I want to make a beatmap, but the problem is the video starts as soon as the first bit of audio is played.
I tried adjusting the timing but it just ruined the video and kept on going back and forth with the video (2 were playing at the same time though I removed the other timing point.) And changing the video offset did nothing! Please help. :cry: :cry: :cry:

osu! version: Stable-20190123

You have to open the .osu file in notepad. And under "Events" you will see the video name and a number zero. That's the offset for the video. Put the correct time (in miliseconds), save and close the osu editor to see the changes.

This is all there is:
[Events]
//Background and Video events
//Break Periods
//Storyboard Layer 0 (Background)
//Storyboard Layer 1 (Fail)
//Storyboard Layer 2 (Pass)
//Storyboard Layer 3 (Foreground)
//Storyboard Sound Samples

Nothing else.

You have to put the background video from the osu editor first, save and exit. Or you can do it manually like this.
Click here
[Events]
//Background and video events
Video,0,"video name.mp4"

That zero is the video offset. The video must be in the beatmap folder.
