Hello!

This is the forum thread for the self made Representative Osu CTB Championship 2015. This forum will be used to show updates and inform players about the lastest updates from the tournament. 

For all information I can give you right now please read the added document. If you have any questions that others might also have, please post them on this forum and I’ll answer them here, so that they won’t be asked again.

The last 24 hours to sign up have started now. What will happen after this day? You might wonder.

Firstly I will invite all the #2 players from the countries that have either declined, ignored or missed the message. Hopefully we'll reach a numer of around 20 players or more with those invites. These invites will also once again last 3 days. After those 3 days it should be the 11th of August and I will immediately make the match ups (which will be completely random).

The first stage of the tournament will be a group stage. 4 players in each group, 2 will advance from each one. There is only one problem with this: different time zones. To negate that problem I will either make a paper sheet with times which each player has to fill in or I will simply ask if a given time is okay via pm and see if that will work out. (I will be able to see those matches throughout the entire weekend except for when I am asleep of course, that won't cause a problem).

Anyway, thanks again for all the interest guys and I'll promise this tournament will work out. (The only thing left to do is to pray to our lord and saviour peppy and ask him some potential rewards for winners.)

Hey guys i'm Otakujasmijn another tourney host!

SartanDark told me that he can't go onto the internet until the 10th, so he asked me to post the roster down below:

Sartan will invite the #2 players of all the countries on the 10th to the 12th of August to fill up the roster a little more. Then on the 13th of August he will immediately make the match-ups and the times that they'll be played, so that the tournament will start on the 15th of August with everyone informed and ready. In the meantime of his abscence please contact me with any question and I will pass them on to Sartan as soon as I can.

For all the newly invited people: The #1 of your country did not accept the invite, that's why you were invited in his/her place. So don't worry about that! All player's names that have been written in red or black in the first document have not accepted the invite. Just saying this to clear up any confusion about it.

Back home again after doing too much Rocket League with a friend of mine. Today is the final day for accepting your invite!

So far we gathered 30 players, which looks really promising!

Today I will make the beatmap pool for the group stage. These beatmaps will however sadly, for you players, be kept secret. These beatmaps will probably be between 4.5-9 stars or so.

Ok guys, as promised the invitations have come to an end and the players are set. The previous dropbox account is still valid as nobody joined anymore after that time. I will now start making the group-pools and upload them in a document and in a video. Cya soon!

Before we take off tomorrow here is the final thing you need to know about how we will play the group stage:

The roster of matches that will be played is online right now as you all probably saw. I think that 20 minutes will be enough for each match. I will invite you a little bit before the match will start so you can join, chat a bit with your opponent and prepare. When the game starts both you and your opponent will first be asked to roll a dice for a warm up map. The winner of the dice roll gets to choose the map. There will only be 1 warm up map.

After the warm up is done I or any other host will start picking the beatmaps from the beatmap folder I made. There is a total of 15 beatmaps that can be played which will stay secret from you players. These will be randomly chosen with f2. To make these matches fit within 20 minutes we will play best out of 3 with each match. The top 2 players from each group will advance to the next round, so that there will be 16 players left.

If any match takes longer than 20 minutes I will notify the other players, may this be the case then please stay calm and patient, your match will be played eventually. I know that we don't have a lot of leeway with only 20 minutes for each match, but we don't have many hosts and if everything goes smoothly we will never be short on time.

You will be participating 1v1 next weekend. The draws and beatmap pool will be up tomorrow on the forum.

I am not gonna do these secret beatmappools again as some players (I won't say names) sadly had to ruin the experience by spoiling the beatmaps. Now I did monitor every single one of you these 2 days, when you came online and what you played throughout the day, but I do not believe that the results of these matches were ruined because of it. Everyone had to download at least one beatmap and the majority of players played fairly, I know that. But from now on the beatmaps will not be kept secret or partly secret. They will be posted tomorrow and you can train them as much as you like.

But that won't set back the tournament. The battle who's country's representative catches the most fruit still continiues!

I had a lot of fun hosting the matches this weekend and I thank all of you for the great experience so far! Even if you did not advance to the next round, I had a blast seeing you play, thanks for participating!
