- Visual update to difficulties: Easy, Normal
jossieP
Hihi, for the record: I'm a 2012 school mapper/modder and I'm not very used to this new mapping style yet, keep in mind this I may not be helpful.
With that said, lets do this

[Mapset]
  1. Ranking Criteria wrote:

A mapset cannot have just one Taiko or osu!mania difficulty.
You need a Muzukashii taiko diff!

[Insane]
  1. 00:01:627 (2) - I wish you can follow most of my hitsound suggestions, that was my main to-mod thing, add a whistle here, the bell sound here is higher than the first note
  2. 00:02:938 (3) - whistle on the end of the slider
  3. 00:03:922 (4) - whistle on the start of the slider
  4. 00:04:906 (5) - and a whistle here, is just to follow the bell sounds
  5. 00:05:561 (1) - finish on the start maybe, with the finish on the end of 00:08:512 (6) - it may set the start and end of the first vocals
  6. 00:15:889 (13) - I don't really see the point of the slowdowns on these parts, I would prefer to have longer sliders and make some good shapes here, you will keep the slowdowns for sure, so why not add a new combo here, so the players will know there are something different about these sliders since you have a lot of high jumps on the previous circles; the visible tick is not very helpful since we haven't seen a simmilar lenght slider on the map yet. Same goes for 00:17:201 (4) , 00:18:512 (6) ~ etc.
  7. 00:25:070 (12) - move it closer to (11)?, ok I know that nowadays players are hardcore and all, but I wish there can be some concistance with the previous jumps, set this to 2,30x distance away from (11), so they will be the same distance from (9) to (10).
  8. 00:25:725 (1,1) - Add whistles? the piano here have lower sounds on the first 2 and it sounds empty here, try adding them please
  9. 00:29:004 (6) - ok the spacing here is just random, why not make it 1,44x as 00:28:676 (4) - you will have a nice squared pattenr if so
  10. 00:35:725 (1,1) - whistle maybe also for 00:36:217 (1,1) -
  11. 00:40:234 (3) - there is nothing here, no sound, no vocal so why not remove it?
  12. 00:47:201 (5) - a finish will sound good with the "nyaa"
  13. 01:10:479 - why not add some crazy jumps here, you are overmapping anyways ok now some hitsounding edit for the kiai, hope you like it:
  14. 01:04:414 (1,2,3) - whistles for the start of these sliders
  15. 01:05:725 (6) - whistle on the end of this slider and 01:05:725 (6) -
  16. 01:07:365 (6,7) - whistles for these 2
  17. 01:08:512 (1) - whistle on the end of this slider and 01:08:840 (2) -
  18. 01:09:660 (7) - slider to start/repeat/end of this slider, the whistle on slider body doesn't sounds well
  19. 01:12:283 (1,2) - you may have noticed the whistleing pattern already, whistle on end of (1) and whistle on (2)
  20. 01:13:594 (1,2) - ^
  21. 01:14:906 (7) - whistle to start/repeat/end
  22. 01:20:479 (2,3,4,6,7) - change the soundset for these circles for soft, sounds better with the off-vocal
  23. 01:21:627 (1) - and a soft finish on the start of this sounds good with the start of the vocal again
  24. 01:23:594 (1,3) - Im not really sure about this, but adding a whistle at the end of these and 01:25:070 (7) - make this part a bit more enjoyable
I will not mess up with your spacing since all seems random here...

[Hard]
  1. 00:01:627 (2,4,5) - whistles plz~ 00:04:906 (7) - and one more here on the start
  2. 00:14:742 (1,3) - whistles here, you added some on 00:12:119 ~ so we have a pattern
  3. 00:19:824 (2,3,4,5) - whistles~
  4. 00:25:725 (1,1) - whistles for higher piano notes as on [Insane]
  5. 00:30:315 Missing a vocal, why?
  6. 00:36:053 (3) - clap, and maybe add 2 circles on 00:36:545 and 00:36:709 with a clap on the last one, I know you are trying to follow the vocals here, but this makes more sense for me, try it please
  7. 00:44:250 (3) - okay with the intention of follow the vocals on a better way add a repeat here, 00:44:906 (2) - pull this to 00:44:742, and add a circle on 00:45:234
  8. 00:46:217 (1,2,3,4,5) - uh normal soundset fits better with the drums! also, adding a circle on 00:47:201 with soft soundset with a finish will make the nyaa sounds very nice
  9. 01:06:217 (1) - space it more from prev and next? it just looks weird since the song doesnt have any slowdown here

[Normal]
Ok, here is the deal i prefer easiest diffs to have the same distance snap on the whole mapset, why? cuz new players dont know about jumps or distance changes yet
  1. Im asuming that hitsounds are not done yet, 2/1 clapping would be enough
  2. 00:02:938 (3,4) - a bit tricky for a [Normal] diff, why not make a long slider from 00:02:938 to 00:03:430 and add a repeat to it
  3. 00:10:807 (2) - maybe add a new combo? the time between previous note is really large
  4. 00:19:824 (1,1,1,1) - make this one single combo, there is no point for it, I mean no crazy patterns previously, this just may confuse the newbies
  5. 00:48:184 (2) - move the end closer to next object, the distance may be confusing, or make them like 00:18:020 (2,3) - (more curvy)
  6. 00:50:807 (2,3) - ^

[Easy]
Same about the distance, I prefer them concistant and not random on easiest diffs, and nothing else to say here

Bonus:
[Taiko Oni]
  1. 00:00:316 (1,2) - swap claps, the bell on (1) is lower than (2)
  2. 00:34:414 (160) - move it to next red tick? there is no vocal here and sounds better with the next pattern
  3. 00:48:840 (238) - move it to next red tick, you will have a nice duplet that goes well with the vocals
  4. 00:51:463 (247) - move it to previous red tick and add a don on 00:51:627
  5. 00:59:168 spinner?
  6. 01:00:479 ~ lol I was expecting a lot of overmap incoming
  7. 01:23:758 - try this ddk d k ddk d kdddkdddk
You still need a Muzukashii~

That is all for me, gl~

Thanks for the mod! I fixed most of the things you pointed out and a Muzukashii will be mapped. I can agree that my insane difficulty got a little... out of hand. Not sure what my mindset was but I appreciate that you pointed it out! Giving kudosou. ;)

Easy
Hp -1.
00:32:447 (1) - Flows better like this. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/2157073 Just a little little bit more straight.
01:00:643 (1) - I don't know why, but I think it doesn't completely fit the song.
01:21:627 (1) - Same y as this 01:20:971 (5) -
Normal
00:13:430 (1) - Move it a little bit to the left, or flow will be bad in that part. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/2157116
00:19:824 (1,1,1,1) - Stop doing this change of combo. They're not funny, or even cute or whatever.
00:49:496 (5) - Spacing!? https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/File:Beatspacing.jpg
So, please. http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/2157127

You can deny these suggests, but it will be hard to get this ranked with that weird spacing.

Insane
00:15:889 (1) - This slow slider confused me.
00:17:201 (1) - ^. Unplayable. And why is that full combo?
00:17:856 - I really can't hear a triplet here.
00:18:512 (1) - ^
00:24:660 - Drum preset here, and make those sliders all claps.
00:35:725 (1,1,1,1) - Why are these new combos?
01:00:152 (2) - More close to that 1. It's bad as your way 'cause you have a long distance between 1 and 2, but a shorter one between 3 and 4. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/2157104
00:52:119 (8) - Farther from 7, or it's just weird spacing.

Hope this helped. And sorry if I've been too stern.

Saw the update. Great!^^
JudgeTheDude
Hiho ~

Please excuse the huge pictures, but Puush wasn't working when I modded, so I had to deal with Osu's screenshots ;-;

[General]
Please shape your sliders properly. Not that they aren't cool, but the points defining them are not right places. For example :

[Easy]
Lots of Sliders to restyle. You have an example below, but you should check them all, please.

  1. 01:09:168 (3) - This note feels very weird, it's too close from the previous
  2. 00:36:381 (4) - The patterns feels weird after this note (spacing is not consistent), here is what I can suggest you :
  3. (00:38:348 (2,3,4) - I moved them in a group, so you can try grouping and only move (2) to its coordinates)
    1. 00:36:381 (4) - x:176 y:160
    2. 00:37:037 (1) - x:200 y:280
    3. 00:38:348 (2) - x:376 y:200
    4. 00:40:315 (3) - x:256 y:184
    5. 00:40:971 (4) - x:160 y:112
  4. 01:04:578 (3) - I tried to re-shape it since it had a bad unconsistency and wasn't really round :
    1. 1 - x:288 y:120
    2. 2 - x:200 y:168
    3. 3 - x:213 y:267
[Normal]
Same remark for the Sliders as above.

  1. 00:10:807 (2) - New Combo
  2. 00:31:135 (5,6,7) - IMO, these hidden notes are too hard for a Normal map, they're usually slightly visible. I would go for something like :
    1. 00:31:135 (5) -
      1. x:272 y:232
      2. x:264 y:285
      3. x:224 y:320
    2. 00:31:627 (6) - x:184 y:320
    3. 00:31:791 (7) -
      1. x:136 y:320
      2. x:99 y:285
      3. x:92 y:234
  3. 00:41:627 (4) - Replace these notes by this
  4. 00:48:184 (2) - This note is too close from the previous, or too far from the next, it feels weird to play the pattern. But I didn't find a way to fix it.
  5. 00:50:807 (2) - Same here
[Hard]
  1. 00:16:545 - It feels empty, why not adding a note ?
  2. 00:22:447 (1,2,3) - I've never seen such a huge jump in a Hard before

Imo, you can "delete" the video from the .osu, they are not very useful in a Taiko map, since we don't see much of it, and it causes useless lag on older PCs

  1. 00:03:430 (4) - a k sounds better
  2. 00:03:922 (5) - k
  3. 00:04:250 (6) - d
  4. 00:37:856 (143) - k
  5. 00:49:824 - Adding a k fits great imo
  6. 00:52:447 - Either a k or K here, fit great too with the "ding" sound
  7. 01:18:184 - This blank space feels weird, according to the music, I think a d would be great here, suiting the pattern

I think you should primarily focus on ficing the Sliders. it will be easier for you to modify them after, and it will be more readable for modders.
The overall mapping is good. Great patterns and good hitsounds, but you tend, imo, to not focus on the Spacing, and that leads in some strange jumps or antijumps (mostly in the Normal diff).
Apart from this, that was pretty fun to play/mod. Here you go with a Kudosu ^^

Please shape your sliders properly. Not that they aren't cool, but the points defining them are not right places. For example :

[Easy]
Lots of Sliders to restyle. You have an example below, but you should check them all, please.

  1. 01:09:168 (3) - This note feels very weird, it's too close from the previous fixed
  2. 00:36:381 (4) - The patterns feels weird after this note (spacing is not consistent), here is what I can suggest you :
  3. (00:38:348 (2,3,4) - I moved them in a group, so you can try grouping and only move (2) to its coordinates)
    1. 00:36:381 (4) - x:176 y:160 fixed
    2. 00:37:037 (1) - x:200 y:280 fixed
    3. 00:38:348 (2) - x:376 y:200 fixed
    4. 00:40:315 (3) - x:256 y:184 fixed
    5. 00:40:971 (4) - x:160 y:112 fixed
  4. 01:04:578 (3) - I tried to re-shape it since it had a bad unconsistency and wasn't really round :
    1. 1 - x:288 y:120
    2. 2 - x:200 y:168
    3. 3 - x:213 y:267 fixed
[Normal]
Same remark for the Sliders as above. fixed

  1. 00:10:807 (2) - New Combo fixed
  2. 00:31:135 (5,6,7) - IMO, these hidden notes are too hard for a Normal map, they're usually slightly visible. I would go for something like :
    1. 00:31:135 (5) -
      1. x:272 y:232
      2. x:264 y:285
      3. x:224 y:320 fixed
    2. 00:31:627 (6) - x:184 y:320 fixed
    3. 00:31:791 (7) -
      1. x:136 y:320
      2. x:99 y:285
      3. x:92 y:234
      fixed
  3. 00:41:627 (4) - Replace these notes by this fixed
  4. 00:48:184 (2) - This note is too close from the previous, or too far from the next, it feels weird to play the pattern. But I didn't find a way to fix it. fixed
  5. 00:50:807 (2) - Same here fixed
[Hard]
  1. 00:16:545 - It feels empty, why not adding a note ? fixed
  2. 00:22:447 (1,2,3) - I've never seen such a huge jump in a Hard before fixed
Apart from the usual Slider problem fixed, this diff is fine ^^

Thanks very much for the awesome mod! I fixed the slider problems for easy, normal and hard but I will soon fix them on my insane aswell.

But I want to delete the video on my taiko difficulties but I want to keep the video for my std difficulties. I tried but I just couldnt get it to work.

Hi, ~ Puzzle ~ -mod.

[General]

Damn it, I am forced to mod an Anime OP.. You are lucky that I already modded this song once. :|
*Both difficulties are pretty solid, thus I will mostly use suggestions here to improve the map instead of pointing out issues that I don't approve.

[Muzukashii]

|00:31:463 (112) - Technically, this pattern works, but if you make this a d, the k's will follow the vocals.
|Meh.. no. please use k k instead of dkk.
|00:57:201 (234,235,236) - Triple doesn't follow anything. Please use d k and not ddd. But you can also use k d k ddk d k d k, this would underline the vocals.
|01:02:529 - should have a d to be consistent with the pattern before this one. Then it would be consistent to 01:06:053 (275,276,277,278,279,280,281,282,283,284,285,286,287,288,289,290) - .
This problem is featured several times throughout the difficulty. Sometimes, the first pattern has a triple and the second doesn't, sometimes it's th other way around.

[Oni]

|In the ending, you used a stream that reaches to the last note of the song, leaving it unpronounced. In the Muzu, you had enough space to put a big note. Thus: Cut the stream at 01:25:397 - and make the last k a K.

Sorry, there is really not too much to say, it's a short song, it's a singable song which makes it easy to be mapped, etc..

[Easy]
Something that I noticed right away was your inconsistent spacing. That's an absolute no-no in an Easy. Everything up to Hard needs to be consistently spaced or your map will most probably not get ranked. You really should look into fixing that. I'll avoid mentioning the spacing throughout the map, but if you don't fix that, it won't get ranked. Also, HP4 CS3 AR4 OD4? At least lower the HP and OD by 1 tick, that's way too much for an easy.

00:02:938 (2) - This slider has absolutely nothing to do with 00:00:316 (1) - . If 1 is a curvy slider, you should either make 2 curvy or blanket it with 1, especially because you do continue the curves here 00:05:561 (1,2) -
00:20:643 (1) - Why this sv change? There's absolutely no reason to lower the sv here, it just plays weird
00:20:643 (1,2,3) - These 3 sliders also don't follow the music at all
00:29:824 (4) - Once again, a slider that has nothing to do with the previous patterns. There's no consistency or structure here.
00:43:594 (2) - ^

Okay, the more I go through this map the more I realize that there is no modding that can save this. You need to remap the whole thing, unfortunately. The spacing is random, there's no structure whatsoever, and the notes don't follow the music at all - as well as random sv changes that don't make sense at all. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but there's no way you're getting this ranked. So I'd advise you to make a new Easy, and keep these things in mind: Symmetry, structure, consistency, SPACING

[Normal]
Once again with the spacing issues. Do you use distance snap at all? You should pay attention to the spacing in the top right. It has to be consistent or your map will play badly.

00:13:430 (1,2,3) - This pattern isn't consistent with the previous 00:10:807 (1,2,3,4,5) - at all, even though they sound similar in the music.
00:14:742 (3) - Irrelevant slider again
00:21:299 (2,3) - Bad blanket
00:26:217 - I'm missing a note here
00:31:135 (5,6,7) - Once again with the lack of consistency - there wasn't a triple here in the previous phrase, and this phrase isn't any different from the first. Rhythm is about repetition, so make sure that parts that sound similarly also feel similarly when you play them.
00:41:627 (4) - This has absolutely nothing to do with the music at all
00:48:184 (2,3) - What was your idea behind this pattern?
00:50:152 (1,2,3,4,5) - It's good that you used symmetry here - this section is consistent, despite the mildly nonsensical sliders
01:00:479 (1,2,3) - Bad blankets
01:02:611 (4) - Irrelevant slider
01:05:889 (2,3,4) - I don't see how anyone could think that this pattern looks good
01:11:791 (2,3) - Good blanket
01:22:283 (2,1) - Whyyy isn't this blanketed?

Once again, my advice will be to remap, since this map too has completely broken spacing, as well as no structure and flimsy logic behind the patterns. You really need to think about why you would put said pattern there and how it would play for someone of the designated skill level.

Also - AR5OD5HP5? I use HP6 for my Extras. You should really tone that down. And the OD too, why would you make it so high? It's a TV Size Normal, there's no reason for you to do that at all.

[Hard]
Okay - HP6 and OD7 are not okay for a Hard. As I've said before, I use HP6 for my Extras and HP5/6 for Insanes. Your settings are too high in every difficulty, and this is really something you need to prevent the next time. Also, once again your spacing is messed up, so my advice for remapping stands - I'll still try to point out things that I haven't mentioned before, though.

00:04:906 (7,1) - This jump is waaaay too huge for a Hard
00:06:873 (2) - How did you think this could possibly flow well? You first send the player to the top left only to immediately pull them back to the bottom right, that's not right. This is a Hard.
00:15:234 (4,5) - Sliders on red ticks where they don't fit at all
00:33:102 (1,2,3) - This is wrong - you have a nice and steady continuous flow and suddenly break that even though nothing in the song changes.
00:36:545 (6,7) - Why would you stack this?
00:39:332 (5,6) - ^
00:44:250 (3) - Doesn't flow nicely at all, the jump is too far and the slider angled too awkwardly
00:46:217 (1) - Why on Earth would you put an NC here and not 00:45:234 (5) - here?
00:57:365 (4,5) - Why is this stacked?
00:58:020 (1,2,3) - The spacing here is completely broken
01:07:037 (3,4) - Doesn't follow the music

[Insane]
I was honestly expecting AR10OD10HP10 but it's not that bad, thankfully. HP7 is still too high for a TV Size Insane, I'd say. You really need to cut down on the HP. OD8 is fine but most TV Size Insanes are OD7.

00:17:856 (1,2) - How could this stack possibly play nicely?
00:21:791 (3,4,5) -
00:22:447 (1,2,3) -
00:23:102 (1,2,3) - These triples are both overmapped and don't fit the song at all
00:23:922 (6) - This should be an NC
00:24:578 (14,15,16,17) - How do you expect any player to make sense out of this directionless pattern?
00:25:397 (1,1,1,1) - Why doesn't this go Left > Bottom > Right> Top? That would fit the song so much better
00:28:512 (3,4,5,6) - Okay, and this is where I stop modding. You can never, ever do a square with random spacing. It plays horribly.

I think the issues here are pretty clear - your settings are too high, your spacing is too random, and your flow is inconsistent, unstructured and doesn't fit the song very well. I'd really advise you to remap this. At least, if I were a BAT, I wouldn't rank this. Good luck with getting this ranked, seriously. I know how hard mapping can be at first and criticism on something that you worked so hard for can be pretty harsh. But remapping will do you good - you'll learn how to organize and structure things better, and this time you'll pay attention to your spacing. Make sure to use distance snap whenever you can. Hope this helps.

I wont bother fixing my easy or normal since I have to remap it? I'm not sure so I'll just keep them there in the meantime.

I thought you were pretty harsh on someone that has zero experience from mapping. I was pretty self confident about my map but now I just feel bad about it. Right now I'm considering if I should even care about it anymore. But still it did help with alot of things.

Maybe you could've shown me how I could've done at certain parts cause I can't tell sometimes what you meant.

EDIT: I tried fixing some spacing on easy, normal and insane
Nyxa
I'm sorry if I was too harsh - by no means did I want to demotivate you from mapping. If it helps any, spacing has always been my biggest, most prominent issue in all of my maps, and "remap" was always the solution I've heard. And I've remapped things countless of times and it took me really long until I sort of got it - I've been mapping for a year now and only now am I finally starting to grasp stuff like spacing and consistency. Feeling bad about your maps is going to be a part of mapping, unfortunately. Let me show you something. Read this p/3438637 thread, starting from the post that I linked from (the one by Zantaria). That is harsh, and that is something that a lot of mappers have to deal with, sometimes with every map they upload. Compared to the things said in there - am I really being harsh on you? In my opinion, it would be much harsher to not say what I said and let people like Zantaria (trust me, there are a lot of those kinds of people in this game) shittalk your map later, and you will feel much, much worse because of it.

I am well aware that I can be quite a nazi when it comes to my mods - I had something to say about almost every object you placed and had to restrain myself not to, because in the end the mod would be so huge that you wouldn't learn much from it since I'd only be telling you what to do. Modding shouldn't be "Telling someone how to map", it should be "Pointing out mistakes that the mapper overlooked". And your mistakes here are spacing, consistency, structure, and symmetry, which is pretty much the cause of all other errors in your maps, and the same issue I keep seeing over and over again. Mapping is an artform - a restricted one (you're limited to the song you're mapping) - but still an artform, and people are always harsh on art. If it's not the best of the best they'll just disregard your work, no matter how hard you worked for it. So I think you should first look at changing your mindset. It's not all rainbows and sunshine, it can be very stressful and sometimes even dramatic, I can tell you that. If you don't like that, then mapping may not be for you. But I don't mean to demotivate you from mapping at all - just trying to explain to you how your experience in mapping isn't all that relevant, and, believe it or not, I really took that into account in my mod. Had I modded this as if you were an experienced mapper, the mod would've been much, much harsher, because my expectations would've been much higher.

The reason I didn't constantly tell you what to do is because in the end, it's your map, not mine. You won't learn from it unless you sit down and think for yourself "Okay, this was pointed out as an issue, how can I fix this?". You'll notice that, quite often, what a modder suggests doesn't really fit your style, and then it's perfectly fine to not add the mod, as long as you provide an explanation as to why you won't do it. But you really need to learn to see mapping in a way that enables you to not make those basic mistakes anymore.

Tell you what - if you can remap these so that there is (at least) consistent spacing throughout all the maps, I'll mod the whole set again, and this time give less basic suggestions. But you will need to have consistent spacing, or else I'll just assume you're lazy, and I don't help lazy people. Good luck with the mapping, I'm sure you'll do fine in due time. And, once again, I apologize if I sounded offensive, but it can get a lot worse, trust me.
A Mystery
Hello, from my queue!

General

I have to agree with Tess about the spacing. You can't map 1/2 circles and a random 1/4 after that with the same distance. If it isn't a jump and it is your intention to have the same distance between different objects, you should use the distance snap with a small/tiny/no grid snap or it will look random. I will point some of these out but not all of them. There is also a bad use of new combos, but I am not an expert on that. This map needs some work but seeing your mapping history this is a good start. Because of that I'm not going to be too harsh.

Insane

Same as what I said in general. If it's your intention to keep objects on the same distance, then do so. Jumps are fun, but they will have to fit the song as well.

00:03:922 (4) - 2 circles maybe?
00:15:888 (13,1) - you shouldn't keep it empty here, since it's a downbeat (the large white ticks) and there is obviously something to map here.
00:16:545 (2,6) - there isn't really a reason why these sliders would start on the red tick, it makes it feel weird when playing. Normally most of the sliders start on a white tick because musically it feels way more logical to play.
00:17:201 (5,5) - also an empty feeling here. I think that using a slider instead of a circle would help a lot. http://puu.sh/czct1/489ee81129.jpg
00:19:660 (5,2) - avoid overlaps like these, they don't look very good
00:20:643 (4,5,6,7) - the way the stream is going doesn't really fit the flow coming from the previous circle. Again, this creates a weird feeling when you are playing it.
00:20:643 (4,5,6,7,4,1) - jump isn't very logical and same thing as the previous suggestion.
00:25:397 (1,1,1,1) - You shouldn't do a combo spam here, I suggest that you only use 1 combo.
00:26:545 (2) - and start a new one here
00:29:496 (2,3,4) - since the distances between the same patterns of sliders here is different, it will look sloppy
00:32:447 (4,5,1,2) - same here. It looks sloppy because your intention was to do it right, but it didn't turn out so. http://puu.sh/czcMF/215ecdbcf0.jpg
00:33:102 (1) - map a bit more to the voice, using a 1/1 slider wouldn't hurt. It's quite boring when you only map 1/2
00:34:250 (6,1) - same about the downbeat
00:38:020 (6,1) - again an overlap that doesn't really look nice
00:37:037 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - try something like this to follow the voice http://puu.sh/cz7lB/86e04a693a.jpg http://puu.sh/cz7sL/f33ce203c3.jpg. This was just a quick example but it shows that you are following the voice, the pattern which is there now doesn't really make sense.
00:39:496 (6,1) - empty between these again
00:47:529 (1) - is this supposed to be a blanket? If so I suggest you make it better than this (use the approach circles)
00:48:184 (2,3,4) - an example about the distance snap. there isn't a reason for these objects having a different distance between each other, unless you wanted to make a real jump to (4), but that wouldn't really make sense.
00:49:824 (1) - same about the blanket
00:50:479 (2,3,4,5) - this is also a bad use of spacing. I think it's clear here
00:51:299 (6) - again about blanket
00:52:447 (1) - on the downbeat it really feels like you should click something, consider making this 2 circles
01:01:299 (7) - blanket
01:06:873 (6,7,8) - spacing, and compare this with 01:09:168 (5,6,7) - . I think you should keep it the same with the distance snap.
01:10:479 (8) - map 2 circles after this like you did in the other parts (01:05:397 (4,5) - )
01:12:283 (1) - blanket? you can try to make one here :)
01:16:381 (1) - there isn't really a reason for the slowdown of the sliders. I suggest that you just use the same slider velocity here
01:18:840 (3,4,5) - spacing
01:19:496 (5,6) - 2 off-beat slider do not make sense here, you should let the slider start on the white ticks http://puu.sh/cz8w7/048db025c9.jpg (with some altering on the grid as well)
01:23:594 (1,2,3,4) - this is like, JUST the right part where the slider should start on the red ticks to match the voice more perfectly haha :)
A spinner in the end wouldn't hurt.

Hard

Overall the same things. Spacing mistakes and weird combos sometimes.

00:06:873 (2) - blanket fix
00:08:840 (7) - there should at least be something clickable on the downbeat
00:19:824 (2,3,4,5,1) - again the spacing. The first 2 circles don't make a jump but the next ones do. Since this is a hard anyway these jumps are quite hard and it will be hard to read as well this way. Consider making the same distance between them.
00:21:135 (1,3,4,1) - looks sloppy again because of not using the distance snap/using a grid snap that is too large.
00:22:447 (1,2) - they shouldn't overlap since it is just a circle which is coming half a beat after the slider, like all of the other ones, no need for this.
00:29:168 (1) - blanket?
00:29:168 (1,7,8) - I don't think it's a great idea to follow the synthesizer noise in the background. It's a hard so you can still quite map the voice. You should place a circle between the sliders anyway.
00:43:922 (2,3,4) - they all look weird placed like this, make sure that the weird jump between (2) and (3) is gone.
00:46:053 (5,1) - consider making this a slider to follow the voice more properly
00:47:529 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - this whole part has a weird spacing again. that makes it hard to read in a hard :o
00:56:381 (4) - make this a 1/2 slider with a circle after it (downbeat again)
00:56:873 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - you shouldn't use such a weird circles pattern here. Consider adding some sliders and rearrange the circles. (I suggest to even only use sliders since it will fit the voice better)
01:00:479 (1,1,2,3,4,5) - again a very weird part. just use the distance snap to fix it. Also between 01:06:545 (2,3) - there is a voice you should map
01:08:184 (6) - make sure you can "click" the voice, a return slider doesn't fit here http://puu.sh/czbqb/511f5b8b60.jpg. This will be way more fun to play. The same for the previous and the next off-beat starting voices.
01:10:479 (5) - no reason for overlap
01:10:971 (1) - was this supposed to be a blanket :)
01:16:053 (5,6,1) - again spacing. here there is half a beat while you are using the same distance here as well 01:16:381 (1,2) - while this is 1/1.
01:17:693 (3) - you should map the voice.
01:19:004 (1,2,3) - same here. Same distances for different timings should be avoided, especially in diffs like hards and lower
01:20:315 (1) - hmmm I think it's better if you map something here instead of a spinner
01:23:758 (7,8,1,2) - don't know to which rhythm this is mapped x_x
01:23:758 (7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6) - this all doesn't look good and is confusing to play. I suggest that you do something similar to the insane (with the suggestions added). http://puu.sh/czbVS/8cf3c6bb34.jpg

This was already a lot of work but I think you know what the problem in general is, and that is the spacing. it might not confuse you but it will to other players. Distance snap is a great help and you should use it more often. It's also smart to keep the same DS within the same "parts" of the song. I'm not going to mod the normal and the easy but make sure that the distances there are the same. No jumps, no weird spacing because of a large grid size.

Hi, since it's from my modding queue i'll just mod the Standard diffs.
[General]
Add Tuxxy to tags on all difficulties because he made guest diff.

[Insane]
00:24:578 (9,10,11,12) - Sorry but this clap spam needs to go.
Hitsounds feel too loud, if you're gonna use normal sampleset lower volume, otherwise switch for soft sampleset.
01:02:938 (6) - Seems like you missed a clap here.
01:09:660 (7) - This slider is screwing over your clap pattern XD maybe you could try something else instead so you can use the hitsound pattern you were using.
Methinks normal whistles dont fit in this map

[Hard]
Slider velocity feels too slow, it's like the sliders are dragging me down.
00:08:840 (7,8) - This anti-jump doesn't fit u.u
00:44:250 (3,4,5) - Spacing error the 2nd note comes off as anti-jump it'll trip people because they'll click early
00:49:824 - There could be a note here in the "ding"
00:52:447 - ^
01:16:381 (1,2,3,4,5) - These anti-jumps are very unintuitive.

[Normal]
00:58:020 (1,1) - Post spinner note is too close, you could shorten the spinner to fix that (make it at least 2 measures)

[Tuxxy's Easy]
Video file is missing from this difficulty

00:00:316 (1,2) - Make better curves? long sliders can make pretty stuff
00:12:775 (2) - Spacing error
00:15:397 (2) - Uneven spacing.
00:19:988 (2,3,4) - No Anti-jumps on easy please, increase the spacing of these notes.
00:22:611 (2) - Unever spacing.
00:23:922 (1,2,3) - Once again no Anti-Jumps
Ok i'm just going to tell you that you need to try to keep the spacing equal, spacing reductions or increases in Easy are a no-no.
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/2202785 This here is a perfect example of why your spacing distance is wrong.

Most maps are somewhat Ok, but Easy needs a lot of work before this is ready, Good Luck!

I asked for major changes on Tuxxy's diff so Tuxxy needs to fix it, you shouldn't fix the diff yourself.

Hello DavidEd! from my queue

 General

* Put your preview point at the KIAI?

Hard

* 00:14:742 (1,2,3,4,5) - The two sliders you used are offbeat. The sound you're following starts 1/2 tick earlier. Try this rhythm, fits OK imo.
* 00:22:447 (1,2,3,4) - (applies to the whole map) This is a good example of confusing DS.
The 1/2 distance changes at (1,2) and (3,4) where it doesn't really have any function.
* 00:25:397 (1,2,3,4) - Make equal DS here.
* 00:31:791 (1,2) - Blanket could be improved if you moved (2) more to the left.
* 00:31:791 (1) - This combo is quite long compated to the rest of your map. Maybe add a NC at 00:34:414
* 00:35:725 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - Single tapping so long is a a little too hard in a Hard diff, especially since you stacked a few on each other. Try to fit a slider somewhere here to make it easier.
* 00:55:397 (1) - This pattern is really conufsing since the off-vocal sliders. Try this one (same with the combo after this one)
* 01:10:479 (5,1) - I'd use DS here, it's very small right now and especially when your slider suddenly start on the red tick I highly recommend using DS.
* 01:16:381 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - ^

This diff was OK, but you should really keep DS at most time, and when you don't it should still make sense. Fix your DS and it should be fine :D

Insane

* 00:09:660 (7) - These should be a NC here. There's a very strong sound in the song and there's an SV change.
* 00:10:479 (9,10,11,12,1) - Try to move these a little bit further away from the previous slider so you keep the DS here. For Insane and Hard diff, it's not required to have a constant DS, but it should make sense - but now it's a bit confusing.
* 00:15:397 (7,8,9,10,11,12,1) - This rhythm here is odd. The string sound actually already starts at the end of the stream. Try this rhythm, imo it sounds better this way.
* 00:36:053 (7) - Put an extra whistle. You did it with the whole square.
* 00:46:381 (1,2,3,4) - (optional) Make a different pattern here? Stacking these seems to boring compared to the previous combos.
* 00:47:529 (1,2) - You can blanket these.
* 00:49:824 (1,2,3,4,5) - The spacing with (1,2,3) is different than (4,5,6) which is really confusing to me. I'd make the DS even.
* 01:00:479 (4) - NC because of the strong finish sound and it starts the KIAI time.
* 01:11:791 (3,1) - Blanket?
* 01:24:250 (3,4) - If I were you, I'd just copy the sliders from 01:23:594 (1,2) - especially (4) looks sloppy now.

You should pay more attention to the DS sometimes, but overall this diff was really fun to play! I liked the jump patterns, and I think that after a few more mods this diff is ready >w<b

I skipped Easy & Normal, because dunno if you're going to remap it.

For the other two diffs, they are fine - but they could use some more work. I highly recommend you to keep DS like Tess said. If you could somehow fix some rhythms and spacing I think it'd be an OK map!

  2. 00:26:545 (1) - Curve this downwards so it flows better onto the upcoming circle and slider?

===Aesthetics===
Just as how a good looking food is pleasing to eat, a good looking map can help to make a map more enjoyable to play. I believe visuals play a HUGE role in playing this game. Since reading is one of the big part of osu! standard playing skills, I cannot stress the importance of aesthetics in mapping standard. There are multiple number of techniques you use to make maps priti~

1. Blankets
"If all else fails, blanket" -guineaQ 2014
Seriously, you can quote me.
Blanket is a technique where you envelope a circle or an approach circle, or anything really that can be enveloped, with a slider path. Here are some examples.
Big boxu of examplez
From - Hanatan :: Hajimete no Oto by Rakuen, Easy difficulty

-----------------

From - yuikonnu :: Kakushigoto by jonathanlfj, Easy difficulty

-----------------

From - Hanatan :: Romeo and Cinderella by captin1, Easy difficulty

-----------------

From - DECO*27*40mP :: HOME, mapset by Kibbleru, DakeDekaane's Easy

-----------------

From - DECO*27 :: Winter Cleaning by me, Easy difficulty

I think you get the point here :S
So why use these blankets? First of all, they look really really really really really nice when used well, and most importantly, sliders that blanket usually flows really well, so, you are catching two birds with one stone, satisfying both aesthetics and flow :S

One word of warning about blankets is that a map can turn QUICKLY boring when they are overused in very tight successions.

2. Symmetry
I have a love and hate relationship with this technique.
3 types of symmetries you can use:
::X-axis symmetry
::Y-axis symmetry
::symmetry on a virtual line

just some examples
From - DECO*27 :: Winter Cleaning by me, Easy difficulty
Y-axis symmetry

you could find bunch more easily
Symmetry, just like blankets, can EASILY become very tedious when overused like if there would be no tommorow. There is one thing that symmetry offers that blanket sometimes cannot offer.

It makes patterns more predictable. Which makes it a good idea to use at least SOME if you do not wish to just plain copy paste ctrl + h, ctrl + g same patterns at identical sounding parts of the song.

3. Overlaps
Overlaps can play a HUGE role in increasing difficulty of a difficulty by making it harder to read, but you shouldn't really use any overlaps EXCEPT FOR this overlap:

This is called as "bow slider", "bow blanket" or anything you like to call it. This can be used if the slider that will be overlapped with be PERFECTLY visible when the player has to hit it, in this easy diff's case, it gives the player around half a second which is plenty of time to react to.

4. Slider Art
Pretty much self explanatory, like as I repeated with other 3 things above this, don't overuse it.

5. there is more but i forgot.[/list]

I threw a HUGE LIST OF IDEAS you can use to map

/////////// Copy pasta ends here

I put that wall of text- err i mean pics basically because this easy have no aesthetics value at all for me.
There is not a single blanket, noticeable symmetry, overlaps that are tolerable, or slider art. This fact makes this map EXTREMELY tedious for me to look at.

And hitsounds, some parts are too loud.
00:00:316 - try 30~50%
00:10:807 - +20% volume from whatever you chose
00:25:234 - -10% volume
00:47:529 - +10% volume

Some pattern suggestions
00:51:463 (1,2,3) - no stacking on easy difficulty please.
Please use consistent spacing, and speaking of spacing, I would actually use 1.2 DS so that 1/1 patterns wouldn't overlap (Trust me some people dislike it)

Rhythm stuff
Currently I feel like this easy is just playing along the bpm...maybe you should try adding more variation to the rhythm with diverse 1/1, 2/1 patterns.

[Normal]
1.38 -> 2.18 is a HUGE leap, difficulty wise.

00:02:938 (3) - Please, do not use SV increase without using NC to signify SV change for players, even then I wouldn't recommend it in Normal since new players are not used to changes in slider velocities.

uh I looked at SV, is using 1.4 SV and then having it on 0.75x really necessary? Not only that SV changes are really tricky for newer players, the whole rhythm seems like an easy hard diff in my standards. There are far too many 1/2s and continuous 1/1 patterns for it to be the next stage in diff spread since easy was full of 2/1 breaks between sliders.

well the rhythm looks okay by it's own, its just that its problematic in relation to diff spread.

[Hard]
Is there any reason for you to use the same SV with roughly the SV timing point settings as Normal diff for a hard diff?

I personally think you should have someone look for more fundamental issues with the map. I don't want to mod patterns since if you do ever get to readjust your SV settings, your lower diffs will have to change, drastically.

[Muzukashii]
00:15:397 (28,29) - k?
00:16:217 (32) - I would remove it, there is nothing on the music here :c
00:20:807 - to 00:20:971 - is actually a really good place to triples
00:28:512 (96,97,98,99) - eh I would prefer dkdk
00:36:217 (135) - d
00:37:693 (142,143,144,145) - same as 00:28:512 (96,97,98,99) -
00:44:250 (175,176,177) - i actually prefer if it was ddk
01:16:053 - add d?
01:25:397 (364,365) - ending with triple might not be a bad idea;;

Taiko diffs seems like it will be ready with only few mods (idk about oni)

[Insane]
..again same SV?
why is hp 6.5? o_o Like i literally missed 7 circle stream and i was still alive oo

00:00:316 (1,2) - just because it's insane and you have a whole measure of break doesn't mean it should have a big gap between the notes XD
00:02:938 (3,4) - ^^

I don't really know what to say about this insane, rhythmically you mostly followed the song, but if i start getting into aesthetics and flow, I'll be literally pointing out nearly every pattern since they can improve greatly, but again I might not want to do that because you used 1.50x SV speed up with 1.4 SV in an insane (that's 2.1 SV and that is FAST) and if you change SV aesthetics will change dramatically :c

Sorry for literally an useless mod immabadmodder, but if you change the SV, the slider shapes and the flow will inevitably change and my mod will be basically redundant cus everything changed! D: well unless I give out pattern suggestions in general (which I don't think is good since everybody has their own style) I don't think my mods would have been helpful with all the new setting.

I'll be straight forward, I don't like it. neither did i, but i did try to make it more appealing.

I'll copy pasta from an essay...advice i did on other map for it's easy (original post: https://osu.ppy.sh/forum/t/250721)

Im from ☆ Yuri & Ferna's Modding Room ☆ ^^ This is actually my first mod ever :'D please be kind with me ;_;

Normal:

00:09:496 (1) - Maybe move this circle to X: 152 Y: 296 ??

01:03:102 (1) - I recomend to move this to 01:03:266 and (X: 128 Y: 288), it can confuse some players (in my opinion) because is kinda fast

01:10:807 (6) - Maybe delete this to fit with the last suggestion?

00:04:906 (6) - Move this to X: 55 Y: 226

01:10:971 (1) - Put hitsound Finish

01:05:889 (2) - Put hitsound Finish in 01:05:889 or 01:05:889 (You decide)

01:18:512 (6) - Move to X: 197 Y: 92

Insane:

00:26:217 (5) - why don't try to put a hitcircle here?? (Something like this http://puu.sh/cXvhy/3f9910631e.jpg ??)

Nothing more here lol I like the Insane ;)

Easy:

00:07:529 (2) - I think you should put a circle here, it fit well : ) (I think that new players are not that weak lol)

Hi, DavidEd.

[General]
  1. Uncheck Letterbox during breaks because It is not used.
  2. The correct metadata is the following:
    Arist: 麻生夏子
    Romanised Artist: Asou Natsuko
    Title/Romanised Title: Perfect-area complete!
[Taiko Muzukashii]
  1. 00:07:856 (13,14) - k d to follow vocal melody.
  2. 00:25:070 (82) - k?
  3. 00:30:807 (111) - k?
  4. 00:37:693 (145,146,147,148) - In my opinion, it would be better to change as follows:
    00:37:856 (146,148) - Delete
    00:38:020 (146) - k
    00:38:348 - k
  5. 00:48:184 (195,196,197,198) - k d d k? this melody is like as 00:53:430 (215,216,217,218).
  6. 01:02:775 (262,263,264) - Sounds a bit weird. how about change to d k k?
  7. 01:05:561 - k? it sounds empty.
  8. 01:05:725 (276) - k?
  9. 01:17:529 (332) - Delete
[Taiko Oni]
  1. 00:03:430 (4) - k
  2. 00:15:397 (33,34,35,36) - k k ddk or k k d k? more fits the song.
  3. 00:20:643 (64,65,66,67,68,69,70,71,72) - Sounds better to change ddk kdkdd.
  4. 00:26:709 (109) - k
  5. 00:27:856 (117) - k
  6. 00:31:545 (141) - Delete
  7. 01:05:397 (35,36) - Change to k d k that is consistent with before. /me runs
  8. 01:19:988 (110,111) - d k?
  9. 01:20:315 (112,113,114,115,116,117,118,119) - Ctrl + G. maybe, more fits than now.

Your Standard difficulties aren't using the same Unicode Artist as the Taiko difficulties. Make sure all the difficulties use 麻生夏子

Add 2000ms to AudioLeadIn in .osu in Notepad for all difficulties, to ensure there is adequate time at the start of the song

Tuxxy's Easy

00:16:053 (5,6) - these sliders are really close to the health bar, it doesn't look aesthetically nice
00:22:611 (3,4) - blanket them
00:34:414 (1,2,3,4,5) - this shape looks imbalanced
00:48:840 (1) - remove the NC here
00:52:775 (1,2,3,4,1) - the flow here isn't good with linear movement like this, having the sliders 00:52:775 (1,3) sticking out and moving out of the line of flow which is right at right angles (90 degrees) moves really bad
01:00:643 (1) - finish on start of slider for greater impact
01:16:381 (1,5) - ^
01:19:004 (5) - NC
01:24:250 (2) - have a finish at the start of the slider

Normal

00:05:561 (1,2) - blanket them
00:11:463 (2) - finish at the end of the slider
00:12:775 (4,5) - add whistles to complement the song
00:13:430 (1) - finish on the start of slider
00:15:725 (1,2) - really don't recommend this in the Normal, it would be more lenient if 00:15:397 (5,1) was one slider instead, and the 1/2 beat would be easier to play
00:15:889 (2) - NC here instead
00:17:201 (1) - finish on start of slider
00:17:201 (1) - remove NC
00:18:512 (3) - NC here and place a finish on the start of the slider
00:19:824 (1) - finish
00:21:299 (2) - NC here instead
00:35:725 (5) - split this up, don't use a repeat slider with more than 1 repeat here, it's not long enough for easy anticipation of another repeat in Normal and in the music it's not exactly with it enough
00:46:217 (3) - ^
01:03:922 (3) - ^ further more, the subsequent beats are off-beat, making it much more complicated than it should be
01:05:889 (2) - NC instead
01:09:168 (2) - split this up, don't use more than 1 repeat slider when the following beats are off-beat
01:06:545 (3,4) - blanket them
01:09:168 (2) - split this up
01:14:414 (3) - ^
01:16:381 (2) - NC here instead

Hard

00:13:430 (1) - finish
00:15:889 (1,1,2) - finish on start of sliders
00:18:512 (2) - NC here instead, that is your usual pattern
00:19:824 (2) - ^
00:21:299 (2) - ^
00:19:824 (2) - finish
00:48:184 (2,3,4,5) - space the stacks apart, they are too close, they should not be touching each other
00:50:152 (1,2) - this anti-jump doesn't really fit here, space them apart with normal spacing
00:52:775 (1,2) - don't have 00:53:430 (2) in the line of movement of 00:52:775 (1) when you anti-jump honestly, have it somewhere away from the end of other slider. This would cause a halt in the movement, which will help the player avoid clicking the next object too quickly, there being an anti-jump and all.
00:56:709 (6) - NC
01:04:414 (3) - NC here instead of 01:03:922 (1)
01:05:725 (7) - NC
01:07:037 (5) - NC for splitting this sections better
01:16:381 (1) - finish on start of slider
01:19:004 (1) - ^
01:20:315 (1) - finish

the use of new combos isn't really structured, you should go over that fully

Insane

00:12:693 (9,10) - whistles for these objects
00:15:070 (6,7) - ^
00:15:889 (1) - finish on start of slider
00:17:201 (6,5,1) - ^

again the use of combo is not consistent, I can see the flaws and errors around again. You first used a new combo at the off-beat 00:15:889 (1) for the start of the section, but then you changed it again after that. You should place a new combo at 00:17:201 (6) instead of 00:17:856 (1) to be similar to the earlier one. You then have to place the new combo on 00:18:512 (5) and not on 00:19:004 (1) - you can already see that 00:19:824 (1) is fine, and is consistent with the start of that section earlier on

00:22:611 (3) - NC here instead of 00:22:447 (1)
00:23:102 (1) - remove NC
00:44:086 (2,3,4,5) - pattern is not symmetrical, looks lopsided, angle 00:44:414 (4,5) the same way as 00:44:086 (2,3)
00:49:824 (1) - finish on start of slider, you used finishes on these parts in your other difficulties
00:52:447 (1) - finish
00:54:414 (8) - NC
00:58:020 (1,2) - angle them better, make them mirror image of each other
01:03:102 (1) - finish on start of slider
01:06:873 (6) - the critical beat is at the end of this slider, which is also usually the start of a new combo. This slider basically screwed up the whole pattern. Have something start at 01:07:037 with a new combo, not have a slider end there
01:07:693 (1) - remove NC
01:08:348 (5) - NC here instead of 01:08:512 (1)
01:14:906 (7) - NC
01:17:693 (4) - NC
01:18:840 (3) - NC here instead of 01:18:512 (1)
01:24:250 (3) - NC here instead of 01:23:594 (1)

Phrasing needs to be better

Good Luck

Hello! from queue

00:36:381 (1,2,3,4,1) - Make this into a more rigid kind of pattern to make it fit with the rest of the patterns of the map or maybe this into a more rigid upside down triangle 00:36:709 (3,4,1) -
01:03:922 (4,5,6) - make this form a triangle
01:05:070 (3,4,5) - make the end of the slider 4 and 5 for a better triangle maybe make the 5 come closer to slider end 3
01:11:627 (2,3,4) - lift the 3 up a bit for triangle
01:20:315 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - maybe make the triangle spacing bigger as you move up together with the song
