16:16 Soquire: Hey. Are you not busy? You talked about irc mod
16:19 Fursum: sorry i have to go afk now
16:19 Fursum: back in 5
16:19 Soquire: ok
16:26 Fursum: im back
16:26 Fursum: my brother woke up i had to rock him :p
16:26 Soquire: I agree!
16:26 Soquire: so?
16:26 Soquire: will you?
16:27 Fursum: yeah sure
16:27 Fursum: link the map
16:27 *Soquire is editing [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1317990 Sx107 - Killing Dreams [Just a Dream]]
16:27 Soquire: the song is sort of tragic
16:29 Fursum: hmm
16:29 Fursum: for a 2,82 stars
16:29 Fursum: sv changes could cause some issues
16:29 Soquire: this diff is ment to be the hardest in the whole set
16:29 Fursum: then you can increse the spacing a bit
16:30 Fursum: to buff sr
16:30 Soquire: may be
16:30 Fursum: 00:29:141 (1,2,3) - like these
16:30 Fursum: it wouldnt cause any problems if they didnt overlap
16:32 Soquire: I thought it'll be a good idea to make a emphasized jump to 00:29:839
16:32 Soquire: 00:29:839 (1)
16:32 Fursum: im not talking about the emphasized jumps
16:32 Fursum: they are okay
16:32 Fursum: but non emphasized spacing is a bit clunky
16:33 Soquire: so I got you
16:33 Soquire: just increase spacing
16:33 Fursum: yeah
16:33 Fursum: it would bump the sr a bit so sv changes are justified
16:33 Fursum: 01:23:095 (3,4,5,6) - same spacing but different time gaps
16:33 Soquire: okay
16:34 Fursum: also they are in the same pattern
16:34 Soquire: indeed
16:34 Fursum: 01:27:513 (6,7,8) - nc spam here
16:34 Fursum: also play around with their spacing
16:35 Soquire: increase it from 5 to 8?
16:36 Fursum: dunno, they should be pretty far apart because of the different time gap
16:36 Fursum: 02:16:815 - last slider ends after the song finishes
16:36 Soquire: the tone of sounds get lower there
16:37 Soquire: i though it was a good idea
16:37 Fursum: maybe end it at the linked mark
16:37 Soquire: oaky
16:37 Fursum: yeah but that is hard to read
16:38 Soquire: i should increase the sr then
16:39 Soquire: and more skilled player who is able to read
16:39 Soquire: these patterns
16:39 Fursum: [https://puu.sh/whXq7/ed9f6c2878.jpg my take on the spacing]
16:39 Soquire: will play it
16:39 Fursum: 00:29:141 -
16:39 Fursum: this part
16:40 Soquire: the jump to the slider breaks the flow
16:40 Soquire: is it okay?
16:41 Fursum: yeah
16:41 Fursum: breaking the flow to emphasize things are okay
16:41 Soquire: i though to emphasize this slider with spacing will be enogh
16:41 Fursum: your call
16:43 Soquire: i made this 01:00:304 (2,3) in the same way
16:43 Soquire: breaking the flow
16:44 Soquire: so i think it'll be okay
16:44 Fursum: its fine
16:45 Fursum: https://puu.sh/whXCG/8a99fb6cc3.jpg
16:45 Fursum: 00:44:257 -
16:45 Fursum: here i made the spacing increase smoother
16:46 Fursum: https://puu.sh/whXGy/1487e04be7.jpg
16:46 Fursum: 00:48:092 -
16:46 Fursum: same thing
16:48 Soquire: that sounds smart
16:48 Fursum: essentially
16:48 Fursum: 00:59:606 -
16:48 Fursum: use the spacing on this part
16:48 Fursum: on the beginning of the song
16:49 Fursum: and increase the spacing more after this
16:49 Fursum: this part is good by itself but before this isnt any fun to play
16:50 Fursum: i already bumped the sr to 3 by increasing the spacing a bit
16:50 Soquire: got it
16:50 Fursum: but the rythm is good
16:52 Fursum: pm me again after you complete the spacing changes so i can check again
16:52 Soquire: ok
17:15 Soquire: done
17:15 Soquire: i think
17:16 Fursum: did you upload
17:16 Soquire: i did
17:17 Fursum: 00:42:862 (1,2) - its better if they didnt overlap
17:17 Fursum: because it can be read as a 1/4 gap
17:17 Fursum: 00:57:746 (2,3) - same
17:18 Fursum: 01:27:513 (6,7,8) - use NC for every note
17:19 Fursum: 01:38:676 - spacing is still low on this part
17:20 Soquire: fixed
17:23 Soquire: is this all?
17:23 Fursum: sec
17:27 Fursum: back
17:27 Fursum: 01:32:474 (5,4) -
17:28 Fursum: same sound
17:28 Fursum: but one is a circle and one is a slider
17:29 Soquire: they're not same
17:29 Soquire: but i got it
17:29 Fursum: eh
17:29 Fursum: different note
17:29 Fursum: but same length
17:29 Soquire: idk why did I put a slider
17:29 Fursum: doing both a slider would work
17:29 Fursum: because it comes at a 1/8 snap
17:30 Fursum: to make it better for acc
17:31 Fursum: i think thats all
17:31 Fursum: however spacing could still use a buff
17:32 Soquire: okay
17:32 Soquire: thanks
17:32 Soquire: so much

Hello mod from my queue~
Just a dream
  1. Use custom combo colors
  2. Okay, it's probably WIP, but just in case, you need more diffs here
  3. Hitsounds are way too loud. Maybe not the hitsounds itself, but for example the sliderbody hitsounds (slide especially) at the beginning are hella loud
  4. 00:34:257 (2,3) - looks like you are doing that a lot later on too, but are you intentionally ignoring sounds to map? (maybe we will just have higher diff later on or smth)
  5. 01:26:815 (5,1,1,1) - you have already been using a lot of "not so casual" rhythms as circles, relying on DS to make them playably (kinda here and there are times if I wanted to note on those) but this is definitely better mapped as sliders, this will be way too unintuitive as circles. Okay, 01:27:513 (1,1,1,1) - all have the same distance in time, but they are still of different rhythm than anything so far, and the transition between 01:26:815 (5,1) - is different rhythm than the rest. Would use sliders first and maybe the couple last with circles, taking into consideration that the song actually change into 1/3 based rhythms for a while after that.
  6. Basically the same drill at 01:38:676 (1,2,3,1) - where the transition happens the other way
  7. That's basically it. Just also keep your eyes open for visual mistakes since the design you have is very neat (okay, a lot of overlaps tho) so blunders stand out
Good luck!

hi

your slider-slide hitsound is waaaaaay to loud. Actually, all the hitsounding is pretty loud.. try toning it down to like 25% or invest in a slider slider-slide custom hitsound

00:34:257 (2,3) - use same spacing concept you did at 00:49:141 (2,3) - ? The parts are basically synonymous to each other
00:44:257 (3,2) - stack these for neatness?
00:54:257 (4,5) - space out a bit more? them touching is rather icky. also because it's spaced out more in the previous synonymous part at 00:39:374 (4,5) -
01:00:536 (3,5) - space slider 5 out a bit more so it's not touching slider 3? doesn't look too good
01:31:234 (2,3,4) - move circle 3 closer to slider 2? placement suggests 1/2 rhythm but it's actually 1/4. similar to what you did at 01:36:815 (1,2,3) -
01:51:699 (1,1) - space moooore, touching :(

good luckk

  2. Okay, it's probably WIP, but just in case, you need more diffs here IK
  3. Hitsounds are way too loud. Maybe not the hitsounds itself, but for example the sliderbody hitsounds (slide especially) at the beginning are hella loud Added silent hitsound as sliderslide + reduced all hitsounds' volume
  4. 00:34:257 (2,3) - looks like you are doing that a lot later on too, but are you intentionally ignoring sounds to map? (maybe we will just have higher diff later on or smth) I wanted to emphasize (3) with low-spaced circle since this one differs from previous song fragment. If I'd used the same spacing then this would be the same pattern, but those two song fragments are not meant to be same
  5. 01:26:815 (5,1,1,1) - you have already been using a lot of "not so casual" rhythms as circles, relying on DS to make them playably (kinda here and there are times if I wanted to note on those) but this is definitely better mapped as sliders, this will be way too unintuitive as circles. 01:26:815 (1,1,1) - I placed these notes in the way I hear the song. It gets lower and lower like it's falling down with growing speed, and these circles do the same. I agree that some patterns are way too hard to read for a casual 3stars, but this is what I want it to be. This is not a 3* "Hard" diff from a mapset with insanes and extras. This diff is meant to be the hardest one in the set. It should contain everything that can make player feel how mapper hears the song IMHO. 01:26:815 (5,1) - The time distance between these objects +NC is enough for player to safely get into the new rhythm section...I think
  6. Basically the same drill at 01:38:676 (1,2,3,1) - where the transition happens the other way Will fix this later
  7. That's basically it. Just also keep your eyes open for visual mistakes since the design you have is very neat (okay, a lot of overlaps tho) so blunders stand out
