn't ignore it at 00:44:450 (2) - .

  5. Hm, the diff itself is well done even though I personally dislike the choice of your 1/2 Spacing since overlapping Circles as 1/2 are better to play in Normals imo. I also have no idea why you've used 0,70 Spacing rather than your normal 0,80 in that one section. If it was intentional please tell me in your reply what you wanted to do with that (:

Courtier
  1. Why the same SV as in the Insane? ¬¬
  2. 00:00:050 (1,2,3,4,5) - The movement here felt pretty surprising to me ingame which made it feel a bit unnatural. Perhaps you can place 00:00:050 (1) - at 172|352 for a diamond shape with a zigzag movement. (It doesn't feel unnatural at 00:06:450 (1,2,3,4) - though, maybe it's just because it comes so fast if you start the map :/)
  3. 00:08:850 (9,10,11) - This triplet's spacing is pretty much out of place since you didn't use such spacing for triplets all over the map and especially not at 00:02:450 (10,11,12) - which is basically the same but uses such a low spacing. Please consider to change this and I'm sure you can do symmetry with low spacing as well.
  4. 00:12:050 (11) - <3 I'd still add a NC since this is very different from the previous section and kind of introduces the new section
  5. 00:17:850 (11) - Hm, I think the whistle emphasizes this tick a bit too much since the sound there is rather quiet and more drum-ish. Consider to remove the whistle and change the Sampleset to Drum as you did in the Royal Diff.
  6. 00:21:250 (8) - Move the last anchor point to 145|290 in order to let it point onto 00:21:650 (1) - which would create a smoother transition here.
  7. 00:30:650 (10,11,12,13) - Please CTRL+G this in terms of rhythm. The red -> white triplet feels weird considering that the emphasis of the whole 1/4 is at 00:30:850 - so this should be the last note of the triplet in order to be emphasized.
  8. 00:36:050 (4) - How about CTRL+G'ing this? That would create a neat kind of flow here. Just an idea, nothing you have to fix though~
  9. 00:40:850 (1,2,9,10) - If we compare the spacing here with the spacing of the following ones (e.g. 00:47:250 (1,2) - ) this is pretty low, don't you think so? Consider changing this for the sake of consistency.
  10. 00:42:250 (8,9) - Is the higher spacing between them intentional? You should probably even this out since you didn't use this anywhere else here despite some notes being even stronger (e.g. 00:44:050 (1) - )
  11. 00:46:850 (10,1) - The gap between these two feels really awkward since there's a really strong sound on the red tick inbetween. Please consider to add a note there (you could also add one at 00:47:150 - to get a triplet as in the song which would be similiar to 00:48:650 (4,5,6) - ).
  12. 01:00:050 - I found the section starting here really hard to play due to these really strong curved Sliders making it hard to aim the line at 01:00:750 (3,4,5) - for example. I suggest you to slightly tweak the section by using less curved Sliders. Maybe you could also work with a symmetrical style similiar to the Royal Diff since that fit and played amazing.

  13. Very well done diff. You've done a great job with your patterns and the flow in gerneral. Keep it up :b

Royal
  1. 00:08:450 (7,8) - Considering that you follow the high pitched sound here as we can see with 00:08:250 (6) - being mapped (which it wasn't at 00:01:850 - because the particular instrument didn't play here) I'd put a Circle at 00:08:550 - since there's a really strong note played by this instrument.
  2. 00:13:650 (1) - Maybe it's just me but I don't really think the spinner fits well here. The sound you are following here is very similiar to 00:12:050 - which was mapped by a 4/1-Slider. Cosnider doing such a Slider here as well in order to give the player a way more natural feeling. (I'd also put a NC for 00:12:050 (10) - since the music changes a lot here building a transition into the next section :/)
    Screenshot+Code

    340,180,13650,2,0,B|147:252|154:389|255:457|356:389|364:252|170:180,1,580.80001772461
  3. 00:16:850 (5,7) - The claps here feel kinda unfitting and inconsistent with the hitsounding in the rest of the section to me. Well, I guess the reason for this is that the tails of the previous Sliders are pretty much the same as the one of (5) which makes it feel odd to have a clap just here :< I dunno, Normal sampleset (7) would fit way better to me :/
  4. 00:20:650 (12) - Perhaps you can move this a bit left to get an equal triangle with 00:20:050 (8,11) - (even thought you also have adjsut the spacing between them a bit since it's 0,85). The reason why I wan't you to do this is that it felt unintuitive to have 00:20:050 (8,12) - so near to each other. I mean by doing it as seen in the Screenshot below you give the player a way more fluent movement of the curve formed by 00:20:450 (11,12,13) - which would improve the whole flow here a lot as well as the aesthetics.
  5. 00:21:650 (1,2,3,4,5) - This looks "ugly" to me since it looks like a failed oval-ish "O"-shape. I have no idea if this is intentional or not so I'll mark it as a comment.
  6. 00:28:450 (2,3) - The transition between these two Slider feels weird. The problem is that the player has to move back to the left from (2)'s tail in order to hit (3)'s head and then s/he has turn to the right immediately which creates a pretty unstable unnatural feeling flow. To fix that just simply relocate (2)'s third anchor point to 75|158.
  7. 00:33:050 (6) - Considering that the sound mapped by the tail here is the same as the sound mapped by 00:33:850 (8) - 's tail, I'd change the Drum Sampleset from (6)'s tail to Normal as well. Also the drum sampleset isn't really noticable there which doesn't really fit the emphasis of the note.
  8. 00:46:050 (8,9,10) - Minor - I don't really see a reason for this having a lower spacing than 00:45:250 (4,5,6,12,13,14) - since epsecially 4, 5 and 6 are basically the same sound here.
  9. 00:52:050 (1,2) - Replacing this notes with a 1/4 for each would create a neat effect here since the sound you are following here actually hits the blue tick as well.
  10. 00:55:650 (6) - Try to move this a bit right (somewhere aorund 380|265) since the almost perpendicular transition from the previous object makes the turn to the right feel rapid which hurts the flow imo
  11. 00:58:050 (6) - Perhaps you can move the second anchor point to 200|180 to improve the flow into 00:58:450 (7) - . That would cause a way more fluent movement.

  12. Awesome usage of symmetry. I love your style <3 Good job :3

Please reply! I hope it was helpful and good luck! :3 Also take another Star (ノ·ω·)ノ︵

Will see what others say.
  2. The black combo color might be good visible on the yellow Background but there are some players playing with 100% Dim. I've tried to play it like this and it was really hard to read q-q Well, sorry for them :s I'll change it if requested, but I'm not happy to have to change something because some people want to pay the map in a different fashion. I guess times HAVE changed and more power is shifting to the players, well, whatever...

  2. 00:09:250 (4) - Done, nice catch

  4. 00:27:250 (5,1) - Considering than the previous modpost mentioned this too, Done
  5. 00:42:450 (2) - Yeah, the sliders were also pretty dull.
  6. 00:54:850 (2) - Crap, no it's not, fixed.

  7. I'll meditate on this suggestion

Vassal
  1. 00:03:250 (1,2,3) - I'll keep them as they are for now
  2. 00:08:050 (5) - You mean something like this? (see the updated version) I personally don't think the placement is random, but whatever :P
  3. 00:36:050 (4) - Ah, crap, must have been modified when I fixed the previous pattern
  4. 00:50:450 (1) I want to give a simpler rhythm for the player to prepare for the next combo.

  5. I personally hate overlapping 1/2's, so I avoid it as much as possible. Thanks for the suggestion tho.

Courtier
  1. Why the same SV as in the Insane? ¬¬ Because it's not meant to be a Hard by itself (even though osu considers it to be), also the circle size is bigger in this diff so the SV doesn't "moves as fast" as with a smaller Circle Size.
  2. 00:00:050 (1,2,3,4,5) - Adjusted both combos
  3. 00:08:850 (9,10,11) - Huh? but the rhythm fits! Also, it uses a different spacing because the pattern is a different one. I don't always compress my triplets, y'know.
  4. 00:12:050 (11) - Sorry, nope
  5. 00:17:850 (11) - I'm ok with this
  6. 00:21:250 (8) - Or I could just move the slider. Done :P
  7. 00:30:650 (10,11,12,13) - Ok
  8. 00:36:050 (4) - Great Idea, thanks!
  9. 00:40:850 (1,2,9,10) - Hmm, ok
  10. 00:42:250 (8,9) - Modified this a bit. Didn't exactly reduce the spacing but made it consistent between (7,8,9)
  11. 00:46:850 (10,1) -Done the first one. The second suggestion was ignored since (4,5,6) has a triplet in the music, but t(10,1) doesn't
  12. 01:00:050 - I found the section starting here really hard to play due to these really strong curved Sliders making it hard to aim the line at 01:00:750 (3,4,5) - Intentional, mwahahaha! Buuut I guess I can tweak it if other people thinks I should

  13. Thank you

Royal
  1. 00:08:450 (7,8) - Not the rhythm I'm aiming for
  2. 00:13:650 (1) - Not done, sorry!
  3. 00:16:850 (5,7) - Not done either, sorry!
  4. 00:20:650 (12) - Done
  5. 00:21:650 (1,2,3,4,5) - Modified it a bit so that the stream follows the end/start curve of the sliders more smoothly
  6. 00:28:450 (2,3) - Moved the whole slider instead
  7. 00:33:050 (6) -The emphasis in (8)'s tail, rather than to follow the usual Clap-every-two-beats thingy is to mark the pitch going up in (8,9,1)
  8. 00:46:050 (8,9,10) -Ok
  9. 00:52:050 (1,2) - It does? If so, I cannot hear it.
  10. 00:55:650 (6) - I like to "break the flow" sometimes.

That was a very well done modpost, thank you very much for the feedback, suggestions and such.

Audio lead-in looks so short for me... no way to change it by editor(at least i can't find this feature), but you still can do it by editing *.osu files. imo +1000~1500ms will be enough.
Mp3 has 80kbps bitrate, but i guess impossible to find it in better quality, so it should be fine...
i think you have set tickrate 1 in Vassal for target (less noise from sliderticks) but if not, set tickrate2 there please :P

Royal
00:16:850 (5) - imo, rhythm here should be like this, 2nd triple sounds off for me: http://puu.sh/9ZeBD/3ee89dbc68.png
00:26:950 - i'd add something here
00:33:050 (6,7,8) - same thing about triples
kinda strange for me that you have note here 00:39:550 (10) - , but don't have them here 00:37:950 and there 00:38:750 :
00:40:450 (19,20,21) - i'd turn it into this: http://puu.sh/9Zf1o/adeadeb01a.jpg
combo follows music better, pattern follows next patterns better too.

Courtier
Same SV as in Royal? okaaay
imo, your combos are qiute long...
00:01:650 (7) - add nc, 00:04:850 (8) - here too, etc etc
00:24:650 (11) - this note breaks your flow, i'd put it to other side and flip horizontally next patterns. (11) placed same as black (2) on the screenshot: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1790267
00:32:050 (3) - ctrl+g will make flow better here and save your symmetry
00:36:450 (5) - add here normal whistle, whistle on the start of 00:34:850 (2) - sounds lonely
00:40:850 (1) - add normal whistle to the start, seems you missed it
01:05:050 (1,2,3) - don't see connection between music and triples :<
try 5 / 9 or 5 / 5 / 3 :
http://puu.sh/9ZgZP/05fdb96d44.png

Vassal
00:05:650 (5) - i'd change drum whistle to normal whistle. it also follows 2 whistles rhythm here: 00:11:250 (5) -
00:26:450 (3) - add normal whistle?
00:40:850 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - yeah, whistles again, i'd add them to notes + starts of all three sliders. up to you ofc, just think they fit more than no sound.

Thank you!

Thanks for the great suggestions.

For future modders:
I like having same SV between hard and insane if the circle size is bigger in the hard. ;)

KRIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSOMMMMMMMMMM

[Peasant]
  1. 00:34:450 (1) - I'd highly recommend against more than 1 reverse in a slider on the easier diffs. tends to throw off newer players a bunch imo
  2. 00:56:850 (5) - same thing here imo
  3. 01:03:050 - this beat feels so awkward not being mapped :(
  4. 00:40:850 (1,2,3) - LOL I'M DYING THE WHISTLES MAKE THIS SO GREAT
yea there's like literally nothing wrong with this diff you're amazing at mapping wtf

it's a tad linear, but well, you make linear look good so it's okay

[Vassal]
  1. 00:16:050 (3) - pull this down further for that intense back and forth zigzag motion
  2. 00:20:050 (3,4,5) - this actually looks pretty hard for a normal, maybe I'm just super dumb (I'm PROBABLY super dumb) but well, idk D:
  3. 00:29:650 (5,6,7) - careful with stacks D: especially like, triplet stacks like that
  4. 00:32:050 (3,4) - ewwwwwwww, overlap :(
this map is beautiful well done

[Courtier]
  • that name what omg is that actually a thing
this seems REALLY hard for a hard, idk if it's meant to be a hard or an insane. spread seems weird if it's an insane, but whatever I guess :P
  1. 00:05:950 (12,13) - slight overmapping here I think :(
  2. 00:13:050 (1) - kinda think the spinner should start at 00:13:650 - instead of where it is right now, just put 2 notes in the gap to map the beat imo
  3. 00:37:050 (7,3) - overlap here is killin me :( it's probably not even visible but whatevs
  4. 00:48:050 (3) - blahhhh, I really hate multiple repeat reverses :( they're just like, after the first one, my mouse automatically wants to move over to the next note. take it as you will
[Royal]
  • I HATE CS5 WHYW HWHYWHYW :(
  1. 00:39:550 (12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19) - this stream seems really long in comparison to the others, might make it a lot harder than necessary imo. maybe cut it down to size with the rest and then just add 1/2s after? just an opinion
this diff is really clean though, as much as I hate cs5
great map, I expected nothing less :3 good luck!

  1. 00:34:450 (1) - It's more than a beat apart, if it was just one beat apart I'd consider this
  2. 00:56:850 (5) -^
  3. 01:03:050 - It'd be awkward to map an offbeat on the Easy so I made the spinner start earlier

[Vassal]
  1. 00:16:050 (3) - Yesh
  2. 00:20:050 (3,4,5) - Really? I don't think this is hard for a normal in any way
  3. 00:29:650 (5,6,7) - ^
  4. 00:32:050 (3,4) - Moved
this map is beautiful well done

It's not a Hard, it's not an Insane either. I mapped this because I remember that awful moment when I was alredy bored of Hards but insanes were OMGICAN'TPASSTHIS
    None applied, sorry!
[Royal]
  • I HATE CS5 WHYW HWHYWHYW :( It's my mapping style, it's on most of my maps actually.
  1. 00:39:550 (12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19) - Sorry, not done, alredy cut it with Aleks' mod.
great map, I expected nothing less :3 good luck!

19:52 Leader: OK so here we start
19:52 Krisom: Hello o/
19:54 Leader: Haihai
19:55 Leader: black combo color resulted rankable, for your happiness
19:55 Krisom: \o/
19:55 Krisom: I will change it anyway, been thinking about that
19:55 Krisom: probably will make it a dark hue of purple
19:56 Leader: mhm, as you wish
19:57 Leader: [Peasant] and [Vassal] diffs are fine
19:57 Leader: I'd just go for a curved slider on 00:08:050 (5) -
19:58 Krisom: on vassal?
19:58 Leader: oh, yes
19:59 Krisom: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1831343
20:00 Leader: nice
20:01 Leader: on [Courtier], you may want to move 00:02:850 (11) - in x:456 y:260, at the moment it almost overlaps with the previous slider and doesn't feel well placed
20:02 Leader: 00:12:050 (9) - a NC would be cool here
20:03 Krisom: Both done
20:04 Leader: 00:17:050 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - You could nerf this pattern by deleting 8 and 10
20:04 Leader: we just have to make this diff a bit easier >_<
20:05 Krisom: what about making a slider from (9) to (11)? I don't want to get rid of (8)
20:05 Leader: I think 00:18:050 (11) - feels better as a note
20:06 Leader: brb 10 minutes xD
20:06 Krisom: Sure
20:09 Krisom: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1831377
20:17 Leader: back
20:17 Leader: 00:20:650 (6,7,8) - you could do the same here, but this is much easier
20:18 Krisom: Yeah
20:18 Leader: 00:22:250 (2) - Why this whistle x_x
20:19 Krisom: There's a high pitch in the music right there
20:21 Krisom: btw I made the pattern easier at 00:39:250 - just now
20:21 Krisom: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1831405
20:21 Leader: good
20:21 Leader: 00:28:450 (3) - isn't it ending on 1/3 or it's just the offset? LOL
20:22 Krisom: I'm quite sure it's 1/4, so it must be the offset
20:22 Leader: 00:37:650 (1,2,3,4) - They are way too curved, aren't they? :<
20:22 Leader: you should ask an expert because
20:22 Leader: that part feels a bit late
20:23 Krisom: Hmm, who's better at this? I know charles is but he seems to be quite busy
20:23 Krisom: Also I like the way they are curved :x
20:23 Leader: 00:42:450 (9) - This combo is quite long so better add a new one here
20:23 Krisom: Oki
20:25 Leader: 00:53:650 - aaa
20:25 Leader: You should have either notes or slider starting from here
20:26 Krisom: spacing? the note? Oh that
20:26 Krisom: Ok
20:26 Leader: This would emphasize the new melody better
20:26 Leader: >3<
20:27 Leader: 01:04:850 (1) - this should start on the previous white tick imo
20:28 Krisom: You think? I believe that starts where it is now
20:28 Leader: That's fine in both ways I guess
20:30 Krisom: I'll update the diff
20:31 Leader: ok
20:31 Leader: 00:04:850 (7) - on [Royal] a new combo to emphasize the higher pitch?
20:31 Leader: we have some loooong combo to fix, actually
20:32 Leader: 00:12:050 (10) - you can add one like you did in the previous diff
20:32 Leader: 00:36:050 (7) - would be cool here
20:32 Leader: 00:38:450 (6,11) - This is getting way too long, so I'd add nc on these notes
20:33 Leader: 00:42:450 (10) - 00:48:650 (7) - and here
20:34 Krisom: Done suggestion 2, 4, 5 and 6
20:34 Leader: 00:48:650 (7) - this is the 6th?
20:35 Krisom: Yesh
20:35 Leader: mhm, k
20:36 Krisom: want me to upload again?
20:37 Leader: wait ww
20:37 Krisom: =www=
20:37 Leader: 00:27:450 (11) - This clap is so annooooying ;_;
20:38 Leader: 00:33:050 (6,7,8,9) - and this part feels empty without proper hitsounds
20:38 Krisom: What if for the first two claps I make the hitsounds 80% volume=
20:38 Krisom: ?
20:39 Leader: Nah, may be just me
20:40 Leader: okay, that's all

As I stated in chat, I would like to have a proper timing check before bubbling this, so I'll just shoot a star for now~

EDIT: Offset is fine now, bubbled!

Wait, I didn't notice. Gratz Krisom <3

I mades you a better BG. I can reposition/scale King Knight differently if you'd like.

00:12:040 (1) - Use this for a smoother slider.
