MarathonBefore I start with the mods, the map is 7.65 stars prior to this mod. It is aimed for the top players in the game and it is meant to be hard.
02:57:818 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - Oh dear, these jumps are very hard to read. Avoid jumps like these in the future because the person that is playing may have trouble trying to stream and read these jumps since they over lap each other. I made this intentionally hard to read to provide a sufficient challenge for a player.
02:56:168 - Just a suggestion, add a green offset so that the slider velocity could be .75 then make a slider up to 02:56:918 - then place a green offset there to make the beat normal again. I think that is just for fun, you do not have to actually do it. This was a nice suggestion, however I do prefer spinners over long sliders,
06:51:743 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - This is a very irregular beat, the hit circles sounds go back and fourth which does not sound pleasant at all. The hit circles match the drum pattern in the song that plays in this section, so I thought I would match it. Originally, I had 1/1 semi-overlapped beats, but I prefer this.
06:57:818 (9,10,11) - Do not overlap these, they look very awkward and are hard for the player to read. I agree that this is quite awkward. However, I will not change this pattern. Players that actually get this far should be fine with this pattern.
06:58:268 (12,13,14,15) - Might as well combo break because that is just too hard for any player to play, I would suggest spreading them out more. I didn't actually have this section on my version of the map, so I have no idea what you have selected (sorry). I did put a combo break after the awkward pattern mentioned above, though.
07:10:118 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - These streams look very unorganized, do not put spaces in them and try to curve them. I didn't change the fact that the stream curves. However, I did manage to find a note that was snapped at a different spacing to the others (circle 3 in that section). It looks much better and more organised now with this correction.
06:53:918 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - NEVER EVER DO STREAMS LIKE THIS. Players find it extremely annoying and hard to play streams that go up and down directly like this. It probably is annoying, but the difficulty will stick.
06:28:118 (6,7,8,9,10,11) - These sliders are off beat and get very repetitive. Spread them out more This is quite repetitive after looking at it 5 times in a row. I don't think I have a solution for this, and spacing them out more would just get messy. It is a nice break from the spaced triple that leads in to the sliders.
06:30:218 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - These hit circles just simply sound incorrect. The positioning of them is also very hard to read. It follows the drum pattern that plays there and the positioning was intentional.
00:55:718 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20) - Do not put any pauses in the streams. They sound off beat if you do that, also, just make it a simple stream do not try to add any tricks to it. This used to be a solid, stream before I reworked this map. The pauses highlight the note changes in the guitar lead, while the stream follows the drum beat.
01:00:518 (9,1) - Do not make streams like that, just make it curved I was just having fun here. I'll make this curve round.
01:02:468 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This is very hard for the player to read. Do not make jumps like this. Intentionally hard to read. I will keep this section like this.
01:14:468 (2,3,4) - Sliders that overlap just get annoying to play from time to time, avoid overlapping sliders. This one follows the guitar that is mapped here. Both the guitar notes here sound exactly the same, hence the overlapping sliders here and in the later sections in this section of the song.
01:21:818 (3,4,5) - That part is waaaay to hard to read. Just make it simple and do not try to add jumps. I didn't have any problem reading this. I will keep this triple here.
01:27:743 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,1) - These are unorganized streams. Please fix them. There was a pattern to these. However, I have made this a solid stream and I have added a combo break when it starts to change direction.
01:43:118 (1,2,3,4,5) - This is hard to read Yes, it is.
01:50:618 (1,2,3) - Do not make these spaced These are spaced so that they correspond to the sliders and circles that precede them.
01:59:093 (2,3,4,5) - Combo four is too far away from the others and it is hard to read. Avoiding doing other jumps like these. 4 is closer to 3 than 5 to 4. The reason why I put 5 there was to make it look like a 2, 3 and 5 look like a triple.
02:00:668 (8,9,10,11) - Hard to read and just plain difficult to play It is much easier to read than my previous solution here of a slider and hidden circles. However, it is more difficult to play.
02:02:018 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3) - Gets too repetitive, position them differently The position is repetitive, but it does play differently when going back and forth.
02:05:918 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - Overmapped streams. I would have considered this if you had not linked the whole deathstream. Maybe if you mentioned just the first 32, I would have changed it. The first 32 follow the drum patterns and the rest of the stream follows the fast guitar.
05:19:718 (1,2) - Change this into one long slider It won't match the stream patterns before these sliders without slider velocity changes, which in turn would mess the whole idea of horizontal reflection.
07:39:518 (3,4,5,6,7) - Too far apart Definitely intentional. This is to differentiate between those that are still prepared the play the map to the very end and those who are amazed that they are so close to the very end.
