Problem details:
normally my computer can run osu! at about 260 fps at native resolution, however since a few months ago I have severe lags with no warning whatsoever...this lags aren't shown as fps drops or latency spikes, but the whole game (including audio, video and gameplay) lags for about half a second by going back around half a second in the song. it's as if a CD would lag at a specific part.
This all was fine, sometimes more, sometimes less lags, but it would usually resolve itself by restarting my computer or osu!. However, this time the game itself has become unplayable, as you can see in the video below. I don't know when it exactly started, but it was somewhere after the new windows 10 update. Restarting the computer, restarting osu, changing the gpu from nvidia to intel, updating my gpu driver all hasn't helped. The videocapture has added a bit of lag itself, but it isn't far from the truth as when I set the fps limiter to 240 or unlimited, the lags become more severe/often.

Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 / Nvidia Geforce 840M
Intel Core i7 4500U 1.8GHz

You might want to try reinstalling your audio drivers.

You also might want to try looking through this thread. There are a few things scattered throughout there that have helped people with stuttering issues.
