Okay, whatever. I FC'd, I FC'd. That's all what matters. I actually increased acc so that's still fine. You know what, thats still fine. Dude. I.. I blundered the whole stream. I saw that i was understreaming or i saw that i was overstreaming so i... I saw the to... Sorry, i saw i was understreaming so i overstreamed and then i understreamed. No, sorry. I saw i was overstreaming so i streamed slower and then i over and then i understreamed by accident. Because i was overstre... I don't know. You know, you get what i mean...

It's alright. I still wish people would do something cool with their song instead of making intentionally janky maps to idolize old mapping. It's the same thing with every ranked version of JOINT STRUGGLE.
I am very disappointed that this map was not allowed to be ranked with the original OD9.9. It is concerning for the future of accuracy maps that so many people have the opinion that when a map is significantly harder to acc than it is to aim, it is inherently not fun nor well made. At least OD9.1 was allowed instead of the mapper being forced to go down to OD8 or lower.
i think like 1 person in the thread wanted od8 lmao
the fact of the matter is that this is a low extra with very simple rhythms. most of the complex rhythms were left passive (repeat sliders) or just ignored. od9.9 just simply doesn't fit that, and there really was no proper justification for it outside of "i want od9.9", "i want it to be an acc map", "it's an extra so i can do what i want". by the same logic, you may as well make every extra diff ar0, od10, hp10, cs7 because it's what you want, and it has to be ranked like that because it's an extra. it's absurd logic that completely defies the point of the ranked section, which is maps that have gone through an objective and subjective quality check in order to ensure that they are good enough to be 'official' content of osu!.
you seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of difficulty settings: they have to be justified. you don't just pick something randomly and go with it. granted this isn't thought about often, because most people will choose the same difficulty settings, but if you're making a map based on out-of-the-norm diff settings, it NEEDS to reflect that. this map did not (with OD, it did with AR and CS based on visuals and patterns respectively) because the potentially dense and difficult rhythms were mainly ignored. even if it had mapped the song to its absolute fullest rhythmic potential, od9.9 would still be extreme because of the tempo of this song is just simply too slow.
tl;dr: maps need to justify their use of difficulty settings, especially when out of the norm, and in the case of OD here, it did not
I can't understand the logic that high OD is only ok with complex rhythms. If you want something to be difficult to acc, which is the point of high OD in general, the more complex the rhythms are, the less the OD needs to be for the map to still be hard to acc. If the rhythms are simple, then the OD needs to be high if you want the map to not be easy to SS. Over the years, I've heard many many people complaining about other maps' ODs being too high considering their complex rhythms and timings because it makes those maps "unplayable," which I typically disagree with in most specific cases, but I have never once heard the opposite until I read the modding page of this mapset. From a player's perspective, it makes no sense. From a mapping perspective, if it was such a big "quality" issue to have high OD with simple rhythms, then most of the modern 5+ star maps with OD9+ should not have been ranked.
