How do I create a smooth cursortrail

Sometimes I get it when I alt+tab back into the game after more than 5 minutes of inactivity. Trying to permanently replicate it.

I've tried making a 1x1 blank cursormiddle.png file, I've messed around with the sizes in game and in the files but they don't look the same. help me please

1) did you create cursormiddle in @2x size and normal?
2) did you try writing cursormiddle=1 in skin.ini

Skinning is a mistake. Try it once and there is no way back

What. Those are stupid solutions. The OP might have just forgot to reload their skin, or it might be a problem with the cursortrail itself.

this is not cursormiddle, guys. In a short trail cursor, more trail images are appearing, that's what's happening. this is a glitch.
I've seen this glitch before and it's very hard to recreate on purpose, and it disappears after you enter a different screen.
