I took them from Mir's mapset with Mir's permission, but I changed the samples and made them fit my mapset. Also I took an idea and keysound from Vicodeine's mapset (I took countdown hitsound from you).
This song takes me back to the early days of osu!, when I first dipped my toes into the rhythm game world. Picture this: it's 2021, I've just created my osu! account on a borrowed PC, my uncle's, mind you. It's a lazy afternoon in March, and my grandma's glued to a Turkish soap opera on the TV in the living room. I start playing, tapping away while catchy beats fill the room, unaware that this game will soon become a part of my life's soundtrack. Fast forward a bit – it's been a year, and I stumble upon badeu's osu! videos on this YouTube channel, something like that (it might have vanished into the digital abyss, or not). Wait, isn't that phrase from Star Fox 64? Peppy was the one who said it, right? Classic gaming references blending in with my osu! journey. Suddenly, I'm pulled back into osu! – this time not just for the catchy tunes, but also for the gameplay diversity. I dabble in modes like Catch the Beat and Taiko, seeking the rhythm in different forms. Eventually, Geometry Dash catches my eye, though I play it on BlueStacks because, well, who doesn't love some challenge via input lag? I like challenging myself so who cares. Time passes, and I eventually return to osu!, reigniting my passion for rhythm-based gameplay. I remember beating Necropolis, back when it was a top-tier demon. And then there's that unforgettable moment when Zobros, or whatever his name became, nails that i forgot the name thing Extra map. That's when I truly realize the depth and community of osu!. The years fly by, and osu! evolves. There's the era of "farm" maps, im not talking about this one. Soon, I'm riding high on improvement, a burgeoning ego in tow. But just as I'm about to float away on a cloud of self-confidence, a Romanian player bursts my bubble with some cheating accusations. A tough pill to swallow, but a necessary one to keep me grounded. And just like that, I shed the old name, embrace the new, and carry on my osu! adventure. the game becomes more than just tapping keys; it's about mastering intricate aim patterns, showing off on Twitch with short yet fiendishly tough segments. But streaming? Well, that's another tale entirely. So here's to osu!, to the journey of rhythm, nostalgia, growth, and friendships that flourish across screens and time zones.
90% of the time it was just sitting there. I was just opening the map once a week and changing like a 1 pattern until I almost remapped everything. Initially it took me 2 weeks to map the whole thing but it was just not very good.
I mean if you go and map Feelin Sky (Camellia's "200step" Self-remix) then what do you expect? It has such a big status as a turning point in the mapping meta that you can't avoid being compared. In my honest opinion there are songs that are tied to such grand maps that they should be given a status where they are not allowed to be ranked if mapped by someone else (Feelin Sky (Camellia's "200step" Self-remix) being one of them). That being said I haven't looked at the map so I have no opinion on it, because the quality of the map is irrelevant in this matter. This is about preserving history of osu! and therefore I hope that this doesn't become a trend in the future.
