[Archived] My rank dropped by ~2000 for no reason

Problem Details:
I was playing some ranked maps untill all of a sudden my rank dropped by ~2000 for no reason ( at least i think so ).
Just compare my profile with 1,417pp (#180,539):

and someone else's profile with 1,416pp (#178,285):
https://osu.ppy.sh/u/2233912
Edit: That person with 1,416pp dropped too for no reason, even tough she/he is inactive. Usually, you drop about ~50-200 ranks a day when you are inactive.

Same thing just happened to me, except it was about -500 rankings.

You played a ranked map, which updated your rank w/ bancho. This caused your rank to drop due to people passing you in pp.

This happend already 3 times since I started playing. Everyone dropped on their rank (some people dropped less, some more). I don't know why exactly this happens, but (almost) everyone has to deal with it.
