Back in the GD era, when OT didn't even exist, It was a great sunny day in the flourishing land. People really didn't expect much from a little thread that was made that day, but it became known as the first shit thread ever made. By the end of the day it accumulated a few pages of nonsense, and like any thread which run its course, it was time to go ahead and lock it. However, it couldn't be locked for some reason. Turns out, that thread's shit was so powerful that any attempt to lock it was futile. They even tried the thread deletion and the wastelanding it, but nothing worked. The thread was immortal, and it only grew more powerful as time went on.
To much surprise, even peppy couldn't lock it. That didn't stop him from unleashing his power on the thread, however. With all his might, and the absolute power in him, he managed to shatter the thread into many pieces. A huge shockwave was sent across GD, with a power was so great that it was compared to a nuke. Unfortunately, like a nuke it had its fallout. The shards of that thread showered over GD, infecting any other thread they came into contact with. Soon GD became full of unbearable shit threads, a cancer which was spreading at a rapid pace. Upon noticing that the people started posting shit all over the subforum, peppy had to do something. With little choice left, he had to rain down the apocalypse onto GD. That day, peppy struck the entire subforum, and using his godlike powers, he split it into two.
