ar10 makes the player's movement on a map more determinate due to the decrease in an object's visible time. it forces the player to process the map at a much more "present" moment in time: making changes in patterning (object placement and rhythm) feel much more impactful. followpoint design becomes important as the player will begin to rely on them for reading (especially on longer gaps) - you can further subvert this by deliberate use of NCs
