DT isn't for normies, okay? It represents an integral part of our progression that can only be expressed in the form of excessive pp farming. It can make you a better player with as little as four plays, and it can empower people with skill they’ve never felt before. DT isn't and will never be cancer as long as players play and appreciate the mod. Do you think the mod ever ruined improvement? Just like matter, skill can neither be created or destroyed. Skill exists in us as an intelligent species, and we will never let it die lest we lose ourselves to the darkness. DT can be thought of as skill in its purest elemental form, created by our fundamental instincts that have evolved after millions of years of life and death. We as intellectuals provide DT with the pedestal of honor it deserve, and I expect you to do the same.johnmedina999 wrote:

DT creates a new map from an existing one. This new map was probably not thought of when the mapper created the map, and therefore specific values such as the amount of time between two notes and the effect of speeding up complex patterns aren't taken into account; ergo, this new map created by DT was never meant to be played. Speeding the map up just artificially bumps up the star rating and true difficulty, so it's not making you any better in any aspect of the game except speed (leaving behind the attributes of aim, reading, etc.). Plus, the song in questions sounds horrible in DT due to the song being sped up. In short, DT sucks.
