basically for this difficulty is i dont think its technically unrankable, but its lacking in structure. As in, the objects seem all over the place. Study a variety of ranked maps (as in recently 2015-2016 ranked maps), especially ones you like. I think it'll help you develop your mapping style. Thanks! I was actually hitsounding as you posted this so that is done now. I looked through the proposed changes on easy and insane and they look good. I also understand your criticism with the scattered notes, it is something im working on for sure.

Thanks a lot man! I went ahead with all the suggested changges except for the ones at the very end before the final stream because i found that the 1/4 slider from 01:12:602 (3) - sounds really off.

Also yes, i totally forgot about kiai lol, thanks about the reminder!

You don't need "Japanese attakain dakara Anba" in the tags since they'll be in the title/artist/genre fields upon ranking.

Your red timing should start at 00:01:484 - since the anacrusis (lead-in) would start the measure incorrectly.

[Easy]
What I really suggest you do for this is to increase the DS to 1.2 and use that as a base for the spacing between notes. Right now, some of them overlap and some don't. This will make the map look much cleaner!

  1. 00:05:720 (1,2) - It's actually pretty simple to create decent blankets. A good tip is to use the approach circle from other notes. I can't upload any pics because data, but for now. Move the (2) to 00:06:690 - (temporarily, you'll be moving this back after) and then move to 00:06:602 - in the timeline, You'll be able to use the approach circle of (2) to adjust the (1) for blanketing. Remember to move the (2) back into place after . You do a good job with 00:16:661 (4,5) - as an example, so I'm sure you should be able to do this as well!
  2. 00:11:014 (8,9) - I would suggest using a circle where (8) is and then use a long slider starting at 00:11:367 - (where the (8)'s tail used to be) While it isn't exactly loud, the drums do start at 00:11:367 -
  3. 00:18:425 (7,8) - for variety, try using two 1/1 sliders instead. Simply remove the reverse on (7) and then add another 1/1 slider after it.
  4. 00:45:249 (1,2,3) - For variety, try using a 3/2 slider here, It makes the vocals that play heavily at 00:45:778 - feel important as well since it'll be hit by a reverse.
  5. 00:59:014 (4) - These kind of overlaps aren't great either. It'd be butter to have this note flow with the end of the (4) instead.
  6. 01:06:778 (3) - Stuff like these long ones would make a great 3/2 slider as well! It'll make the reverse land on 01:07:308 - which is pretty strong in the song.
  7. 01:12:425 (3) - I would end this at 01:13:837 - where the drums stop.

    For comboing. I'd suggest that you NC every 2 measures (On easy). Which is every 2 big white lines.
    Here's some examples.
    The first combo should start at 00:01:484 (1) - and end at 00:03:955 -
    The second combo should start at 00:04:308 (5) - and end at 00:06:778 -
    If you notice the big finish playing at 00:07:131 (3) - It simply means that you've completed a set of 4 measures. Note that the next part has the same 4 but then an extra one starting at 00:12:778 - This would simply be NC'd for 1 measure (which in this diff you don't really map it) The basic idea for combos on this difficulty is below.

  1. 00:03:602 (4,6) - These could be nicely blanketed. try curve the (4) out a bit more.

  3. Some hitsounding examples now. 00:06:955 (5,6,7) - For the (5,6) you could try using the Normal sampleset (no additions) for the snares (highlight the note, and then in the top left change the sampleset to Normal.) and then use a finish for 00:07:131 -
  4. 00:09:161 (3) - Would personally fit the song butter if played at 00:09:867 - where the similar snare like 00:09:425 (5) - plays.
  5. 00:11:014 (7) - There isn't any sound playing on 00:11:102 - so butter yet, 00:11:278 - has some noise you can map to.
  6. 00:14:543 (2) - Using simple 1/2 sliders here would be more appropriate than having a 1/4 with multiple repeats. You don't have to map the 1/4 stream here in Hard.
  7. 00:16:308 (5) - same with this.
  8. 00:22:837 (2) - Maybe move the tail end of this up a bit? Just so there's more of a visual gap between (2) and (3,4,5) Small aesthetics again.
  9. 00:25:308 (6) - try making a copy paste of (5) so the angles of (5,6) are similar. The little things that help aesthetics.
  10. 00:33:955 (1) - blanket could be slightly improved. try moving the tail node to x112 y284 (you can see the coords of nodes by hovering overtop of them and then looking at the top right)
  11. The red timing at 01:00:690 - should be back at 00:51:249 - All of your other diffs should have similar timings as well. See the Easy diff mod for more info.
  12. 01:05:190 (6) - Try moving this up a bit so it isn't so close to the (4)'s tail. You may need to adjust for DS for 01:05:367 (1) - as well
  13. 01:10:219 - good spot to add a note if you want!
[Insane]
  1. 00:09:072 (2) - Try a 1/4 slider here as well so it couples with 00:08:896 (1) - and then the streaming can start appropriately at 00:09:248 (4) -
  2. 00:09:690 (8) - You could actually remove this since there isn't really anything in the song to support this note. For insane, you could easily nerf this a ton.
  3. 00:09:955 (12,1) - swap NC here.
  4. 00:10:484 (2,3,4,5) - Try moving these a little bit closer to (6), it's a pretty big jump otherwise.
  5. 00:18:425 (1) - Could be angled down a little to flow slightly better into the upcoming stream. Like 40-45° CW rotation would work.
  6. 00:19:484 (10) - Finish on the tail is a bit odd. It'd fit better on the head of 00:19:837 (1) -
  7. 00:22:661 (1) - Rotate left 90°, and control+G, (then move back into place). It'll flow slightly better into the stream again.
  8. 00:25:308 (9) - Finish doesn't really support here. The music gets quiet here, so there isn't anything loud playing. like before, it works better at 00:26:896 (1) - instead.
  9. 00:48:778 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - These notes here are actually in 1/3. Change the beat snap divisor to 1/3 (top right) and try this again.
  10. 01:08:102 - good spot to add a note!
  11. 01:13:131 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - 1/3 again.
[Extra]
  1. 00:08:896 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,1) - Note that you made this easier than your Insane, This means you should actually make sure you nerfed Insane a bit ;)
  2. 00:09:689 (10) - another reminder that 00:09:689 (10) - doesn't actually hit anything.
  3. 00:18:249 (12) - A little odd that this doesn't follow the same pattern as the notes before it. Did you know you can make streams using sliders? Try making a shape similar to 00:17:367 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - with a slider, and then press control+shift+f to convert it to a stream. Change the object count to 11. It's a great tool to help make evenly spaced streams. Another method is to use the distance snap tool with grid snap turned off, and do it that way (though it'll probably be a little bit messier.)
  4. 00:25:307 (9) - same thing about these finishes as Insane. I'll just mention it this once.
  5. 00:28:131 (6) - could be blanketed slightly better. Maybe something like x357 y260?
  6. 00:28:661 (2) - same as above. Try to avoid these overlaps! Might as well mention 00:30:778 (6,1) - as well.
  7. 00:43:837 (9) - Maybe loosen this curve a little. It's a bit sharp otherwise. Something like 00:44:543 (3) - is shaped well.
  8. 00:46:661 (1,2,3,4) - Try using copy paste for these so they're roughly the same angle. Simply rotate them after as needed.
  9. 01:05:278 - good spot to add a note if you want.
  10. 01:06:337 (7) - isn't a good spot for a note since there isn't much sound to back it up ;)
  11. 01:07:925 (7) - I'd suggest removing this as well for the same reasons.
  12. 01:10:572 (2) - Same as above. 01:10:220 - is a better spot for a circle.
  13. 01:13:131 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - reminder that this is in 1/3

[Hitsounding]

So your hitsounding is kinda lacking, since you've just put a clap on every other white tick which kinda works as a metronome but isn't very true to the song, which is what hitsounding should be. I'll look at Extra for this, so on 00:01:484 (1) - this slider if you turn off hitsound volume and listen slowly, you can hear that the start and end of this slider are a "kick" drum (idk the actual words help). This means you should find a hitsound that sounds similar, and use that one hitsound every time you hear this drum. You also have hats, like on 00:02:014 (2) - , but these don't really need hitsounding and just the base hitsound will do. 00:06:955 (6,7) - These two sound like snares, so a new hitsound is good for these and other sounds like it! 00:07:131 (1) - On this you can hear a finish, so add a softfinish, since you're already using soft hitsounds you just add a finish. Ok that's the basics of drum hitsounding, you can study other maps hitsounding to get a better idea of hitsounding more things than just drums, like using normalwhistle and such.

[Easy]

Follow Lanturn's advice on increasing distance snap to 1.2

  1. 00:51:249 - You have kiai starting during a break lol (and you don't actually end it)

See Extra and then apply the same ideas since this is just a less difficult Extra

  1. 00:01:484 (1,2) - So when you've got sliders like these you get an area where the player would expect the next object to be, considering the curvature of the slider it would typically be somewhere to the right of it, so where (2) is right now is kinda unexpected and it also doesn't play particularly well when you think of the path that the cursor will take
  2. 00:04:308 (1,3) - This overlap is pretty ugly since it's pretty uneven, i.e. some parts overlap more than others where you should be doing your best to keep consistent overlaps throughout (although you should try to avoid overlaps like this they look bad anyway)
  3. 00:07:837 (4) - So if you listen to this carefully, you can hear that the slider ends on a stronger beat than it starts on, which typically is a no-no. You need to consider what beats of the song you want to make clickable when you decide whether to use circles or sliders, since you want the stronger beat to be clickable I'd recommend turning this into two circles with greater spacing on the circle on 00:08:014 -
  4. 00:10:308 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - This looks really cramped vertically, expand these upwards a bit more so that it looks better
  5. 00:11:543 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Typically when you do big jumps like this you should try to keep roughly the same angle between them for each one in the same combo, whereas here (5,6,7) is 60 degrees as opposed to like 15 degrees or whatever the other ones are. Your two choices here are either make (5,6,7) keep the same angles as the rest of the jumps or put a new combo on (5) to indicate an angle change
  6. 00:14:190 (1) - Move this more right so that it leads into the stream a bit better
  7. 00:15:602 (1,2) - I'd just have the same spacing here as you have for (2,3), since theres no particularly strong beat compared to the others on (2) it doesn't make much sense to have the higher spacing
  8. 00:17:455 (3) - This doesn't exist in the music, also for 1/4 sections its good to start on red ticks because of rhythm reasons I can't really explain
  9. 00:48:778 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - This should be 1/3, you could try something similar to this if you like, it makes 1/3 parts playable for most people, especially when in this case there's not a whole lot you can do to indicate that there's a 1/3 section. If you do what I did, take note of the combo usage, as I've used the NC to indicate where the 1/3 section starts
  10. 01:02:543 - Start kiai here rather than in the buildup
  11. 01:00:778 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - This is good jump angle usage (not a modding point)
  12. 01:02:543 (1) - Add finish to the head
  13. 01:05:014 (1,2) - There's a beat inbetween these two you may have missed
  14. 01:08:190 (9) - Finish
  15. 01:13:131 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Could be good to do the slider thing I suggested for the previous 1/3
  16. 01:15:249 - Perhaps add a circle here directly in the center and move the spinner back 1/4 tick
  17. 01:15:249 (1) - End this on the downbeat at 01:17:720 -

    If it seems like I've mentioned something in one place, but then not mentioned the same thing elsewhere, that means I expect you to find and change them yourself ;)

Think of where to place slider and where to place two circles.

Normal
00:11:367 (3,1) - The overlapping here is hard to read, move the second slider a bit.
00:15:249 (2,3,4,1) - The flow of this pattern is too sharp compared to the smoothiness that you try to provide. (happens more often)
00:36:425 (3) - Feels unnatural compared to the rest of this difficulty. Although it fits with beats, 1/2 slider might be still too fast.
00:57:955 (3) - This slider doesn't fit the vocals, it seems you mapped them here, so change it to a circle and a 1/1 slider.
01:02:543 (1,2) - ^Reversal.
01:06:778 (2) - No beat on the reverse arrow.
01:09:249 (2) - The start of the slider is off, there is a much better beat later.
01:15:249 (1) - I suggest putting a circle here and shorten the slider by 1/4.

Hard
00:04:306 (1,2) - Should be a 1/1 slider.
00:14:190 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6) - Don't map this section so much to the drums and piano, add some vocals, so it doesn't feel so unclear.

00:27:602 (4,5) - Same as ^ + a circle at the end of 00:30:072 (2) - (Don't make this so hard, give the player an opportunity to listen to vocals)
00:36:953 - You should think of adding some circles there, there is a strong beat imo.
00:48:602 (2) - The slider is 1/4 repeative, but the beat is 1/3.
01:00:778 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - Here the song "graduates", you placed 1/2 circles correctly, but I would recommend you adding some distance between.
01:13:131 (1) - Again 1/4 repeative slider for a 1/3 beat.

Insane
First of all, there is not much of a SR difference between this difficulty and the Extra diff. They also don't have much different distance snap, try changing that.
00:01:484 (1,2) - Don't be scared of making 1/1 sliders in Insane/Extra diffs. For the start it feels much better.
00:08:896 (1,2) - These two... First of all, there is no beat on the slider end of (1). To continue, try to use slider leniency (I think I have linked you an article)
00:18:778 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - This stream would look much neater if it was from 1/4 "kicksliders", if you don't know why, then listen to the piano.
00:24:425 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Same beats as ^
00:36:953 - Same as in the Hard diff.
00:48:072 (7,1) - Too high distance.
01:10:131 (5,6,7) - No beat for it to be a triplet.
Play a bit more with the distance snap, this doesn't look as clear as it should.

Extra
00:14:188 (1) - from here 00:25:308 (9) - to here This does not look anywhere near to the beats, looks like randomly placed circles, sorry but this is the worst I have seen in this mapset so far.
00:36:953 - Can be mapped.
00:46:661 (1,2,3,4,5) - Change to be more to the vocals.
00:48:425 (6,7,8,1,2,3,4) - Please? At least change the spacing between (1,2)

Thanks man! You made me realize that i probably overspaced a couple of areas. Also interesting idea with the sped-up sliders, trying it atm.

00:02:188 (3) - do you mind straightening out sliders like this; I feel like the shape isnt really necessary and could be straight or have a slight curve - solution here: put the middle anchor 2 or 3 points up

00:14:365 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14) - add some kicksliders because there are changes in the snare hits so a straight line or single curve is kinda boring
