My first beatmap ever made.

Hello . For your quick mod


Ok first thing I noticed is that the hitcircles don't correspond to the song . I'm not sure if the BPM and Offset are set correctly or not , that you'll have to ask others as I'm a newbie mapper myself. That said, here are some general tips for you

Normal
---------
00:16:750 - The spinner ending here doesn't give me much room for repositioning to hit this hitcircle 00:17:125 (1) - . On Normal and Easy maps try to allow sufficient time to reposition the cursor to hit the next hitcircle. Ending it at 00:16:000 - would be a better idea.

Try not to start/end your sliders or put hitcircles on blue ticks in the timeline, it will sound a little out of tune. 00:00:375 (1) - This is an example of a hitcircle that falls on a blue tick .

Hard
------
00:18:875 (2) - Once again, blue ticks. Also the part from here to 00:21:875 (9) - overlaps pretty badly, such that people might have a hard time seeing where the next hitcircle is. A good way to guide you would be to turn on Distance Snap, which is one of the icons on the right side of your screen. Hold down ALT and you will see the " Beat Snap Divisior " Bar on the top right of your screen change to " Distance Spacing " . Ideally if you are a newbie mapper you should turn this on all the time. I'd say adjust it such that the Distance Snap is 1.0X for now.

General Tips
---------------
For Normal mode try to use more sliders . Experiment with them and see what shapes you create. The balance of sliders and hitcircles is very important in mapping.
Try to use hitsounds. Hitsounds accompany the song and as quoted from the wiki ," Hitsounds are used to provide an auditory feedback mechanism to the player to help them judge their timing" . But putting too much can cause irritation and frustration so you have to find the right balance.

This map still needs work but don't give up , everyone has their first time :)
Btw, before you take my tips maybe you should get someone to try and determine if the BPM and Offset of your map are correct . If these are wrong, then you'll have problems from the start . Take Care!

Random mod here.

General
I'll be honest. There is pretty much everything possible wrong with the mapset.

First of all, BPM is 174 and offset 215 (quick check, so these might need some tweaking later on). BPM = Beats Per Minute = rhythm / tempo of the song. It must the same for all diffs (currently TAG4 has 100, others 120). Offset is the point where the first main beat of the song starts.

Open AiMod from File -> Open AiMod or CTRL + SHIFT + A. There shouldn't be any errors there, if the map is done properly (except for a few distance snap errors in Hard+ diffs).

Check Ranking Criteria from osu! wiki to see all the basic rules for mapping.
Check Youtube and/or osu! forums for mapping guides.
TAG difficulties haven't been allowed for years. So if you are going for ranked, remove those.
Please DO NOT try to make maps that you can't play yourself at all.
You are using way too many circles. Replace most of them with sliders.
You have to use distance snap 100% of the time in Easy and Normal diffs, and most of the time in others.
Set a preview point. It is the point, from where the music starts playing when you select it on osu! do it from upper toolbar -> Timing -> "Set Current Position as Preview Point" (has to be the same for all diffs).
Use Slider Tick Rate 1 on all diffs, please.

Since you are new to mapping I'll remind you of kudosu system.
Remember to give kudosu to all helpfull mod posts on your mapset's thread. That way your mapset's star rating goes up -> it goes up in the map list -> more likely to get attention. But DO NOT give kudosu to same person twice (in one thread), unless the map has drastically changed between mod posts.

Combos are a little too long.

Delete or remap as another single player diff.

Insane
Way too long combos, weird patterns, nothing goes along the rhythm, too many repeats on slider 00:34:375 (40) , too low slider velocity, not enough sliders...

Can't really mod any more, since timing and distance snap are a complete mess. Remap everything and try again. And remember, everyones first maps look really bad, so don't give up. Good luck.

After replay the map i've noticed that. Thank you for reminding me A good way to guide you would be to turn on Distance Snap, which is one of the icons on the right side of your screen. I think those sliders are too fast for easy difficulty, try lowering Slider Velocity to like 0.8.
In Timing Setup remove Inherited Point. It doesn't even change anything.

[Normal]
Boring difficulty... Try adding more circles. It has to be Normal, not Easy+ ;)

Good map man ;), just some minor problems mostly with the rhythm. If you're a fellow GDer like me, you should remember when the first level with this music was deemed one of the hardest levels in the game. It is ironic that you only used easy and normal for this map :lol:

00:17:456 (1) - I would move it to earlier if you follow the next tip
00:18:841 - Why insert a break there? Instead maybe add more sliders and hit circles
00:29:180 (6) - Why is there a slider with reverse arrow just there? If you add it there then add more sliders with reverse arrows to points with the same rhythmical pattern like for example 00:26:421 (4) instead of the hit circle
00:37:456 (4) - I would decrease the slider velocity here or shorten the slider to fit the rhythm
00:40:962 - I would add an additional hit circle here to fit the pattern of the 2 hit circles before
00:49:870 (5) -Just like before I would decrease the slider velocity here or shorten the slider
00:59:180 (1) - That spinner seemed random because there was no other spinner on the other similar points in the song even though it is the end of the map. Maybe add some hit circles or sliders to finish the map fittingly

00:11:249 (1) - Just like in easy, that spinner seems too long and random. Maybe you can add a spinner from 00:17:456 (1,1,2,3,4) instead of the objects there
00:17:801 (1) - If you didn't follow the tip above for this point then I would add two small sliders fitting to the rhythm because that reverse slider seems out of rhythm
00:27:456 (3) - I would make this a reverse slider so that it fits the rhythm more
00:46:077 (2) - There are other patterns like this, for example 00:29:180 (4,5,6) -where (5) isn't a reversed slider. Why is there suddenly a reversed slider in that pattern? (I hope you know what I mean ;) )
00:51:939 (2,3) - These sliders seem badly overlapped. Space them out more or make the sliders more visible

  • 00:11:249 (1) - this is too long considering that there are alot of beats, maybe you can use 1/1 sliders instead of a spinner
    00:37:456 (4,1) - avoid doing this on any diffs its confusing considering its easy and the AR is slow
    00:49:870 (5,6) - Same as above
    00:59:180 (1) - make this a slider/circle
