In this project we are going to discuss how is a taiko map be rated by star difficulty, how many star should a map be.
Background
1. People argue on difficulty star rating, and because different player have different skill so they may think different towards a map
2. The star show in osu do not having meaning to taiko.
Aim
1. Find the actual difficulty of a taiko map, showing that by a number called "Difficulty index". This allow us to directly compare maps.
2. From the index, we can judge the difficulty name of the map. This mean when we get enough data, we can set up lines as if the index is higher than x , that map should be inner oni.
And here are some factors discussed by those big guys like ono and aabc.
1. Stream length, how many streams are there in the map. Of cause more SHOULD be difficult.
2. Notes complexity, the patten of stream, need to be discussed.
3. Timing Points if you remember who is ishida.......
4. OD, the exact number in the .osu file
Okay I hate typing a lot of useless background.
Now I tell you what you can do to help me!
First make sure you have installed JAVA, just google it if you don't know what is that.
Then download the program on the second post.
Post the result here with following format
After collecting enough sample data we can work a final solution to the index
