iaport's Modding History

Took a few days, but cut back on as many 1/2s as I could.
It might, but I don't want more than one repeat per slider in Easy/Normal diffs. However, I did change it to 2 1/2 sliders to match 00:20:545 (3,4)
Looks uglier now in my eyes, but fixed
Fixed both this one and another one later in the map
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/19298486/f8f8 When finished, the final pattern should look like this.
01:35:380 (1,2) - paste 01:27:632 (1,2) one final time, and mirror it. Move it so that 01:35:380 (1) stacks directly on 01:30:270 (2)
01:32:742 (1,2) - paste 01:27:632 (1,2) again, then move it so that 01:32:907 (2) stacks directly on 01:27:632 (1)
01:30:105 (1,2) - copy and paste 01:27:632 (1,2), then mirror it horizontally. Move both circles, making sure that 01:30:105 (1) at x330 y222
01:27:632 (1,2) - have 01:27:632 (1) at x223 y62 and 01:27:797 (2) at x330 y75
00:50:874 (2) - move this to where the slider would be if it continued, like this: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/19298477/ae44
00:49:061 (4) - rotate this as well
No break period should be placed after 01:35:545 (2), as the time between notes is different from the first 3 periods, and should be emphasized.
Let me expand on this a bit. 01:27:632 (1,2) and 01:32:742 (1,2) should move right, while 01:30:105 (1,2) and 01:35:380 (1,2) should move left. I'll outline some possible placements over the next couple replies.
00:45:210 (1,2) - same here
00:05:010 (1) - also needs to be a 1/3 slider
also maybe rotate 01:25:410 (1) clockwise a little bit, to emphasize the song's intensity
01:11:310 (2,3,4,2) - overlap (minor, you can ignore if you want)
This is a problem with all similar patterns in this kiai, either adjust their spacing slightly according to the music, or keep them uniform.
00:59:610 (2,1) - overlap
01:33:810 (1) - same thing here
00:08:910 (3) - This can stay where it is.
00:07:110 (4) - I'd also stack this on top of 00:07:410 (5)
Was unsure whether this was too strenuous when mapping it, fixed
For the most part I agree, however, for the last section, I kept it as is because I feel that the song still holds intensity during this part (aside from the very end, which did warrant a 2/1 )
Lastly, move 00:07:550 (2) to x307y91
00:06:516 (1) - also move this to x45y106, rotating 4 degrees
01:19:274 (3,4) - stack this in the same spot
Also move 00:11:516 (1) to about x143y315
My reasoning for doing this in the first section was to make it more consistent with the later sections (even though it actually fit the music poorly). Fixed from 00:07:590 - 00:14:863, but the 2nd section stays, as I feel that the main beat fading in gets priority.
Fixed
Done, also NC'd twice in the "la-la-la-la-la-la-la's," on the 1st and 3rd "la's," as it looks more natural
01:58:045 (4,5) While it would be a great way to end off the song, I just don't hear the sound I used on the 2 doublebacks.
01:46:681 (1,2) and 01:53:954 (1,2) don't feel impactful enough to warrant the doublebacks. The other 2 spaces do however, as they also fit neatly with part of the song.
Fixed, most are spaced triples, though 2 remain as doublebacks (reverse triples) as I feel they fit the song better than a simple spaced triple
Fixed
While I believe that the triplet would work best, a slider into another circle works very well too
Fixed both
Done to both
Some of these are connected to sounds in the song, removed the ones that are actually overmapped
Actually, I found that just CTRL+G on 00:43:045 (4) removes the need for that complicated NC system I set up
I don't see them as all over the place, mostly changing after the 1/4 sliders or on large white ticks. However, I decided to have 2 NCs per 4/1 measure, one on the first beat, the other on the 4th. 00:43:499 (1) not being NC'd looks incredibly off, so I kept it, and for consistency's sake I kept up the pattern (aside from a few needed exceptions of course, that being the last measure or so.
For the first issue, I don't think spacing 00:25:772 (1) fits with the more flowy style I'm going for. I lowered the spacing on 00:25:062 (1,2,3) though. As for the second issue, it sounds closer to 1/16 for me, so I'm not certain it should be changed, but I'll change it for now.
