  1. 00:13:563 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - is not following anything, completely random
  2. 00:33:659 (2,3,4,1,2,3,1,2,3) - really really messy and hard to read, it might have to do with the new combo spam as well.
  3. 00:46:766 (3) - this doesn't really fit this part of the song...
  4. 00:50:844 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - same suggestion as before.
  5. 00:53:174 (3,4,1) - if you want to put streams in, here is the place. you're following the music incorrectly at times, for example, when a stream is indicated, you use sliders (which is fine if you're not so crazy with streams), but you place streams where it's not called for in the music and it becomes annoying to play... it is a rhythm game, no?

01:03:930 (3) - rhythm like this in a normal should be passable, but in a easy is pushing it. You may want to remove a repeat on 01:02:328 (2) and have another slider start from 01:03:493 to where the note was before.
01:19:221 (1) - imo you should totally have finishes where the cymbals are in this section (completely achievable too).

00:27:959 (4) - stacks like these are especially frowned upon in normals. Consider unstacking them (distance snapped)
01:13:250 (5) - Just a little more to the right please.

[Hard]
00:27:667 (7) - suggest you remove two repeats, and have 00:28:104 (1,2) a 1/2 earlier. Then add a note to 00:28:396 . The 5 1/4 hitsounds just don't quite fit.
00:32:182 (8) - I also advise against doing stuff like this. Reverse sliders used to replace streams in hards are not that great either (especially at this bpm).

00:25:483 (4) - I would definately suggest having 00:25:629 (5) go down again as opposed to go to the left as you have it right now. Got me twice when I wasn't paying attention.
00:26:065 (2) - I would recommend having 00:28:396 (2) sliders like these be like the reverse slider there. Having a slider go straight through a heavy snare is not that great.

  2. 00:00:944 (1) - Melo and Mythol placed a spinner here 1/4 beats earlier than you. Maybe you would want to do that too (in short: begin the spinner at 00:00:871).
  3. 00:04:658 (2) - I would like to split this into a 1/1 slider that repeats once plus another 1/1 slider, but eh, it's up to you.
  4. 00:06:405 (3) - Changing this into a 1/2 slider should be fine. It goes better with the music.

I can't remember when I saw you the last time mapping in freestyle (if I ever saw you doing this before), but to be honest, this was misleading the sense. orz
Up to now, I still can't consider what your real plan was to map. By hearing the vocal to have freestyle mapping or by hearing the beat to have freestyle mapping? Sometimes certain main-beats which should be held, were just ignored and mapped by the other note or overmapped by 5-plets. There were even time-sections where nothing was. This leads to weird sounding pattern constalations.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this could be better. =w=

I think 1000 is a bit too sudden for players since the offset is at -2. i suggest 1500 or 2000 to give some time for players to get ready.

[Laurier's Easy]
00:04:658 (2) - this repeat slider doesn't fit with the guitar. when i saw the 4/1 slider, that followed the guitar pretty nicely, but this slider just killed it because of where the repeat is. remove (3) and make this a 4/1 repeat slider so that it'd follow the guitar nicely. i felt really comfortable when i did this pattern as it flows smoothly to the guitar.
00:10:483 (4,5) - when i hit (4), i hit this note too early which leads to a 100 or a late 300. remove this note and move back the slider by 1/1 to make it easier. if you ignore this, remove (4) and replace some of the 1/1 sliders for circles to give off a pattern. with this many sliders following the same thing, it'd look boring for players, especially for beginners IMO.
00:15:143 (1) - move this spinner back 1/2 and extend it by 1/2 because that's where the piano starts and holds.
00:21:842 (1) - remove this circle it doesn't follow anything, and it doesn't fit with the small clash in the cymbals. instead move the circle back by 1/2 and add a 2/2 slider starting at 00:21:988. if you ignore this, you have to do something else similar to what i said because this circle doesn't fit with this part.
00:27:959 (3) - add a finish here to match the cymbals in the song. you can clearly hear the sound of the cymbals here.
00:30:289 (1) - ^
00:32:036 - add a circle to follow the guitar in the song? it'd make a great starting point to the next 2 notes during gameplay, and it might avoid the player hitting that 1 note too early.
00:58:250 (1,2,3) - these 3 circles don't follow the instrumental that accurate. instead try something like this to follow the instrumental accurate. again if you ignore this, then you can do something similar to what i said because these circles doesn't feel like they belong in the song.
01:03:347 (3) - move this slider back by 1/2 to follow the long pause in the vocals. since it's at the kiai, it'd make a great challenge for beginners to know if they can clear this or not.
01:08:735 (1,2) - remove this and replace this for a 3/2 slider to follow the long pause accurately.here too, if you say it's hard, then feel free to do something similar to this.
01:14:269 - same as 00:32:046 but to follow the vocals in the song. again beginners might hit the next note too early mainly because they think that's where the vocals start.
01:16:599 (4) - make this a 1/1 slider to follow the long pause in the cymbals, also add a circle at 01:17:328 to follow the vocals in this song. this 2/2 slider doesn't fit with this part since there's a change in the downbeat.
01:20:968 (1) - reduce this slider by 1/1 because that's where the guitar riff ends and starts all over again.
2 things, you can add a few more finishes to match the cymbals in the song. i saw a few empty spots where the finish doesn't cover up the cymbals, also try to increase the star over 2-2.50 stars to keep the balance between easy and normal.

[Cilvery's Normal]
The settings don't fit with a song like this. increase everything except for the CS by 1 to give off a bit of a challenge. also i think it's too slow and too simple with settings like this IMO.
no spinner? at least add 1 spinner to keep the consistency with the other diffs in the map.
00:07:570 (2) - this overlap bothers me during gameplay because of the way it's touching (4) at the previous combo. instead move it down so that the gap between (1,4) are even. it should look like this.
00:11:065 (6) - remove the repeat on this slider, add a circle at the 1st downbeat and make that circle a NC because that's where the guitar changes in the song.
00:18:930 (4) - make this a NC. the lyrics in this song start to change.
00:23:298 (2) - with the BPM this with and the direction this slider is taking, it'd be hard for players to follow because of the wavy pattern. i suggest doing something simple but a bit hard for players to clear and to make it enjoyable for them.
00:38:153 (5,6,7) - this pattern might be hard because since (5) is shaped like that, i think it'd be hard to know when to hit the circle and slider between this note. again do something easier but not too hard so that it'd be fun and enjoyable for players.
00:48:347 (1) - same as 00:07:570 but move it up if you do this, also move (2) around so that it'd follow the DS to and from the next note.
00:53:590 (5) - Make this a NC. the guitar starts and the lyrics change in this part.
01:18:638 (1,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - not good enough. with this many straight sliders, it might get boring for players, change up your pattern, or re-arrange this pattern to make it fun for players. for example if you change it up, then you do a smooth slider/circle pattern in which you and other players feel comfortable doing, but if you re-arrange it, then you could make some of the sliders curved sliders so give off that flowy feeling to the map. remember it has to flow to the map and it should give off some feeling to the person playing this.
there's a few things i like to mention: some of the combos are way too big and the lyrics change at some point. go back to the map and make those notes a NC because like i said, some of the combos are too long, and there's overlaps here and there. if you want, fix them so that it won't bother some players playing this diff.

[Melo's Hard]
00:02:328 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - how about giving off a pattern like a slider to circle pattern. you added circles at 00:05:531, so why don't you do it here? i think it'd make a great introduction for players who play this diff. if you ignore this, then you can do something similar to what i said.
00:15:434 (4,5,6) - make (4) a NC because it follows the small clash in the cymbals, also replace the whistles for finishes. the whistles aren't loud enough to match the sound of the cymbals.
00:43:104 (6,7) - hmm these 2 sliders look completely different. make them look the same as the other for a smoother flow to the next few notes. i felt uncomfortable when i reached this because the slider shapes are completely different.
01:19:221 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - same as 00:02:328. since were near the end of the song, it wouldn't hurt to do a jump here and there so that it'd be fun and interesting for players. again if you ignore this, then you can do something similar to what i said.
01:23:881 (1,2,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,1,2,3,4,1,2) - see? you did it here so why don't you do it on the other patterns?

[Insane]
00:10:774 (6) - this 1/1 slider breaks the flow and pattern in following the piano. replace this for a circle followed by a 1/2 slider so that it'd follow the piano in the song, and the flow and pattern would continue through that.
00:15:726 (2,3) - instead moving it there, stack this on (2,4) at the previous combo. that way, it'd look neater and a bit easier to follow during gameplay.
00:18:493 (4) - align this to (5,3) so that it'd give off a possible jump for players to clear. ik that there's a jump if you stack this on (2), but if you do this, it'll give off a triangle jump for this combo if you try it out.
00:29:415 (5) - remove this note because it doesn't follow anything at all. you're focusing on the guitar for this part, not the bass.
00:34:949-00:38:735 - You should add a slowdown on this part because this part only focuses on vocals. there's nothing in the instrumental that's loud. the guitar being 1 of them. with the regular SV rate, the flow for this is completely gone and it made me feel uncomfortable on why is this sped up.
00:43:978-00:48:201 - ^
01:14:997 (4) - Maybe a NC because of new lyrics.

  1. Mythol you ignored my previous suggestions and you never told me why. I pointed them out for a reason.
  2. The SV in normal is extremely annoying and so not right for a normal. Even if it's 1.00, it's a 200+ bpm song and it feels so off. I highly suggest you lower it to .80 or .90 so it's much easier to play and even more enjoyable. (If I get any excuse along the lines of: "It's 200 bpm and I can't make it lower than 4 stars", that's not a good reason. With one look you can just tell the normal SV is ridiculous, and the star rating will decrease this way.)
  3. Sliders in the easy diff end on blue ticks. For beginner players, this will cause a lot of commotion and rage because it's so different from the rest of the map. Sure it fits, I'll tell you that, and you even silenced the end, but is this truly appropriate?

  2. Why are the kiai times in the standard difficulties so inconsistent? They really should be the same.
Difficulty modding
(Issues with each specific difficulty can be found here. They may have to do with flow, slider shapes, hitsounds, etc.)

  • Laurier's Easy
  1. 00:12:813 (2) - According to the whistle hitsound pattern you have going steady, a whistle shouldn't be at the beginning of this slider. Only at the end.
  2. 00:37:279 (4) - I don't see why you would mostly silence the end of this slider. There's audible vocals in the song at that point. You should raise the volume of it a bit.
  3. 00:46:599 (3) - Same concern as above.
  4. There's barely any hitsounds during the kiai times. Why is this?
  • Cilvery's Normal
  1. This is the only difficulty that doesn't have a spinner at the beginning of it. You should add one for consistency.
  2. This is also the only difficulty that uses soft hitsounds rather than normal at the beginning. Just pointing it out!
  3. 00:23:298 (2) - This slider has really sharp curves that make it not very good looking. I suggest doing something like this.
  4. 00:38:298 (6) - Same thing with this slider.
  5. 01:04:658 (9) - In normal difficulties, it's better that combos stay in the low numbers. 9 is too high in my opinion.
  6. 01:09:027 (9) - Same as above.
  7. 01:12:813 (3,5) - These slightly overlap. You should make it so that they don't because it's a bit ugly.

  2. 00:20:531 (2,4) - It would be in your interest to find a pattern where you can stack these two objects, based on how the drum sounds. Additionally, 00:18:201 (2,4) - is good, try to branch from there.
  3. 00:33:784 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - The degree of overlapping and the inconsistency in spacing makes it very hard to play, especially for a player with opaque or less transparent hitbursts. Additionally, combo pattern here doesn't make a lot of sense; (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) or (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) would make more sense.
  4. 00:40:629 (5) - If you flip this vertically, it flows better from (4), and allows you to create a more aesthetically pleasing pattern when you blanket (6).
  5. 00:44:706 (4,6) - What's in the music here that isn't at 00:45:871 - or 00:46:454 - (the empty spaces between 00:45:434 (1,2,3) - )?
  6. 00:57:959 (6,7,1) - Between this combo pattern and 01:07:425 (1,2,3) - , which is being mapped to the same music, which combo pattern are you going to be using? Try to pick a consistent pattern to use throughout the entire Kiai section; you have multiple instances of inconsistent combo patterns when it comes to a triple before a slider.
  7. 01:18:638 (1) - You may want to silence the slider tail at 01:18:930 - , since rhythm effectively falls to 0% volume at the end of "Daydream". Since sliderslide and slidertick both cannot be blank, I suggest a very low volume normal-sliderslide for the whole slider, and silencing the slider tick, and finally silencing the end of the slider, for full effect.
  8. 01:23:298 (1,2,3,4,1) - Knowing that 01:23:881 (1) - and onward is just copy and paste, you can work with the four earlier objects to fix up the spacing a little bit.
[Hard]
  1. 00:25:046 (5,6,1) - A 200% sv increase and some pretty large spacing makes this play really uncomfortably. Keep in mind, it's not only the spacing or the slider velocity that you've gotta fix here; both have to be changed.
  2. 00:43:687 (8,9) - Stacking here is not recommended. With the amount of speed and flow you have with 00:42:522 (3,4,5,6,7,8) - it's best if you turned this section into something more like 00:34:658 (4,5,1) - .
  3. 00:47:619 (3) - Ends a bit too late. Vocals stop at 00:48:056 - white. Additionally, 00:47:619 (3,4) - has a 2.40x spacing, which isn't that great in this context to change the pace.
  4. 00:58:104 - Perhaps you can add a circle here, so that 00:57:667 (6,7,8,1) - makes the melody in the Bass stand out.
  5. 01:06:988 (6) - Perhaps you can change this into two 1/2 sliders with 180 degree rotation, for the same reason as the above.

Beatmap Design/Arrangement

  1. Mod is based off of the use of 1.00 SV for the time being (though I hope you consider changing it!)
  2. 00:03:201 (2,3,4) - The repeats don't follow the guitar as you might have thought... try removing the repeats on (2) and (4) and using a 1/1 slider to replace (2), and a note to replace (4) (since the 1/1 doesn't fit here) like this.
  3. 00:08:153 (3) - This doesn't start on any form of sound, and it's completely random. Since (1) and (2) before it are following something, it makes (3) unpredictable. I'll give you an example of something that follows the piano straightforward: Part 1 ; Part 2. This will look better and play better with a lower SV o:
  4. 00:09:900 (4,5,1,2,3,4) - The contrasting density here is strange. Previously you were keeping consistent, but then you have a bunch of blanks which are very inconsistent with your previous mapping. With (1,2,3,4), try making a symmetrical pattern for better aesthetics, kind of like this maybe? Or try following the piano (like I said before, try following the piano more instead of making random patterns), like so. (00:12:813 (3) - follows nothing. The previous red tick would be appropriate to start patterns on, not the downbeat in this case)
  5. 00:13:396 (4) - 00:16:308 (1) - Insert break? It's better than leaving some drain time T T
  6. 00:16:599 (2) - Should end on the previous red tick to be consistent with the following patterns after and with the fall in the vocals. For aesthetic purposes, make sure this slider, 00:18:930 (1) and 00:21:260 (3) are consistent. I suggest copying 00:18:930 (1) and pasting it to replace the sliders I mentioned.
  7. 00:20:386 (2) - How about moving it so we can create better flow, like 00:16:308 (1,2,3)? Then you can move (3) around freely, like this. :3
  8. 00:21:260 (3) - Add a repeat to follow the rise in guitar (shown in previous example). It fits better instead of leaving an open break that can confuse new players ><
  9. 00:23:007 (1,2) - If you want to keep the double repeat slider, I suggest you try this but I think you should create a better looking slider with one repeat so you can be lenient with spacing :<

Personally, I believe the slowdowns should be eliminated from the normal, so it's less confusing. It's just a decrease in volume afterall, but it's up to you :3).
  13. 00:40:192 (2) - Short sliders in a normal are hard to play and very unfitting because of the difficulty it causes in reading and playing. I suggest you just accentuate the vocals here by just using a note where the short sliders would be, like this and this.
  14. 00:43:687 (4) - Since you've been following the vocals in this section, this repeat slider doesn't fit much :v It's much more fitting to use a 1/1 slider with a repeat, and the spacing still fits, like this. ^^
  15. 00:48:347 (1,2,3,4,5) - Same thing with the short sliders.
  16. 00:55:774 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Okay so, remove the short sliders because they are hard to play and read for new players (makes the map too dense), and replace it with a 2/1 slider like this so it fills the gap, timing, and sound of the previous sliders without disrupting flow. I guess the (5) seems fine since it's kiai but I would still suggest either merging (4) and (5) to make a 2/1 slider, or just making a 1/1 slider out of the repeat slider you have, something like this.
  17. 01:01:454 (4) - Just like before, I think you should try merging some sounds here. Not only does it make it easier to play, but it lowers the star difficulty using such long sliders. It starts on the rise of the vocals and still retains flow this way, so try something like this.

00:27:959 (3) - i'm feeling a soft finish here, but at the same time, add a timing point to reduce the volume of the finish because without it, it sounds too loud IMO.

00:37:279 (4) - i'm sorry but this is unrankable. silent notes are a no no in mapping. increase the volume to at least 20% to make it rankable.
00:46:599 (3) - ^
00:59:997 (4) - i'm feeling a finish at the end for emphasis in the vocals and guitar.
01:03:493 (3) - reduce this slider by 1/2 because that's where the vocals end, and there nothing but the hold in the guitar that follows that end.
