Not 100% sure if this is intended or not, but it is somehow limiting and I think should be changed/fixed.
Basically, when using widescreen resolutions, when you select any object be it on the timeline or on the playfield, clicking into "nothing" within the grid will unselect the object, however clicking outside of it will not.
Since the update which introduced the pretty amazing widescreen editor, you now have space everywhere, and it sort of looks silly to not be able to unselect when clicking into empty space like that.
I have highlighted the new "empty" area with some green, and I usually tend to click there a lot when I want to unselect something, and that doesn't happen. :p
