This problem was resolved before for me by turning on compatibility mode on and now the problem is back (it just opens up osu then takes me back to my desktop scren)
Check your task manager, make sure you don't have any programs running that might be causing it, someone had a similar problem and fixed it by closing Firefox, also check your antivirus if you have something like a gaming mode enabled or anything of that sort make sure to disable it.
